The service and ambiance were disappointing. When my family and I walked in, the staff seemed noisy and inattentive, even though there were only three of us. We did not feel welcomed, and there was very little hospitality. Overall, the experience was not inviting or enjoyable. Food was 3/5

    74. Cashew chicken, YUM! And huge portion! 81. Kung Pao Shrimp - boyfriend ordered this. Not a big fan of peppers but he ate most of it so I bet it was pretty good!

I wish I had more images to document I had here, it was exceptional! This was very much an authentic dim sum type meal. My friends and I especially enjoyed the egg, custard buns, the fried pork, and the pork belly. The fried pork came out much later than everything else, I thought they had forgotten my meal. Otherwise, the timing of this meal was great. The service was great as well! No complaints, they were very kind and accommodating to us having the baby at our table. The restaurant is a little tight (I wouldn't have noticed except that we had a stroller) so keep that in mind if you were with a large group. Overall, I would love to return! This is affordably, priced, and the menu is very versatile -- or something for everyone!

My husband and I are doing the ABCs of Omaha Restaurants we haven't been to, and New Gold Mountain ended up being the only N restaurant we hadn't been to (that we could find after extensive research!) So we made our way to New Gold Mountain, and it's in the Askarven Village area, which we love. The exterior is bright and modern so we were excited for that. Unfortunately, the interior is a little more dated and it also wasn't very clean or welcoming. When we walked into the establishment, one worker was screaming at another right in front of a bunch of diners. Not cool. Then when we were seated, our server (the one screaming at the other), sat us at a table with a dirty towel on it (?!) We politely asked for that to be removed, obviously, and she complied. There were also straw wrappers and trash bits on the floor near us too. Ick. Aside from the unprofessional attitude of the staff and dirtiness of the interior, the actual decor of the restaurant was pretty nice. A big wooden bar at the front, nice lighting, and some cool Chinese pieces tucked around the place. We perused the menu and saw a few things we were excited about. The dim sum looked great, with so many options to choose from. We ordered from the dim sum menu, but also from the normal entree menu. We started with the Chicken and Corn Soup. We were expecting it to just be a little bowl of it, but it is HUGE. It came in a silver pot with a ladle. We actually liked this a lot, as it's literally just chicken noodle soup basically, in the flavor (and I'm a big fan of corn). We also ordered the crab rangoon, and it was pretty tasty. I usually eat the crabby parts and put the wonton points into my soup, so I did that with the corn soup and it worked well. For our dim sum, we ordered three (but actually only got two). Our third one just never came, and we were full by the end of the meal so didn't want to complain and have it come and not eat it. We had the BBQ Buns, which were nice and fluffy, and the meat inside was flavorful, but a little bit of a small amount of it. And we got the Spare Ribs with Black Bean Sauce, and it had good flavor, but did have the bones inside each little hunk of rib, so be careful there. My husband almost broke a tooth! For the entree that we shared along with the apps and dim sum, we chose the Garlic Chicken. It was a large portion and the chicken was very tender and juicy. I would still recommend checking out New Gold Mountain, because the food was actually pretty good. I only knocked off a few stars for the cleanliness of the restaurant and rudeness of the staff.

I've been wanting to go to this place for a while. And I'm glad I did. I ordered a bunch of stuff to try. Chinese broccoli noodle rolls roast duck. Salt and pepper shrimp. And a bunch of other things. So yummy and delicious reminds me of Hawai'i. The service was nice and very attentive. The inside was nice lots of seating.

There is a dim sum menu here and the dim sum is legit. I love the dim sum here. It is as good as NYC, LA and Boston Chinatown dimsum. I got the congee which is a rice porridge, and it is pretty good and reminds me of what my grandma would make as a kid. This location is at Aksarben Village and right near one of the garages. There is so much free parking, making this an easy accessible restaurant.

We were looking for dim sum restaurant and decided to come try this restaurant. I'm used to seeing the ladies push the carts from table to table with plates of food to choose. This restaurant does not, however they have a dim sum menu and will cook to order. Nice restaurant, additional dining room on the otherside of the wall and also patio area. Food was delicious.

We had a large group of 8 people for my grandmas birthday, they were very accommodating and kind with us. We ordered a lot of different dishes and they all came out quickly and none were left out. The plum wine was AMAZING!!! The waitress we had even took our photo and I thought that it was so kind of her to offer!

This is a authentic Cantonese restaurant in Omaha . It has a dim sum menu and a regular menu , plus lunch menu with different kinds of beef , pork , shrimp and chicken rice plate . We love the ginger and green scallion hot oil over princess chicken , green scallion stir fry beef , roasted duck and spare ribs . It has a big party room for 15-20 people . Good customer service. Quick and efficient. Sometimes it is hard to find parking right across the street . May have to walk one to two blocks . We have been to this place 3 times and keep on going back !

One of the best kept secrets in Omaha! Anyone that's ever experienced great dim sum (think New York or San Francisco) in the states, will appreciate this gem. A complete dim sum menu without the carts. Outstanding noodle dishes, dumplings, and the duck is out of this world! The restaurant has great service, is very clean, and can get filled up very quickly. Plenty of parking out front or in the multi level garage just behind the restaurant. One of the chefs (Jimmy) previously led the kitchen at the Canton house on 90th St., and received accolades by Yan (Yan Can Cook) for his great cooking capabilities. A separate smaller party room is available and can be reserved for family events. Reasonably priced, good food, great service. What more can you ask for?

We popped in here for a late lunch and it was friendly, clean and delicious. Moo shu pork was delicious, and every thought the spicy cucumbers where a great appetizer. Great that there was spicy pepper oil in the table to make your own degree of hotness. We will be back!

For Omaha, this is so far the best Chinese food. Love their DimSum. Good Hot and Sour soup, duck and congee. The servers are friendly.
