After experiences with larger fertility clinics where I felt like just a number, this office has been completely different -- here, you are treated like a human being. For the first time in this journey, I actually feel happy instead of stressed. Everything has been so smooth, organized, and seamless, which has made such an emotional process feel manageable and even hopeful. What truly sets this practice apart is that Dr. Zapantis personally performs all procedures himself. He takes the time to answer every question thoroughly and even draws diagrams to ensure you fully understand your treatment plan. He creates individualized plans for each patient and works closely with you and your spouse to make sure everyone feels comfortable and confident. He has also been incredibly flexible and accommodating with my husband's work schedule, which has meant so much to us. Because this is a smaller practice, nothing feels cookie-cutter or like a one-size-fits-all approach. Every treatment plan is truly personalized, and you can feel how much thought and care goes into every decision. Everyone here goes above and beyond -- you never have to worry about being left waiting for a phone call or email. Communication is prompt, clear, and reassuring, which makes such a difference during a process that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Priscilla is always quick to respond and so helpful. Joyce is consistently kind and welcoming every time we walk through the door. Sandra patiently answers all of my questions, reassures us, and even gives me a hug when I need it most. Kim and Susan have also been wonderful to work with. The entire team is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly makes you feel like family. Fertility treatment can be an emotional journey, but this office makes you feel heard, supported, and cared for every step of the way. I am so grateful to be under their care and highly recommend them to anyone navigating infertility.

I was a patient at the Roslyn office. Dr. George Kofinas, Dr. Narine and their team are AMAZING. We…read moredid many rounds of IVF with them and everyone there was so helpful, sensitive and kind through all of our ups and downs. They were always available to talk or for a last minute visit. Every single member of the staff is overwhelmingly dedicated and caring, they make every patient feel like family. The surgery office by Wall Street also really makes you feel safe and comfortable, and the surgery staff and anesthesiologists are wonderful. My husband and I struggled with poor genetic quality with the embryos we produced, and Dr. Kofinas recommended trying PRP in my ovaries. Shortly after we became pregnant with a healthy baby girl, who was born recently. I couldn't recommend the Kofinas fertility team more.

Walking into the office the first time, coming off of a couple of failed ivf cycles with a previous doctor I was nervous and emotional and a little defeated. Dr. Kofinas examined me and discovered that I had many more fibroids than I had known about and a significant amount of endometriosis that I had not known about at all. He seemed confident that this was the reason I wasn't getting pregnant and we quickly scheduled my surgery to correct these issues. I can't explain the emotion and relief I felt to finally feel like there was a reason for my lack of success and not just "unexplained infertility ", the diagnosis that my previous doctor had given me. I had proceeded with multiple egg retrievals and finally a successful embryo transfer a few months ago! Through the entire process the professionalism and kindness and personalized approach to myself and every patient was exceptional. The confidence and trust I had in Dr Kofinas was truly the most comforting thing through such and emotional process. All of the staff always greeted me with a smile and answered any questions in a way that took away any fear that I'd be fixated on. This entire office, and every one I encountered along the way in the manhattan surgical center, are a collection of such special people who are truly in the right profession and I can't express how grateful I am for each and every one of them. I'd be writing this same review even if my experience wasn't successful. Dr. Kofinas was extremely thorough and just an amazing doctor and person. Angels on earth! -Nancy Pollock

Unfortunately through my fertility journey I have been to multiple practices. Island fertility is…read moremy last (and was hoping final) clinic on my long journey. First let me start with Dr. Trivax who is absolutely AMAZING! Unlike my previous doctor, as soon as outcomes were not as expected he left no stone unturned and did additional testing to identify an underlying issue that was the KEY to exactally why I have struggled so long with secondary infertility. I can't say enough great things about him. However the FINANCE DEPARTMENT is BEYOND HORRIBLE!! It's such a SHAME such great doctor staff are supported by such a poor performing finance department. I don't know how anyone there still has a job. My initial retrevial I almost missed starting my meds because it took almost week to get in contact with someone and get the issues resolved. It's close to impossible to get someone on the phone unless you raise all h*ll and call the office non stop leaving messages with every other department. Kudos to the nursing staff whose other main job is trying to get finance to call back patients. Additionally, after I did all my due diligence they are trying to tell me I have significant fees due AFTER I had the procedure done. Which they are now willing to "see what they can do and discuss with doctor" because ya, they dropped the ball informing me of these fees prior to procedure (mind you they even have a call with you prior to go over all fees you will be responsible for). And again, after I did my due diligence to ensure what my expected out of pocket would be for back to back retrievals they call me MID CYCLE to inform me oops that I owe fees and want to make me aware before I start my cycle.. but they are notifying me day 4 which is no where near before the start of a cycle. If you are between facilities, I strongly urge you to do your homework and due diligence as you will have nothing but headaches with the finance department which unfortunately is part of your journey. Thanks for taking the time to read and best of luck on your journey!

She never gave up on me even though it was a rough road and she always changed treatment protocol til we found the right one. I also love the nursing staff, especially Fran, and both nurse practitioners. Complaints are that the finance department is next to impossible to get in touch with, and when you are first starting they have a tendency to cancel appointments. We were delayed getting started because they canceled my husband's sperm analysis twice. They also just raised their prices which I think is pretty disturbing since it was already expensive enough. Thanks to Dr Safier talking to finance I was able to get 30% off one of my cycles but they were rude about it and just said "we won't be doing this again." 5 stars for the medical team but one star off for finance

If you've been diagnosed with a low ovarian reserve and/or have egg quality issues, this review is…read morefor you. Four years ago, I was in your position, and I am now going to pay it forward by telling you what a work colleague then told me: "The doctor you need to see is Dr. Kang at Weill Cornell; I wouldn't have my babies without her." Before seeing Dr. Kang, I was treating at another facility, where I had multiple failed IUIs and IVFs and was told I would be given one more shot before having to resort to an egg donor, that my egg quality was obviously too poor. I was only 35 at the time and, while feeling hopeless and depressed, also refused to believe that of the few eggs I had left not one could create a healthy, normal embryo. It was at this time I was referred to Dr. Kang by the aforementioned colleague, as she had previously gone through the same devastating losses with other doctors as I had. At my first consultation with Dr. Kang, I immediately started to feel relief. She was warm, welcoming, easy to speak with, and most importantly was down to business; she had a job to do, and that was to get me pregnant. She asked about my prior protocols and if they had tried x, y, or z, etc., to improve my egg quality - they had not. As per Dr. Kang, there was more that could be done for me, and that was all I needed to hear. My hope was restored. My first IVF with Dr. Kang was not an immediate success, but there was significant improvement. Whereas at the previous doctor's office I only had 2 and 6 eggs retrieved, on my first IVF with Dr. Kang I had 12 eggs retrieved. However, despite the increased quantity, the quality wasn't quite where it needed to be, but she told me to stick with it, try not to get frustrated, and that there were many other options I could try to improve my quality. I did a few more cycles, with medication and the protocol being tweaked each time to find the combination of what worked best for my body, and finally it worked. I started producing high-quality embryos and genetically normal blastocysts. After 3.5 years of fertility treatments and 6 years of trying, I was finally pregnant at 38 years old. I honestly could not have done this without Dr. Kang. Her tenacity, compassion, and overall awesomeness was what I needed for this to work and also to keep me sane. My previous facility had excellent doctors, but what my body needed was an individualistic approach to treatment, as opposed to the cookie-cutter treatments prescribed at most fertility centers. Dr. Kang's treatments are all about the individualistic approach. Another benefit to being a patient at CRM at Weill Cornell is access to the services they provide for fertility patients. Due to the stress involved with treatments and exams and the depression and anxiety that crept in as a result of infertility, life became harder to manage, so I was able to see Dr. Grill, a psychologist on staff at the center who specializes in infertility. Dr. Grill made my life not only bearable during this time but helped me to find coping skills and relaxation strategies to decrease and manage the traumatic feelings that manifest as a result of infertility. She was immensely valuable with helping me to relax and also worked with me to reinstate my sense of control over my body to keep myself in a good, strong place both mentally and physically. Also, the staff is amazing. Diana, Dr. Kang's assistant, makes scheduling very easy and is very prompt and friendly. Dr. Kang's nursing staff is top notch and oversees the monitoring process in a streamlined and organized manner. They are all truly wonderful. I cannot promise you that your treatment with Dr. Kang will be successful, but I can promise that she will do everything in her power to improve your chances. Not only did she help me to achieve pregnancy - something I was truly doubting I could ever achieve - she also helped another friend of mine improve her egg quality after many miscarriages. This friend just had her first baby thanks to Dr. Kang. I am now 13 weeks pregnant and even have several genetically normal blastocysts still left in the freezer. Thank you, Dr. Kang, for everything!
