Pros: Cheap, quick, efficient! Con: Took a star off because I went in today and Tina (my stylist) burned my ear. To be fair, I think she was in a hurry because she had another client and she put aloe vera on it after, but I just checked and it left my ear with a small burn. Just be careful when you come that they're not fitting you in to try and get as many customers as possible because they probably are rushing and aren't putting as much thought into your cut. read more

My neighbor recommended me this place and its our (me n my daughter) absolute favorite. Ann and her stylists are very good indeed. First and foremost, they listen. They exactly cut the length you ask for and take time and give attention to understand the style you want. Honestly not sure if this salon is still even open. I had time to kill today and wanted to do a walk-in hair cut. I tried calling after 9am (according to their business hours on Yelp) to check if they'll accept walk-ins and no one answered so I thought I would drive over since it was just a 5 minute drive. When I showed up at 9:30am all the lights were off but the business hours sign outside stated they are open Monday through Friday at 9am and there was no other signage explaining any changes to the business hours or why they were closed today. I tried to call the business number listed at the door to see if maybe I needed to set up an appointment or something but the number rings to the phone inside the salon, which again was empty and closed. This was disappointing since there's no way for a customer to know if and when the salon would be open if the business hours aren't accurate. read more

Worst salon Ever. We went there for perm hairstyle. Before going, we called her to check if we need to prepare anything before coming. She didn't mention anything. After we went, she started saying we should t have applied any cream on hair before coming. I had applied hair cream 3 days prior to going. She charged $140 and the perm became straight the 2nd day itself. I tried telling her through out the process that she is speeding the process which might not create curl but she kept on telling she knows it. Another worst thing about this place is, they will talk nice to the customer on their face and once they leave, they talk ill about that customer to the new customers which is worst. I was in desperate need of a haircut- my ends were so dry and discolored from an old balayage job! Totally my fault for not keeping up with the upkeep. I have a lot of hair, but it's very fine/thin, difficult to comb (especially fresh out the shower), straight, is easily tangled, and lacks volume--seriously pin straight and refuses to hold a curl for longer than 2 hours (even with a poop load of hairspray). I was tired of my hair and needed a change. So, I found this place on Yelp, and based on the reviews, decided to give them a try. I messaged them on Yelp but didn't hear back (until after my haircut), but I was so sick of my hair, and just decided to walk in. They greeted me as soon as I came in, and waited about 15-20 minutes before Ann took me back. She shampooed and deep conditioned my hair, then we talked about what I wanted. To be honest, I wasn't really sure --but I know I had to chop my ends off! Ann suggested that we go with layers to give my hair some volume. I wanted to keep my hair long, so we agreed that we'd cut 2.5-3 inches off. I was a little nervous going with layers.. In the past, when I asked for layers at other salons, I've ended up with choppy mullet hair (yikes). BUT I trusted Ann because she really sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I'm so glad I went with her recommendations! My hair is now healthy looking, easier to manage, and has more body--it's no longer a struggle to brush in the mornings, which is a total win. I'll definitely return for my next hair cut, and maybe even get a balayage (baby steps)! read more

Beware of this place! I went for my haircut before going for my vacation hoping that I will not have to worry about styling my hair for the next day but guess what all I went through when I came to the DREAM SALON in the morning @ 10:30am (someone already called me the evening before to confirm my appointment for 10:30 am - 11:30am for both me and my daughter to be done at the same time which I made an appointment 2weeks before. First the lady at the counter said that I am late so they already accepted someone else in my place. Wait what?? Why when I have an appointments for me and my daughter. Am I an idiot , showing up at a salon with two of us , Friday before the holidays? They almost made me cry of how rude they were to me and how they didn't want to take us for the haircut because there was some confusion on their appointment book. THEY OVERBOOK ALL THE TIME BECAUSE MANY PROPLE WERE WAITING. Then I waited 15 min and a stylist took me for a quick 35 min haircut including wash , Style everything. I asked her to cut no more than an inch but she cut almost 2.5 inches and got me out of the chair so my daughter can get a haircut next. Yes, the other stylists were taking the walk-ins and didn't take us when we already had an appointment. So I waited while my daughter also got her haircut from the same stylist. I never got such a disaster haircut with the worst experience ever in my life. After 4 days when I washed my hair, I realized that the stylist didn't even blend my long layers. My layers look like a beginner learning student gave me a haircut with vertical straight layers. I hate that my hairs look like thid because of this crappy place that unfortunately I decided to go to. I will never go there again ever and I want to warn you all to go there at your own risk of spoiling your day, your time , your money and your hairs. Best of luck Dream salon. Terrible booking experience. I booked a haircut through ClassPass and they contacted me saying the slot is not available. They only had small windows that they could switch to at really inconvenient times. Huge hassle trying to get it refunded through ClassPass. I think it takes a minute to realize if you are going to have a good experience at a restaurant, spa or hair salon. That's what happened. Within the first minute I realized I was in good hands and was gonna get a great haircut. I called today morning and Dream salon was able to schedule me in at 5 today. Tina spoke to me about what kind of haircuts I wanted and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. I have thick and big poofy curly hair. It's a task to even brush my hair. Tina is excellent and has experience with hair like mine. She understood my needs and got right to work to make my hair feel amazing. She washed my hair (it was like a mini massage :) ) and proceeded to cut in layers to sober down my hair. I'm trying to grow my hair. Tina was mindful of that fact and showed me how much she was going to cut. She kept to her promise and didn't go nuts with the scissors (unlike most hairdressers I know). I have been going to Ann for years for long hair and short hair cuts as well as foil highlights. She is absolutely amazing and her technical skills on par with the best. Let me explain a bit more what I mean by technical skills. I am a European and come from a country where you have to go through 2-3 years of training before you are allowed to cut any hair as a professional. No matter where I went all hair cutters knew how to hold scissors and cut your hair - not here in the US unfortunately. I have been already at very expensive salons in NYC and SF where "artists" created a "new you" but when you took the champagne, the flattering, and artist chattering aside and really just looked at the basic skills they often lacked - not so with Ann! She knows 100% what she is doing and even more important does what I ask her to do. When I came once to her a few years back wanting to cut my hair shorter I held my breath wondering whether she is a "one trick pony" but she again exceeded all my expectations. Such a great experience with Ann! I was looking for someone to do a balayage + cut while I was home for the holidays, since most stylists in Boston (where I live) are pretty overpriced and don't know how to handle Asian hair. Even as a new client I was able to book a next-day appointment, and Ann got right to work. After looking at a picture of the blonde color I was hoping for, she thoughtfully set my expectations for how my balayage might turn out - since I have such thick, dark hair, it was unlikely to get as light as the pictures without breaking. I really appreciated her taking the time to walk me through the cost/benefit of trying to really lighten my previously-untreated hair. Application and processing took about 1.5 hours total, then another 30 min to cut, blow-dry, and style. Again, she was careful to show me what the balayage looked like with my hair straight (which is how I normally wear it), to demonstrate it was well-blended, before curling it. So happy with how it came out!! All for a very reasonable $145 balayage + $35 cut. I had an ombre job done ~3 years ago which I liked at the time, but this looks so much better in my opinion. They overbook themselves causing delays (waited an hour) with an appointment made and rushed on my hair - they never did this before but my appointment today left me disappointed and frustrated as the customer service was not as great as it was. When I moved here someone mentioned it was a nice place and I finally made an appointment after my first stylist moved to SoCal. I was lucky enough to get booked with Tina who is an incredibly talented colorist and stylist. I didn't have to tell her much about what I wanted, she just "got it". I trust her fully with my hair, I tend to just want to read quietly while she does what she does best - I highly recommend. I leave there looking and feeling great! They also have lay down wash bowls, which support your whole body - it's like a massage table where you can rest your feet up. It's great when toning since it reduces strain on your neck. read more

Not only was she friendly but she was very attentive to what I wanted. She kept checking in with me to see if I liked the length of my haircut and had no problem with doing exactly what I wanted. After I left I even went back inside because I decided I wanted my bangs a little shorter. The manager did a quick trim with no problem and was super nice about it. (I don't recommend doing that though, because I was embarrassed for going back inside after I paid and went into my car) But, my point is that I left really satisfied with my hair and their amazing customer service. read more

I was looking for a new hair salon in my area that was affordable but didn't sacrifice quality and attention to detail. I had read other great Yelp reviews about Dream Salon that stated just that. I called on a Friday morning to get a quote for the cut and ombre color I wanted. The woman on the phone suggested I come in person so they could more accurately assess my hair. I came in later that day and spoke with Ann, who quoted my cut ($35) and blonde ombre color ($120) would be $155 total. This was by far a lower price than any other salon in the area had given me, so I booked an appointment for that following Tuesday afternoon. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was given water and snacks while I waited. Ann had remembered what I wanted from my first visit, but still took the time before we got started to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. The whole process took about 2.5-3 hours, starting with the blonde ombre/balayage application. It was interesting to watch the technique Ann used and I appreciated the extra time she took to make sure all the strands were blended well. After waiting for the color to develop she brought me to the sink where she rinsed out the color and applied the toner. After that developed, she applied shampoo and conditioner and spent at least 15 minutes massaging my head! It felt wonderful after my long work day and the conditioner made my frizzy hair much softer than usual. The final steps were a trim and blow dry. Ann made sure to not cut off too much as I wanted to keep the length, but still gave my hair body with layers and removed the split ends. She even spent a few extra minutes at the end curling my hair so I could leave the salon feeling awesome with my new 'do. I had a great experience and will definitely keep Dream Salon as my go-to hair salon in the future. Ann listened to what I wanted done and never took any shortcuts, and I left super satisfied and happy. I went to Dream Salon because I desperately needed my hair highlighted and cut after many months of SIP. My regular salon was closed due to SIP in my county. Tina did an absolutely wonderful job. She understood what I was asking for, even though a mask was covering such a large portion of my face and my hair was much darker than it normally is because so much of my natural color had grown out. I have been coming to Dream Salon for probably 4-5 years now and absolutely love it! I get my haircut and balayage with Danielle several times a year. I honestly look forward to my appointments because I love chatting with her and she consistently delivers what I'm looking for. I always leave with pretty hair and a smile on my face! The other employees are so friendly too. Today was my first time coming here since before the pandemic and I will say I felt very safe. All salon employees and customers were wearing masks, they take your temperature when you come in, and there is hand sanitizer at the entrance. I've only seen Ann, the owner, but the whole place was busy when I came by Saturday. They were very friendly, and I told them my situation and they broke down the costs for me so I could know what I was getting and what I was paying for!
