Dragonfly is a great overall course. Great staff, peaceful surroundings down in the river bottom. Bunkers need some work because the sand is sparse. Have one bone to pick and that is that they are allowing fivesomes on the course. Drastically slows down play. Have experienced this three times in the last two months. Hate to say it but maybe a Marshall would speed up the pace of play. read more

This was my 1st time playing at this Awesome Course, I was impressed when I arrived. The Parking, the Club Houses and Abby was so nice and accommodating. Great course. Best fairways in the valley, and a fun layout with challenging holes. Also each golf cart comes equipped with nice GPS yardage features showing you all the info you need to know. It can be pricey but twilight fees are very reasonable. read more

D Fly is an excellent course. Long and challenging. Good people that work there especially Andrews, Stephanie, and Kurt. Excellent twilight rates considering the golf carts have gpa and they offer their patrons free ice water and sometimes water soaked towels during the hot summers. First time to Dragonfly,I knew very little about it. We live locally in Madera and decided to go out there. Overall a great experience there were six of us that played and we unanimously agreed that we would go back and play there again. The course was in very good shape and was very challenging made for a very fun round of golf. Staff and amenities were excellent! read more

Dragonfly is my go to course these days. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, and they could use a Marshall to prevent "6somes" from playing, but otherwise it is a wonderful place to spend your free time. The course is great and challenging, especially the greens and rough. Food is great, and the staff helpful (thanks Stephanie and Andrew!). And, don't forget the most important service...the cart girls! They're great at keeping the cold beers flowing! Great time can be had by all at Dragonfly! read more

This extremely long golf course is one of the best values in California. The holes are challenging. Somehow they have these trees getting in front of my drives though. They seem to move. Also the holes move when I am putting. How do they make moving holes? And the air has some effect on the balls so that the chips don't go where I tell them to go. And the water seems to jump and grab my balls when I shoot over it. But it is a good value . read more

We held our 50th high school reunion golf tournament there last Friday. I worked with Kurt to plan the event and even though our group was not large, I felt like I was treated very well. The staff was helpful and responsive the day off the event. The course provided a tough test in the high winds but we had a blast. I'd recommend this course if you want to hold a tournament. read more

Played Dragonfly on April 3. Course in excellent condition, both fairways and greens. Played moved along at a very reasonable pace. Folks in the Pro Shop are very personable and accommodating. Everyday price is a bit expensive for seniors on fixed income, but I appreciate the fact that they routinely run "specials" that make the price more reasonable. Would recommend this course to all who enjoy courses built into the native environment. read more

This was my home course in high school. It's challenging, but it wasn't too challenging to not do well. The course is maintained well and I love how it's secluded from everything. It makes for a peaceful golf game. read more

I usually play here several times each year..but before yesterday it had been almost 11 months. The Good: Excellent fairways, nice staff. The Bad: greens were in mediocre condition. Long grass. Plenty of unrepaired ballparks and what appeared to be a bad worm problem on several holes that led to hundreds of little 1/8 inch high mounds of dirt on the greens. Putting was a bigger challenge than it should have been. Bunkers did not have a lot of sand. The Twilight deal for $29 that includes a cart is still a good deal but beware that the greens are nowhere near as good as they have been in the past. read more

This course is under new management and have a fleet of new carts. Good design, but they take themselves a little to seriously for the condition of the the course. Bunkers were in terrible condition, no sand, hard pan. Should not happen on a course that is the most expensive in the area read more

This is my favorite course in town! There are a variety of challenges and looks, and the greens are the best, and fastest greens around. I ended the round with the same ball that I started with, which is extra special on this course. I felt welcomed when I checked in, and the grounds crew were courteous and friendly. We went this last weekend at the twilight time and got on right away and was able to get in a full 18 holes. The course is beautiful and a nice one to golf at. Lots of trees and shade. Enjoyed ourself and didnt spend too much either. read more

Wide open links course with trouble lurking. Bunkers galore as well as big trees in your way unless you hit it straight. Fairways are in excellent shape. Greens are the same. Great value for the weekend after 2:00 PM of only $30. No wonder it was crowded but 3 hrs and 50 minutes is not bad considering. Very windy and it made the course play longer. Only problem was no water on the course. They do provide coolers and ice so bring a lot of water with you and keep hydrated. Definitely some place you must play. read more

This course is in great shape, but painful to play because of slow play related to mis-managment. This course definitely needs a marshall out there, especially in the morning when the first groups out set the pace for the day. Overpriced for a true municipal course experience. read more

Dragonfly is a nice course, but they have no marshalls so pace of play is horrible. We played on Friday, 10/26/17, and there was a 6some 3 groups ahead of us on the front nine. Several people called and the courses solution was to post a message on gps system to please speed up play. Also talking to staff, they said this issue has been raised before, but management hasnt done anything about it. I guess when they start losing business they will do something. I know they have lost mine as 5hr+ weekday rounds are no fun. read more

I have NEVER been to any golf course that does not offer on course water jugs. Airways, Madera, Fig Garden, Sherwood, etc. ALL have on course water. While playing in the winter months there were no water jugs on course, but I assumed when the weather heated up Dragonfly would put water stations out on the course. Well it was 90 degrees yesterday and there was a sign on the front desk stating "No On Course water, PURCHASE drinks at the snack bar." That's BS. Not offering on course water in the summer months is hazardous for golfers. If someone doesn't bring enough water in their cart (or how about he poor guys who are walking?) there is no way to hydrate and no way to cool down by soaking towels. Obviously, Dragonfly has put the almighty buck in front of common courtesy and common sense. Just wait until something bad happens (heat stroke, exhaustion or worse) on course and they get sued....this is how shrewd the "manager" is at Dragonfly. I asked him point blank why there was no course water, and after bumbling and stumbling for a few seconds he said "Well, that would take 30 minutes to explain to you..." Really, Dragonfly? Quit trying to extort money from your customers at the risk of their health and safety and put some damn water on the course. read more

Course was in good condition in general. Staff was disorganized as a group of 6-8 were here for a business golf day 7am. 6 turned out for a foursome and a twosome. 1-9 holes were rushed toward the end. Stopped at the clubhouse for food and beverage. Twosome came in and left after food, foursome came in and while we were still waiting for our food to be prepared, a member of the staff asked us to leave to the 10th hole to speed up the process. When we received our food we departed to golf while eating our food on the course. Half way thru the 10th hole we received a message via cart gps screen to speed up! If food was prepared promptly and an adequate amount of time to eat was available the group would not be behind. They forced us to speed thru several holes to get THEIR schedule back on pace. Many regulars make other new comers not feel welcome at all. Not sure I will recommend this course to others based on our experience. read more

Great practice areas, very good value for dollar green fees and best of all a challenging layout with various tee boxes for all level of skill. Was thinking about playing a round at dragonfly, but they won't give you a rain check. Funny how they do promotions on days when rain is the forecast then make sure you pay for 18 holes, but most certainly won't be able to play all 18. Played this course with a group of 4. It's a sweet treat when we can play this very nicely laid out course. Its probthe nicest course to play around the Fresno area. You will pay a premium for this course but they do have special lowered rates down to 39.00 w cart on certain weekends and certain weekdays. The course has a little bit of every level of difficulty, fairways are excellent as well as the greens. Even the rough is playable if not to far out. Bunkers are about average but not loose sand so be careful. Course play is ok with no bunching up or others hitting up behind you. Make sure you take water and power drinks as there are no water dispensers on course but you can buy from mobile food n drink cart. One word of advice. Do not go into the brush to find your ball. I picked up a very large tick that luckily didn't bite me I hope on my pant outside surface. First time I've ever seen one. The club house is small and can get loud with the good old boys shootin the breeze. The social atmosphere is ok if you fit in. If not fit in you'll get the usual stares and snickers from some of the regulars but for the most part is pretty pleasant. The staff are nice and friendly but the kitchen could move a little more quicker getting the food out. This course overall is the best around Fresno area you can get next to Ridgecreek in Dinuba. Highly recommend this course. read more

fairways have lots of weeds, greens are concrete and staff is rude. they do not like handicapped players and refuse to let them take a cart to their car or the driving range new name is dragonfly and new owners are rude and expensive read more
