They fixed my chunky glass lamp and did a good job of it. They were prompt and cheerful as well as being knowledgeable.

I showed up yesterday at Dragonfly in hopes they could cut the glass (which I brought with me) for my jewelry piece. Lina (forgive me if I spelled uncorrectly) did an amazing work and shaped the glass to fit my locket. She truly made my day!!! I asked for recommendations on FB for stained glass shops in the area and Dragonfly Stained Glass Studio was recommended -- and only 10 minutes from friend's house! Linda, Larr y andLanie could not have been any more friendly or helpful! I found several pieces of glass I was looking for and at a reasonable price. We had a broken pane in the center of a big stained glass window that was 50 years old. We had contacted someone else about it before talking to Larry and they said it couldn't be patched or fixed, and that the entire window needed to come out. Larry came out to take a look and said he thought he could do the repairs without removing the window, and lo and behold -- he managed to do a fabulous job where you couldn't tell that anything had ever happened to the window. He couldn't have been more pleasant, professional, or easier to work with and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs work done on stained glass. I had used Dragonfly once in the past, and wanted to hire Larry again for a small project. For one full year, he put me off and never even came to the house to look at the place where I wanted the stained glass piece put. First he said he was busy with end of 2018 Christmas orders. Then he was busy for several months at the Renaissance Fair. Then fall of 2019 I called his shop and a man took my message and said Larry would call me. Larry didn't. So then I tried contacting him through his Facebook page. A woman who said she was his ex-wife contacted me and gave me what she said was his cell number. I've been itching for a Stained Glass art class but everything has been at a standstill due to Covid so I did the next best thing and visited Dragonfly to ask a few beginner questions and check out some supplies. What a great little gem! Larry, the owner, and one of his teammates, a very kind woman who helps in selling Larry's stained glass pieces at the local Renaissance Faire (wish I caught her name!) were both extremely helpful and personable. Larry answered all of my questions and introduced me to a few beginner tool kits that have been used yet are literally half the cost of a new kit. PERFECT for a beginner since new tools can come later with experience. They also sell various glass scraps at about a dollar or so a pound - another great deal. The shop may be small but their selection is pretty good; I can only imagine how much more they carried prior to the pandemic. I will definitely be back soon to support this awesome small business! read more

I searched everywhere to find a place to have my exquisite Tiffany lamp repaired. I was so fortunate to find Dragonfly in Canoga Park. They are true artists. Both Larry and Mario went out of their way to be helpful. I thought they only repaired Tiffany lampshades, but they specialize in stained glass windows. The work they do is amazing, they're both experts in their field. They not only do beautiful work, I found them to be very reasonable. I highly recommend them. In October of 2017, the owner took a deposit of $294 to create some stained glass window corners for us. This was at his stand in Casa de Fruita during the Renaissance Festival. It has been a year and the corners have not shown up nor will he provide a satisfactory explanation as to where they are other than that he is "working" on them. At this point I'm going to have to take legal action to get my money back. My only caution is to do business with him at your own risk. P.S. I have to leave one star just to get this report publish. This is a long review for what was a short and very positive experience at Dragonfly. I bought light fixtures online and they arrived with the glass shattered. Not a surprise but annoying nonetheless. I wanted to keep the fixtures and simply replace the glass, but the glass has a unique textured look that I thought would be too expensive or impossible to find. I shopped online but figured I would end up with more broken glass. So then I hit the big home improvement stores and they only sell clear plate glass for windows. Then I stopped by a glass shop on La Brea and they wanted a fortune for one sheet of glass and $15 per cut piece. Would have cost me more than the fixtures themselves. No thank you. But they did suggest that I visit a stained glass shop because they deal in unique glass. And that's what led me to Dragonfly. I went to Dragonfly with my light fixture and a piece of broken glass to show him what I wanted. He said he can get the exact same glass from his supplier, and he would need a few days to pick up the sheet of glass and cut the pieces. True to his word, he contacted me after a few days to let me know the glass was ready for pick up. I went to his shop and the glass was a perfect match and the price was extremely fair. My light fixtures look great and I'm so thankful to Dragonfly. I hope to work with them again. read more

I had the same experience as John C - I had a window at the shop for over 2 years, for repair/replacement of 1 small piece of glass. I was quoted $50. I checked in from time to time then finally said I needed the window repaired. When I finally picked up the window I was changed $75. When I asked why the increase (without my knowledge or consent) the man said he had to repair 2 pieces of glass. I said the window only had 1 - when I brought it in. I asked him to point out the other piece. He wasn't exactly sure. The man then became hostile - "YOU CALLING ME A LIAR - GET OUT". He was yelling at me and ordering me out the shop. I was shocked. Of course there was no one else in the shop to witness his bad behavior. I paid the $75 and left quickly. I sent emails with pictures to the owner asking for an explanation & $25 refund - no response. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Shop owner did not respond. Its not so much about the money as it is about character and honesty which I think this shop lacks in both. read more

Two years ago, I brought a very specific and challenging project to this shop, and they delivered perfectly. It continues to be enjoyed and appreciated in the front room every day. I rarely have need of stained glass work myself, but they have all the materials and expertise one would need, whether a hobbyist or a patron of the art. Can't recommend them enough! read more
