First, we are were allowed about an hour and a half early checkout. This was a wonderful benefit for our family of four. Upon entering, we were blown away. So clean, spacious, and had a homey feel. A big plus was the cool air-conditioning! With it being so hot and humid in the summer the cool air-conditioning was a great relief. We've been to other locations where it has a humid feel on the inside of the unit, and we did not experience this at all. Anytime I would message guest services. They were right on top of it. Very professional and responded essentially immediately. All of our my questions and needs were accommodated. It's stormed pretty bad in the night and our power went off for a while. It got hot with no air , and caused the smoke detector to chirp. I messaged them in the night to see if there was a widespread outage. I immediately got a response first thing in the morning and they sent a technician out to check the smoke detector for us. I think the smoke detector chirping was due to a power outage, because as soon as the electricity came back on, it stopped chirping. I was impressed that they still took the time to look into it. Again, I couldn't highly recommend this location anymore. It provided wonderful memories for our family.

The rental company used to be 360 Blue. They were acquired by Natural Retreats, an acquisition not so good for consumers! For the first time ever, we needed to cancel our reservation. WARNING to anyone booking a rental - the non-refundable booking fee is outrageous and obscene. It's so bad, that I will look for other rental agencies in the future and carefully check their contracts. We are still 100+ days from the intended vacation, so charging big dollar cancellation fees seems ridiculous. Beware!!

When I reached out to express genuine concerns, she chose to portray herself as the victim and dismissed me by saying I was "ranting" instead of addressing the issues at hand. Her attitude was consistently rude and condescending, and I truly regret ever renting from this company. Despite having the home professionally cleaned and detailed, they still claimed that nothing was acceptable. More than half of my deposit was taken without proper justification. Instead of transparency, I was met with threats--Colleen told me that if I pursued small claims, I would lose simply because they "have an attorney." She even made degrading comments that implied I was somehow unhygienic because I have two small children. No parent should ever be spoken to that way. I requested a move-out walkthrough weeks in advance, emailing multiple times, yet I was refused on three separate occasions--despite providing proof. Rather than taking responsibility for their actions, they continually shifted the blame onto me. The entire experience felt misleading, manipulative, and completely lacking in basic respect or integrity. I am sharing this so others can avoid the stress, mistreatment, and emotional toll I went through. Please think twice before renting with this company. No one deserves to be robbed of their deposit or treated with such disregard and disrespect.

Save the headache…read more This guy is very unprofessional I'm writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the cancellation of my Destin vacation rental reservation through Airbnb, which occurred only about a month before our scheduled trip. I had booked two rooms for a group trip involving multiple adults and children, and this last-minute cancellation has created a major inconvenience for everyone involved. As most people know, finding accommodations in Destin this close to summer travel dates is extremely difficult and significantly more expensive. We are now being forced to scramble to find another place that can accommodate our entire group, all because of a cancellation that could have been handled much more professionally. What made the situation even worse was the response I received when I called to ask about the cancellation. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, Brad laughed and made comments implying that the rate I booked was "too cheap" and that there was "no way" the property was worth that amount. I booked the property directly through Airbnb at the listed rate, so any pricing issue should have been addressed internally -- not taken out on paying customers after reservations were already confirmed. After looking through the Google reviews for Emerald Coast Rental Vacation Homes, I noticed multiple other customers describing very similar experiences involving sudden cancellations and poor communication. That raises serious concerns about how business is being conducted. I also want to address something in advance: I've seen responses to negative reviews where claims are made that the reviewer "never booked" with the company. That is absolutely not the case here. I did book these properties through Airbnb, and I have screenshots, confirmations, and documentation to fully support everything stated in this review. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Canceling on families and groups shortly before their vacations puts people in difficult financial and logistical situations, especially when prices increase dramatically afterward. I hope future customers are made aware of these recurring issues before trusting this company with important travel plans.

They have ignored our demand letter and filing a complaint with the local governing body! The rats had made a home under the bed; they were burrowing in a brown tarp under the bed!! Do not rent The Back Porch! It's in deplorable condition! The owners of the property don't care either! I would sue them but it would cost me more in legal fees than my hotel stay and they know that!
