I stopped in here the other night for cocktails with my boyfriend. Cocktails were reasonably priced and it also looked like they had a good beer menu. I had a Tequila Mockingbird that featured tequila (obviously), strawberry puree, syrup, jalapeño juice and a mint leaf (I probably forgot something). It had a nice kick to it, but not too much, and I really liked it. My boyfriend had a manhattan, and it was probably the first manhattan that I've actually liked. Dram and Draught had an excellent selection of summer cocktails and craft beer and it also has an amazing whiskey selection, there is something for everyone to drink. I was trying to watch the opening ceremony to the Olympics and they did not have tv's, so I didn't stay for long, but still enjoyable. Cool new spot in downtown Raleigh. Chill vibe, great drinks, nice chairs and free snacks. Its a "private/members-only" club so you have to jump through the hoops to get in. The door guy kept this whole process entertaining though. I highly recommend taking a seat in one of the whiskey barrel seats. Extremely cozy. From those spots you have easy access to a variety of snacks including pisachios, dark chocolate and pretzels. Everyone I met and the couple drinks I sipped were all great, but my stay was short. I'll be back. read more

Outside of that had a nice time at Dram and Draught with my boo. Enjoyed the eclectic interior and organized wall of spirits. The drinks are your typical average southern city prices, not too outrageous and the bartender on hand was crafty in a good way with his drink mixing. They boasted clean and modern bathrooms complete with hooks for a ladies purse (bonus!). They really do have the most delicious cocktails in Raleigh. I love that the menu changes seasonally and I'm always hard pressed to pick because they all sound so great. I'm really enjoying all the summer cocktails that have wildflower honey as an ingredient. I don't usually love super sweet cocktails so the honey is perfect and you can really taste the flavor of the honey rather than just a generic sweet/sugar type of flavor. Also love those tiny little reusable metal straws and how beautiful the drinks are! read more

I have wanted to try this place and was not disappointed, even when I had read a review stating there was a jukebox and then learned there was not (I love a juke)! Why was I so enamored? Its an upscale dive. I am of the age where I want to feel like I am somewhere special like a neighborhood bar with no frills AND simultaneously I expect quality service, atmosphere and overall experience. And they had it all: -purse hooks at bar, 'check'! -excellent selection of drinks, 'check'! -prompt, personal service, 'check'! -wonderful cocktails (birds & bees) -Wide bourbon selection (Widow Jane-don't see it very often), 'check'! Love the cool, low-key vibe with garage doors, vinyl chair van seats that are crisp and clean, not dirty or ratty. Lots of thought into the decor without it being stuffy or too hipster. I had to return my wine and server said, "this is awful"...don't ever hesitate to return rotten vino". I will be back to introduce new patrons to D&D. read more

After multiple trips to Dram and Daught, this place has now become my default spot for drinks on a nice day. It's an old automotive shop brilliantly turned into a refreshing bar concept. They have an extensive collection of scotch, whiskies, and bourbon. A few craft brews are also available. The bartenders are very skilled at their craft and I've seen them serve 20 people in my group in under 20 mins. Bravo! Ultimately, it's the opened garage doors with a gorgeous patio facing Hillsborough Street that keep me coming back. The only things I wish they would do more of is have different food trucks and live music. That would just be icing on the cake! read more

Favorite bar in Raleigh!!! The bartender was so so so so knowledgeable. I geeked out for so long talking to him and it made it the best night in the city for me. Finally made it to Dram and Draught and it did not disappoint. I can't speak for the cocktails since I stuck to beer, but they had a decent list of local drafts. The bartenders were welcoming and friendly. The outdoor space is awesome and pet-friendly. They don't have food but you could walk across the street and grab some Char-Grill and grub. Tons of whiskey options, I'd love to come back for some cocktails. It was packed for a weekend afternoon but easy to get a drink and grab a couple of seats outside on the patio. My first visit was short and sweet, I'm looking forward to getting back here again soon. read more

I was happy to see a great whiskey bar open during these difficult times. I recently graduated college and went out to celebrate at a nice bar near campus with friends. We were given a cocktail menu as well as what was on draft. For specific neat whiskey/liquor prices we were recommended to use the QR code/website. After having a great night full of laughs, the bills were distributed and to a shocking surprise, they were much higher than we expected. We were conscious about how much we were willing to spend, carefully picking which drinks we wanted and our 1.5 ounce pours were double the price than what was described on the website. Their only explanation was that it was the impact of COVID. If that is the case, then they need to update their website because that is where people go to choose what they want to order with a contactless experience. Left a metaphorical bad taste in all of our mouths despite having good drinks. read more

If you want a great quality made drink by people who know what they are doing, go here! We stopped in on a Friday night on a rainy holiday weekend for my birthday and we were not disappointed! The bartenders know their stuff! they have a library style bar that goes up to the ceiling where all their specialty whisky, the staff uses a ladder affixed to the bar by rollers to grab your drink of choice. It was here that I finally was able to get my husband to enjoy Champagne, they added a raw sugar cube that had been soaked in bitters. While they do specialize in whisky, they have a solid Chardonnay, make a killer vodka drink with basil, club soda and lime, AND do it all great. We can't wait to return!!! read more

We finally made it back here and it was just as good as the first visit. Great bourbon selection and friendly staff. It was nice enough to sit outside and we found out that they are dog-friendly which is awesome! There were 4-5 dogs hanging out while we were there. We did have a little hiccup. I attempted to use the gift card they gave me after my last visit and I was told it had a zero balance. I explained that couldn't be the case. Jake and Stephanie were great resolving the issue. It was explained that they had some recent GC issues. I really like this place regardless of encountering issues on the first two visits. They are quick to fix the problem and that's what really counts. read more

Dram and Draught has become my "go-to" spot for a casual drink or celebrating something special. At night when the twinkle lights are shining, the doors are all open, and the laughter from the crowd is echoing throughout, there is an energy, a contagious happy, that I am thrilled to be a part of. The cocktails are creative, well priced and we'll made. They have a good selection of wine, great rotating beers on draft. I do wish they had more interesting cider selection but what can you do.
