Our visit to Dragon Wok was a mixed outcome. Service to our table took quite a while, actually. We finally did get our order put in and the place started filling up. This was our second visit and not at all like our first visit. I had the egg foo young and it really was tremendous with a generous serving and packed with vegetables and shrimp and deliciousness. My issue with the visit was that it took so long to get our order taken ( and it wasn't busy at the time) and then every time someone from the staff visit at our table they walked away without taking any of the dirty dishes. It happened three times. We had a table full of dishes! I have to say that our first visit was spot on and that is principally why we returned. This time I ordered something that is not easy to get right. But they got it right and it was absolutely delicious. But the poor service and less-than-attentive clearing of plates was just weird. It was as if every employee was hoping that the next employee would pick them up. I heard from one of the guests sitting close that this restaurant does a heckuva business since they're smack dab in the middle of a higher dollar neighborhood. Guessing by the number of people coming in to pick up to go orders I would say that half their business is to go. Perhaps that is why their tableservice was amiss. I finally just asked the last employee that stopped by our table if he could clear some items, and he seemed as though he hadn't even noticed them. So I would give food fairly high marks, nothing crazy unique but strong entrees based on the obligatory dishes you would imagine at any standard Asian restaurant. First time at Dragon Wok. There were four of us for dinner. Showed up at about 6pm Saturday night. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered Dragon Wings as an appetizer. First off - they were huge - secondly they were tasty! We ordered: String Bean Beef, Triple Delight, Yum Yum Chicken and Hot Braised Chicken. NOT ONE MISFIRE! All were very good. Chinese food is a type of cultural delicacy that is found within every city. I am a firm believer that you have to find your favorite Chinese food and go to spot when you are near home. This is my spot. If you have not tried dragon wok yet you are missing out and need to get takeout or plans for dine in immediately. The restaurant has a small shared parking lot but plenty of space inside for large groups or just a quick meal by yourself. I highly recommend the sesame chicken, egg drop soup, shrimp fried rice, lo mein, crab ragoon's, eggrolls and other Chinese staples. The sauces are just right and have great flavor. Got takeout. The online ordering is AWESOME! Had Yum Yum Chicken and Chicken Chow Mein. Love that you can pick your appetizer for your meals. Also you can change anything about what is normally in the dish you choose. For instance, I hate carrots, no problem to remove it and I could add something in its place, at no charge! Also a breeze to let them know what else you need (i.e. soy sauce, hot mustard or sweet and sour sauce - BTW both homemade). Only reason they didn't get 5 stars - hot mustard didn't make it into my bag and I had to go back in. read more

This is right by our house and feel so lucky that there is a QUALITY Chinese Restauant in our neighborhood. We've been here a few times and have always enjoyed the food tremendously! I am very confused as to why this place is rated so highly on yelp, especially in comparison to other Chinese places in the Omaha area that are much better. My friends and I wanted to try a new Chinese place for fun and this was rated higher that most of what is in Omaha, so we tried it out. Right away when we walked in the restaurant had a strange atmosphere and didn't feel like a restaurant but something more cold and uninviting. I came in to pick up my phoned in order and it was so fast and easy. It was dinner time and so busy but all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Had Dragon Wok for the first time tonight! To serve a family of 4, it cost $32 and we have leftovers! Prices are amazing for the quality of the food. It was also very fresh and hot after a 10 minute car ride and waiting 10 minutes before eating it! The peanut butter chicken needed a little bit more sauce but it was very flavorful and they used white meat chicken!!! The combo lo menu was a HUGE portion and delicious! The honey walnut shrimp was really good but it was too breaded unfortunately. I will definitely come back here and this will be my new go to Chinese food place!!! Can't wait to try more items!!! Found this place recently, and really like it. Great variety in the menu, portion sizes are generous. Haven't had a bad thing yet. Our first time back getting to go dinner since waiting over 4 hours for our Christmas Eve dinner that we ended up canceling because it was taking forever to be fine. Went to this restaurant for the first time. I ordered sezchuan beef. My wife ordered Chicken Lo Mein. The place is new and the inside is inviting and comfortable. The Sezchuan Beef had too much brown sauce. It was supposed to be spicy but I couldn't detect any spiciness at all. Actually it was kind of bland. Adding soy sauce helped. The Sezchuan Beef was not not as good as several other oriental restaurants in town. The Chicken Lo Mein also lacked much flavor and had a fishy flavor. Which probably means the chef didn't clean the wok between dishes. We may go back and try a couple other dihes. They may have just had a bad night. read more

I am just absolutely shocked with this place. We ordered orange chicken and chicken fried rice. In both dishes the chicken was dry but the orange chicken was by far the most dry chicken I've ever eaten. The picture attached show just how dry it was. (The breading was so hard it was crumbing off of the chicken) The chicken was obviously fried for way too long. I called in and spoke to a very nice lady that informed me she would ask her manager if she could give me a refund for the food. After a short wait she told me that her manager said she could not give me a refund but she could remake my food or give me a credit for next time. Very politely I asked, why would I not be able to get a refund. She did not know why she couldn't give me a refund and asked if I'd like to speak with a manager. I said, "That would be great! Thank you." After a few minutes the manager picked up and told me the same thing as the employee. Again politely, I asked, what is the reason you arent able to give me a refund. The manager said the same thing again. At this point my tone changed a bit and I asked again, what is the reason I am not able to get a refund. The manager replied, "Because thats not what we are going to do." I offered to bring my food back in as I only live 5 minutes away, so they could see how dry the chicken was. The manager then said, "Jon, I totally believe that your chicken was dry but anyone can call in and say their food was bad, but that doesnt mean I will give a refund." At this point I was furious. Not once did anyone apologize for my food being cooked wrong and on top of that the manager was completely rude at ever moment. I then told him, "then I will not be coming back here ever again" and the manager could care less. I worked in the food service industry for 5 years in many different positions and I completely understand that sometimes mistakes are made, but above all the customer needs to be first priority. This restaurant is obviously more worried about giving money back then they care about repeat business. I then started looking in to other reviews and saw a response from the owner (picture attached) stating that "restaurants provide refunds when there was an error... or the food was not cooked accurately." Apparently this is not a written rule because after all of my kindness and willingness to bring the food back, they rudely refused to give me my money back. I was absolutely baffled while hearing this and could not believe that a customer service based industry would treat anyone the way I was treated tonight. read more
