Well made meals, decent portions, fair prices, a mom & pop to-go restaurant with some seating both in & outside. John, a retired laborer gave the building a facelift with his carpentry skills. Wipa is Asian, John is not. He's very hard of hearing so speak up. Somehow phone orders are heard well but small talk strained. John mans the front counter and Wipa does all the food prep. I've been eating at Wipa's since it has opened a few years back and have never been disappointed. I did some traveling around the western United States for work and ate primarily Thai restaurants, so I know good Thai food. The best was Tom Thai in the U district in Seattle, until I ate at Wipa's. Wipas food is excellent, it's legit, and John is a friggin rock star behind the counter. Order a few hours ahead, hit redial if your call is dropped, yes it is that busy. Try out the, "curry in a hurry", at lunch, less expensive and it is fast. Also the prices are on average $8 to $10 less than other Thai restaurants in spokane. A good friend of mine either eat at the counter or the picnic tables weather permitting. read more

As indicated in the name of the restaurant, this is not a sit down establishment. However, it is some of the best Thai food I have ever had! I've had some very good Pad Thai at other restaurants, but this was by far the best that I have ever had. It had the perfect amount of chicken and the sauce was delicious; it was a very simple, delicious meal. The one drawback is that you have to order a number of hours ahead of time to get your food because they are very popular! The cashier was very friendly, even though I came in 20 minutes before closing. I had called ahead for a takeout order, but he was prepared to take an order right then and there! Chicken Pad Thai, is the dish I have had in the past from this establishment, but they have become so popular in the Community, it is no longer possible to enter the establishment, order and get your food in a reasonable amount of wait time. if you want Thai food here, you need to order at least an hour to an hour and a half ahead to get it; forget lunchtime enjoyment. Plan on a dinner and order in advance by hour and and a half to two hours . prices are now up to $16.00 or more a plate. My Tuesday schedule allowed me to merge with their open hours, so I stopped in at 4:00 Pm to see if I could pick up an order to go by 5:15pm. They did have my order ready on time, but the quality of food, since I last enjoyed it six years ago, was a huge disappointment. Dish was very dry, noodles dry to crispness or uncooked and the overall flavor was reminiscent of Thai Pai, but not hitting on all the cylinders. I am afraid their popularity has overwhelmed their ability to put out a quality dish. I will no longer frequent this establishment and instead rely on my home cooked Thai meals to suffice my palate. I came on Thursday and they had their Manang Curry? And omg let me tell you it smelled amazing the moment I walked in! I wanted to try the pad Thai but it was an hour and half wait and I had to run back home to get the kids over Sherman pass. This is literally a hidden gem. The building is behind other buildings on Main. I didn't know what to expect, as I was surprised that there was a Thai place in Colville. We ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Woon Sew, Pineapple Chicken, Fried Rice and Thai Iced Tea. The Pad Thai and Fried Rice are the best I've ever had, and that's saying a lot from someone who has eaten at some amazing Thai places in Seattle. Colville is lucky to have such a delicious thai food place. We love the pad thai. My husband usually gets a chicken or beef stir fry. I love the panang curry too. The only problem is they are busy and often err in their time estimates. Still highly recommend this place. Yum! read more

First time here & I ordered Cashew Chicken. Wow! It was the best I've had outside of Sattahip, Thailand. The chef included the little dried chilis which added the perfect amount of heat.
