I found their rep a bit er...I don't know that 'abrasive' is the word but... with somewhat of a 'can't do' attitude. I was also surprised that unlike another company that came out to my apartment for a consultation, their rep never asked me in advance to give them a sense of what I was looking for color/style-wise. When they showed up to my home and we began talking about colors and styles, I was surprised that they did not seem prepared to show me examples of styles. So they had to go on the internet and do a 'search' to look for potential valance styles for example, to show me. In the end, the price they quoted to me was double what two other companies (Smith and Noble, and Horizon Window Treatments) quoted. So I didn't end up using Day Light...

The prices were in the normal for the industry range and the first impression was very good. The first part of the project went well and I was very happy with the large sheers in the living room. At this time we were introduced to the installation team. The second part of the project included sheers for the dining area, master bedroom as well as blackout curtains. All sheers were too long and needed adjustments, which took additional waiting one month time (work room and installation team was very busy) , and in the playroom area sheers were not attached properly (needed correction). Unfortunately when it came to the master bedroom the struggle became real: first when the team was taking measurements they did not realise that in our house the floor/ceiling are not even and did not advise to attach curtains to the wall but attached them to the ceiling, as a result the curtain was not even and didn't look as nice as expected. On the top of it I discovered that the curtain was not properly attached to the rod ( the buttons on the curtains and rods were not matching) , but at this point the team declined to fix it. At This point the tone of our relationship changed: my texts were not answered on time and I was told that I should wait, or I should not send messages late evening, or they will contact the installation team etc. I am not expecting them to fix the blackout curtains attachments, but if would've know what I learned at the beginning of our relationships I definitely would've go somewhere else for the master bedroom project.

Bobby arrived early, so early that we still needed to drop our son off at school. He seemed informed and professional until it as time to send the estimate. He texted my wife who asked him to email. He tells her via text that I agreed to see him here before 9 (when we drop off our son). I picked up my phone to call him and he tried to verbally overwhelm me. In the end, he said he would email us the details. This was followed by a text message after a half hour telling me he will "bow out" of sending the estimate. Business must be great if he can make this type of decision. I suppose this helps our decision making process. Don't call this company if you value your time.
