Despite expressing discomfort and obvious anxiety stemming from the intense physical pain of my initial procedure with Rachel (which makes me sweat just thinking back to it), both Rachel and Rhonda flat-out refused to let me switch providers for the second treatment. I finally received approval to switch and booked the appointment, only to be told a month later it was being canceled if not done with Rachel. Their rigidity and lack of empathy was appalling. Let me preface this by sharing that I have a high pain tolerance -- I've fractured my hip during military service and have tolerated Opus treatments in the past without flinching; yet, the pain of this procedure was infinitely worse than both of those combined or any surgery I've had. It felt like someone was literally burning off my armpits for over an hour. Between that and the endless injections that wound up being futile, I have never cursed so much in my entire life in one sitting. Nothing Rachel attempted helped with pain management, and my clear distress was minimized and ignored after I recounted the experience to her and the staff. If both Rachel and Rhonda are supposedly qualified to perform this procedure, why refuse my simple, reasonable request to switch providers for the second round of treatments? Had I known they would be so inflexible and dismissive of my well-being, I never would have chosen Oak Dermatology. Now, I have to spend several thousand more dollars to do the procedure anew elsewhere, since the discounted second treatment is non-transferable wherever I go next. This clinic clearly prioritizes their own egos and reputations over patient comfort and care. It's incredibly disappointing to see this kind of arrogance in a medical setting. While Dr. Hsu and Stephanie are genuinely wonderful, competent, and caring professionals, my overall impression of the practice is deeply negative after this. I was really looking forward to this Swedish massage to relieve my tension but instead I was more stressed after coming here. During my service, I had to ask for more pressure 3x, the flow of the massage was odd and she didn't even massage my neck/shoulders where I had the most tension until I asked her to. After my massage was done, I spoke with Dr Rita and she stated that she also used gentle touch technique during my service which again, was not the service I requested for. She also said that she hadn't given a massage in 3 years. Since I'm not a very confrontational person, I left the salon without mentioning how terrible my experience was but as the day went on, I decided to reach out to her. I then sent Dr. Rita a text message to give her a chance to fix the problem before giving her a bad review but instead, she was unprofessional and rude. She also stated that I said I had lymphedema in my leg which is why she gave me a lymphatic drainage instead even though I never said that nor did I have lymphedema. She stated that the lymphatic drainage is higher of value but I don't think that's fair for her to just switch my service without asking me first. She also mentioned they only receive $25 for the purchased Groupon, which should not affect the service provided. I don't write negative reviews lightly, nor do I write a lot of negative reviews which is why I felt it was important to share my experience. I sure won't be coming here again. First off the vibe was just really off , however I chose this practice because they were advertising a neurotoxin special, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing from beginning to end. I went to see Chennel on June 24th 2026. from the initial consultation, the pricing wasn't as straightforward as it appeared online. Once I arrived, the cost kept increasing based on additional explanations and calculations that were different from what I expected from the advertised pricing, as well as Chennel ''encouraging'c me to purchase xeomin instead of Dysport. The biggest issue, however, was my follow-up appointment. I originally had a Wednesday afternoon follow-up scheduled 2 weeks later, but I had to reschedule it due to work so I had to make appointments later in the day. We rescheduled my followup for Friday at 4:30 PM , now mind you, because I have OCD I am extremely meticulous on dates and times I HAVE to be especially with work, and I always repeat myself over and over when making appointment dates and times ,several times before ending a phone call to make sure everything is correct. I specifically confirmed "Friday at 4:30," multiple times. Currently as I write this review their office says Friday 9 a.m to 5 p.m., however she said they don't work later on Fridays. When I arrived that Friday, the office was locked, no one answered the phone, and no one was there. After calling the following day, I called and spoke with Deeana who was very nice, and we confirmed for me to come in at 12:40 PM on Saturday since Chennel didn't show up on Friday. What happened during that visit was the most upsetting part of the experience. Instead of acknowledging that a scheduling mistake may have occurred, I was repeatedly told by Chennel that she would "never" schedule a Friday evening appointment because the office is closed and she doesn't work nights. This wasn't said once--it was repeated over and over while shaking her head, despite my explaining that I had confirmed the appointment multiple times during the scheduling call. Being repeatedly told, in essence, that my recollection couldn't be correct was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. Rather than feeling heard, I felt dismissed and that an owner had to argue with me at her own practice, when I say literally argue shaking her head angry it was extremely uncomfortable. By the end of the conversation I was visibly distressed, and instead of working toward a resolution, the discussion continued to focus on why the appointment supposedly could not have been made. I was very unhappy with my results. During my initial appointment, I was told to come back in two weeks and that if there was still any movement, she would make adjustments. That was presented to me as the purpose of the follow-up. Based on my prior experiences receiving neurotoxin treatments elsewhere, that's also been the purpose of two-week follow-up appointments. However, when I returned, I was told that any additional units would be an extra charge. That was never explained during my initial appointment, so I was surprised to learn there would be an additional cost The treatment did not provide the improvement I had hoped for, which added to my disappointment. It's pretty obvious her and I won't want each other to be returning, I will stick to the plastic surgeons office I trust while doing accurate follow ups. Also the office can respond below and say I made this up about the date and time, but don't buy it, let her argue and make up what she wants. You will be happy elsewhere
