I haven't even left the parking lot and I had to sit in my car and write this review! Anh was such an amazing stylist. She was super kind and professional but made you feel at home. She gave me one of, if not the best, haircuts I've had in a while. She even gave me a complimentary beard trim, hair wash, and hot towel on my face! I will definitely be coming back. I love dream salon!! I've been a regular here for the past 10ish years and I'd never trust any other salon to do my hair!! Ann and her stylists are the best! They always do my hair super well with really affordable prices! My friends always ask me where I get my hair done, and I always recommend this place to them. They're super professional with their services. Balayage is super hard to do, but they always do it so well so that it blends into my hair! I have super thick, jet black Asian hair - and they're really good at being able to work with this hair! All the stylists are also really sweet! Would highly recommend! After being out of the area for a wile, I had an appointment with Tina for a color and cut. I showed her an inspiration pic of the color and haircut that I wanted. Unfortunately she insisted that I go lighter because according to her it would look funny and not good on me. She was actually scolding me, snappy and condescending that I would challenge her. I SHOULD have insisted but instead trusted her professional judgment. I wish I would have insisted on the darker color because I am unhappy. My haircut also missed the mark. The woman in the chair next to me was getting highlights by Katrina and asked for a highlight in a certain spot and she got rudely snapped at too so I think it's safe to say it's a pattern. Amazing salon experience every time. They offer efficient and quality hair cuts, spot on color, great hair care tips, and amazing hair washes. They know hair and will meet any request. Staff has increased to offer the customer extra attention during processing or transitions. The new young staff is sweet attentive and hardworking, adding an extra personal touch. While there are new stylists I haven't tried, Anne and Danielle continue to offer high level services over the years and I've never been disappointed. Try this salon- they do their best to accommodate diverse schedules and have taken walk ins while I've been there. It's a great location with plenty of parking and right off the freeway. I am very unhappy with the haircut. We asked for long layers but they initially did a straight cut. When we again asked for layers they did really short and uneven layers which look nothing like long layers. I think the back to back appointments made them rush and ruined by daughter's haircut. Great salon! Excellent stylists, clean and following Covid precautions. Tina gave me my first haircut in months and it looks great. She cut almost three inches off and my hair feels so healthy! I was so happy that I booked appointments for my husband and both our sons. Appointments are easily arranged through texts. I really wanted to like this place because of it's convenient location and the high marks from other reviewers. They advertise champagne service at beer prices, but I think you get what you pay for. I went for a trim. The stylist was friendly, but didn't spend a lot of time on my cut. Normally at other salons, the stylist offers a hand mirror so that you can look at the back once they are done. She didn't do this and I didn't think it was a big deal at the time. Once I got home though, I realized that one side is longer than the other. read more

The place is dirty. The chair I was made to sit on still had hair from the previous person. I asked them to clean and they did a below par job. The comb and brush also had other people's hair, when I asked them to clean it they told me oh we wash everyone's hair when they get here so it's ok. What if someone has lice and dandruff? If you want to get a permanent hair straightening DO NOT come here. I recently moved to the area and was in the search of a new salon. I have been doing permanent hair straightening for the past 7 years. After spending $400 for the treatment in Dream Salon, I was excited to see the results. But it didn't work. My hair looked worst than before. I called the salon and the Manager apologized saying the person who had done my hair was not the most experienced and asked if I would come to get it fixed. After spending so much money, I agreed. I just wasn't sure why if they knew the employee was not experienced in this treatment, let her do it. The Manager was there with me for 5 minutes, until the same employee who she had mentioned was not the best, took over, but was "being supervised" by her. The Manager apologized several times saying they were there to make "my Dreams come true" just like the name of the salon. But guess what? It still didn't work and they didn't even offer a refund. So save your time and money, and go to a different salon if you a looking for a permanent hair straightening. read more

Their hair turned out well but it took 2 1/2 hours just to get their hair cut even with an appt. My stylist Tina was friendly, on time and attentive to what I wanted with my hair. I've been coming to Dream Salon for about 2-3 years now. I used to always get my hair cut in Milpitas but after I moved to this side of the Bay, it was just too far to drive down each time AND never have an appointment slot because that salon didn't take appointments. I wanted someone who was familiar with Asian hair to cut my hair and so I found Dream Salon on Yelp. It was also located conveniently near my house and my nail salon (right next door), so sign me up! The first time I went I got a cut and color (Balayage) from Zula, who doesn't work there anymore. But I loved it! So I knew I would keep going back. I kept holding off re-coloring my hair in case I got pregnant. Instead I started going to Anh (the owner) for haircuts! She really knows Asian hair and I love when she cuts my hair because she will also suggest ways to style it at home that makes it easier on me. When I ask for a length, she never goes shorter than expected which is often what I find happens. She really respects that information you give her! And the latest visit I decided to get my hair colored. At first I wanted an ash blonde but since my hair is so dark (pretty much my virgin hair now) she gave me recommendations on how we could do it so it would look better and eventually we could get to ash blonde if I wanted. Ahn spent about 3 hours coloring my hair and doing a meticulous job. While I was waiting for the color treatment, she grabbed me magazines and snacks and water. I love my new balayage hair so much and will be going back to her next year for touch ups or another cut! I had a few friends ask me where I got my hair colored and I recommended Dream Salon to them! Unless you already have a basic straight haircut and you're getting a trim don't come here. I have naturally wavy, a little bit curly hair and micro bangs. I usually do my hair by myself. I do my own trims, color, bangs etc. but i wanted to get layers and just even out the back of my hair. As soon as I walked in there I felt judged and I knew this wasn't gonna be what I wanted. Oh my fault for coming to a cheap place to get it done. I specifically asked if she knew how to style naturally curly hair and she said yes do I said that i want layers so i could have more volume at the top because I wanna be able to wear my natural hair and not use heat. Immediately she torches my hair with the blow drier and does what she wants. Again ik it's probably my fault for trusting that a cheap salon could do it but I wouldn't reccomend for any type of cut other than basic straight hairstyles read more
