But though it is probably best known for its Oxford Prep program, its other tutoring services do not lack anything. After being enrolled in Oxford Prep and subsequently being accepted into Oxford Academy, I came back to Pace a few times in high school for help in various subjects such as calculus and English. My math teachers did not simply assist me with my homework but guided me in learning chapters ahead. This helped me to be prepared in advance for quizzes and tests and develop study habits. Whenever I wrote an essay for English class, Tim was always willing to look over multiple drafts of it to see where I could improve it. He also made sure I understood the books I was reading on a deeper level by helping me analyze the literary texts to see the overarching themes. One thing that stands out to me about Pace in comparison to other afterschools/tutoring centers is its atmosphere. I got to know most of the teachers on a name-by-name basis for they all are very friendly. The principal is not only very nice but also very professional and experienced as she has led the academy for over 15 years. Also, because many students at Pace see its benefits and so attend for multiple years, you see many familiar faces, overall adding to the homely vibe. I went to talk to the workers in charge that were on the phones not supervising the kids and he was very disrespectful said that I was lying he said the kids weren't messing with my toddler but I told him there's no way he would k ow bc he was in the corner all the way back on his phone. I was on the playground supervising my 4 year old After an interaction the staff worker in charge of taking care of the kids flat at told me I was lying Beware the academy allows their kids run around without supervision and allows them to bully others I spoke to Sam from the peace academy and he did apologize and said he will talk to him. Older kids should not be allowed to pick on babies.

Yet instead of telling me and my parents that I am better off going to community college and working my way up there, they insisted I keep taking things unnecessary for my needs. A dishonest administration if you ask me. Sort of like that dishonest mechanic if you will who tries to sell you useless things when you're just there for a simple oil change. The director considers herself a devoted Christian but I feel like she has a love for money more than the people she "serves". On another note, I loved the teachers here. They are all very good people and qualified when it comes to the subjects they teach. My test score has improved drastically thanks to these wonderful teachers. If you got the brains and the will power to go to the big schools, go for it. If you're like me and find God's divine calling for you to be in something that doesn't require thousands of dollars being dumped into education, forget this place. I should have known better.

She present herself as capable of supporting struggling students, but when it actually matters, especially in urgent situations like exam preparation, they turn families away. My son is in HONORs PROGRAM so being from private school to public school, and as a busy parent , I ask help from this center to guide my son in his academic however the gap between what is promised and what is delivered is significant. If your child needs consistent, reliable academic support, this is not the place. You may end up spending a substantial amount of money with little to no meaningful results.
