I absolutely love this place. I haven't had it since last year and wow, did I miss it. So happy to see nothing has changed. I typically order from the specials menu because there is always something new to try and for $10 you can't go wrong. I love wraps and this place makes great ones, plus they give you a huge side with it. Most deli's will charge you $8-$9 for a wrap. It won't be as good and you don't get a 1/2 lb of potato or pasta salad with it! Today I had a wrap with honey turkey, swiss cheese, bacon, cucumbers and avocado. It was amazing! The potato and pasta salads here are some of my favorites ever. They taste exactly the same as they did 4 years ago when I wrote my original review. DreamStreet is absolutely amazing! My job moved its location to Hicksville and a coworker discovered this place on a whim. Absolutely amazing customer service and delicious food. Every order has always been correct and the portions are huge. There is no need to figure who ordered what because each order is placed in a box with sticker saying what it is. The food is always packed neatly with utensils and napkins included. I haven't tried everything but what I did try was amazing. The Old Bay Grilled Chicken Club is my favorite. The sides are equally amazing. I usually share my side with a coworker because they give you so much. Garlic parmesan potatoes are yummy! My job frequently caters from here for our parties and they are always consistent. I highly recommend DreamStreet. Ordering from here is always the highlight of our day. Yes, it's that good! I was browsing grub hub for new places to eat I was tired of the basic Chinese and Italian. I came upon this place and was drawn to the name who doesn't think dream street seems like an 80s movie romantic comedy about the guy who gets the girl after an 80 minute wild Goose chase... I called up and asked if they'd deliver to my office in Hicksville and the lady who picked up was more than sweet. I can pickup personality in a heartbeat being in retail for 11 years I am accustomed to it! She was sweet and courteous and very friendly answering all my questions so I called back right away to place an order. She made me feel like I'd been a regular there for years in just a minute which is not easy to achieve with me being on the other side of the phone. Even though online the delivery time showed it was closed I still got my food in less than an hour. The boxes were adorable and the presentation itself won me over .. Each box labeled with a sticker and these sandwiches I can't even fully put into the words how good they are! The crispy shrimp grilled cheese sandwich was everything you'd hope it could be with juicy tomatoes, three different cheeses on amazing Texas toast it legitimately melted in my mouth ! The Mac and cheese is definitely a favorite now with the perfect amount of flavor ... And the Brooklyn double holy moly ! We have lunch tomorrow is all I can say about how generous the portions were. I also ordered two freshly squeezed lemonade a which I was concerned about knowing my own skills I'd lose half the cup before getting to my destination ... I have also experienced poorly executed beverage delivery from other restaurants but when this extra cool delivery dude delivered my food he had it all strategically placed and everything was perfect which is so great because as an avid foodie I experience many woes hahaha but this place is a keeper !!! I used to order from this place all the time through Seamless when I worked at my old job. We ordered at least 2-3 times a week. Such great food the specials were always delicious, I never got anything there that I didn't love!! The best things I've gotten there that are on the regular menu are: the Old Bay Chicken Sandwich, the Chicken Marsala Flatbread Pizza, Build your own salad and Build your own burger!! I love their steak fries and the fried smashed potatoes are amazing, also love the baby potatoes too lol!! The garlic aioli I get on literally everything!! My favorite specials that they did was this giant burger I got with a chicken patty in between omg biggest thing i've ever seen I practically had to unhinge my jaw but it was so delicious!! It came with diner fries which are yummy too!! I also loved this chinese chicken stir fry with spring rolls they had it as a daily special one day and omg was it good!! This is my go-to lunch spot WEEKLY! Seriously, no matter what you choose, you can't go wrong! Everything from the 'Dream Bowls,' to the chicken fingers and diner fries, to the bacon-grilled cheese sandwiches, beef patties, and ravioli with garlic bread (which I devoured this week) are ALL GOOD! Dream Street was more of a nightmare. I see others wrote good reviews however, I don't quite understand why they treated me this way. I reached out to them to plan a catering event for my son and his fiancé. First, they asked I'd pay in full, when I asked why they said so they could purchase the food. I'd never heard of such a thing when you have a business. I was hesitant but Joe said it would be best for him as well so he wouldn't have to pay twice to take my credit. That should have been the red flag right there. Yet he insisted I'd trust him, and I did. Joe was quite the smooth talker. I never received the itemized invoice as promised after providing my email to them. Afterwards, I'd reach out via email about the invoice and a question about the salad dressing. I was scolded as the answer provided was jaw dropping. Danielle's answer to me was "you should have picked the dressing when you ordered the salad!" I immediately called and she tried to dismiss it, speaking over me every step of the way she was relentless and I was afraid to keep at it because we were but a week away and you never want to mess with people when they're handling your food. Deep down I felt I'd made a mistake in paying before hand and it proved to be true. The invoice provided had hidden fees when I tallied, it did not add up. The food was plain awful, certainly not fresh and tasteless. Also, the presentation they promised was not delivered.. My sons fiancé was upset with me. I was so humiliated and embarrassed for using Dream Street Caterers. I don't believe in hurting anyone but these people were callous and mean. They worked as a team and took advantage of my good nature. My son reached out to complain after the event and Joe refused to back down and actually told my son "they had a good laugh at his mothers expense" because I tried unsuccessfully to complain. Therefore, I feel I should alert others because I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else. However, I do believe in Karma and as the saying goes "every dog has his day." read more
