Open Tuesday through Sunday 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and serving both dine in and a very steady take out business. The Hot and Sour soup is to die for, the chicken and pork dishes are always very on point . The wait staff, usually a bunch of teenagers, who are definitely not typical teenage workers of today, actually doing an amazing job at taking care of their customers. I have not seen customer service like this in a long time. Kudos to management for showing these kids how to do things right! Really great Chinese food! One of my favorite places. The hot & sour soup is excellent and easily some of the best in town in my opinion. Entrees come in either single or family sizes and the portions are filling. I love that you get two crab rangoons with your meal. Everything I've tried has been great from chicken fried rice, broccoli chicken, peanut butter chicken (add veggies for something different), triple delight, kung pao and general's chicken just to name a few! This was my second time visiting this Chinese restaurant. The staff were friendly, quick, and kept the facility clean. However, I felt the portion sizes were slightly off and lacking compared to other Chinese cuisine competitors in the area. The photo attached may give the false illusion that there's a lot due to the angle/positioning. I think altering the portion sizes or giving a slightly larger carry-out container/box would be a positive implementation to address this concern. read more

I tried the Michael's Special (secret menu item) from here and it was amazing! Sweet and tangy teriyaki-like sauce with a spicy kick to it. The chicken is tender and juicy. I like the special vegetables in it like the zucchini and string beans. If you decide to stop by here, try this and you will definitely like it. The service was quick and my server was very friendly. All 4 of my children launch themselves out of wherever they're sitting when I say we're going here to eat, "Peanut Butter Chicken! Woo!" We've found our favorites after so many visits (PB, Sesame, and String Bean Chicken, and Egg Foo Young) and typically order 3 of those or a couple of those along with something new. Saw that the Golden Bowl had some good reviews on Yelp and wanted to try it out for myself. Stopped in for a early weekday lunch. The first thing you will notice when entering the restaurant parking lot is that the entrance and exit are reversed. Normally you enter on the right side and exit on the left...... Not here and it is confusing. Not sure why they did it that way. There is table service available, but I did not realize that when I entered and ended up ordering from the takeout counter. I did end up eating there, so another little bit of confusion Menu is diverse and has several entrees that I have not seen at other local Chinese restaurants like Honey Walnut Shrimp. Decided to go with that for lunch and made it a dinner that came with fried rice and crab rangoons. The shrimp were very tasty and I would definitely get this again. Only drawback is you only get about 6-8 pieces of shrimp. Could have used a few more pieces, but the meal was filling. Not the most inexpensive Chinese restaurant in the Bellevue area, but overall flavors were pretty good read more

I was so excited to try the newest Chinese restaurant in town. We finally made it to the Golden Bowl on Saturday evening. The fact that there were a number of cars parked at the restaurant was a good sign. We went in the waiter/owner immediately sat us and gave us our menu's. If you like a restaurant with a large menu then this is your place. I ordered the firecracker chicken, my wife ordered the string bean and chicken dish, my daughter had Teriyaki Chicken and my other daughter had their chicken fried rice. I also had a bowl of their hot and sour soup. The meal came with rice and two crab rangoon (which was a nice touch). One thing I noticed right away was the food was not greasy. Sometimes when I ago to Chinese restaurants the food seems to have a small pool of oil/grease The Golden Bowl did not. The food came out quickly and the portions were very reasonable for the price. My food was tasty but the firecracker chicken was mild at best same as the soup...next time I think I will ask them to spice it up. My wife enjoyed her meal but the green beans were out of season and she did not care for the green beans so she did not eat them, Both girls liked their meals. I must say the waiter/owner was very nice and attentive. Filling our water glasses and noticing my wife did not eat the green beans and even said she should have said something. So he was outstanding. I would have rated the restaurant higher but as we were leaving the cashier (female) and the delivery driver was arguing over who lost a credit receipt fortunately the waiter/owner quickly took them behind closed doors so they would not interrupt their customers. I think we all agreed we would absolutely be back. The food was good for the price, the waiter was very friendly (which makes a huge difference) and I always try hard to make sure we go to Bellevue restaurants hoping they will thrive. The beef fried rice as well as the fried dumplings are cooked very well & pack great flavors. There's a pretty good portion of food to work with so its definitely filling. Reasonable pricing here as well, especially considering the good quality of the food. They are also very swift when it comes to service; average wait time is 15 minutes which is average for most Chinese restaurants. Overall its definitely a place that I would recommend trying out. This is our go-to delivery place since moving to Bellevue. They are fast, have a 10% military discount, and the food is pretty good! Pros: The jalapeño chicken (or beef or combo) is soooo good! Lots of onions. We also usually get the General Tso's chicken, potstickers, and coconut shrimp. Get the family size for good size portions! Cons: The hot and sour soup is really good when it's hot, but turns into a big blob of goo that's almost impossible to re-liquify when refrigerated. The egg rolls are just ok, and crab rangoons are not great. Service is usually great, but once they forgot my rice. I called and they were very nice about it and offered to either bring it to me or give me a credit for my next order. Since it was late and I had some other rice I could cook, I opted for the credit.
