Please read you will be so happy you did:)…read more Let me start off by saying this was the best decision we have ever made. I was referred by a friend and after speaking to her I was convinced dr woods could help us and made an apt and they got me in the next week. Keep In mind it is a process and you have to be patient but I promise it will pay off. I'm the most impatient person so it was difficult for me with all the ups and downs but I'm so glad I fought through because now we are pregnant on our first try. I definitely recommend doing pgs (the genetic testing) it is well worth it! It allowed us to put in the only embryo that was normal it was heart breaking to find out we only had but one but dr woods is that amazing that with the slim odds we had we are pregnant with our baby boy:)) I feel like I want everyone to know this is the best place if a doctor tells you that your a hopeless case don't give up before talking to dr woods first i promise you will not be disappointed! And the staff is amazing as well especially MJ thank you so much for all the support you have given us,you guys truly are the best and we will be back for a girl unless it happens naturally I've heard that it could after ivf!! My last piece of advice is don't wait too long we have been trying for 3 years and I wish we did it when I was 28 my eggs were better quality then but better late than never. I'm willing to share our experience so don't hesitate to message me any questions!!

We were then given THREE DAYS notice as a final deadline to transfer out our tissue. Our embryos were held hostage with a last minute transfer out fee of $1200 which had doubled without us ever having been alerted. Convenient for if you are closing a location without proper notice. No one would write us back so we couldn't even get an itemized receipt or timely help getting our tissue out by their last minute deadline. They didn't have our freeze date recorded correctly. I would not trust this facility. It was a truly horrific experience. This is the kind of disorganization and cheap money-grubbing corner-cutting that leads to life changing mistakes.

From the beginning he wanted to know what I needed and wanted, what I was living with on a daily basis, how it was effecting my life, and then he gave his medical opinion on what he felt would benefit me the most. For that alone I was very thankful as most doctors I've encountered just want to tell you what they think, without taking you into question, and what you would like. Over the course of five months he listened and took care to make sure he addressed each issue. His nurse Belinda was wonderful, kind and warm each time I saw her, which during COVID was greatly appreciated. Dr khan performed my surgery in July and I am SO thankful to him, his knowledge, and his team, because of them I'm no longer living with the conditions I was for so long. You want a doctor who will listen to you, advise you, and then collaborate with you on what would be best for YOU, you've found the right doctor. And just to add, the hospital staff at scripps La Jolla was AMAZING. They are some of the sweetest and most genuine people in the medical field I have ever met.

I should have filed a complaint at the time -- both for the unreasonable bill and for her inability to perform the biopsy properly, as well as for the pain, stress, and lack of trust she caused during the visit by rushing through the appointment and leaving my questions and concerns unanswered.

I went to Dr. Kazanegra a while ago because I had this fibroid on my uterus (yes, we're getting really personal really quickly). I had named the fibroid "Kuato" years ago, in honor of a character from the movie Total Recall; look it up, if you're curious. It's worth a Google cuz it's just that weird. Anyhow, I went to consult with Dr. Kazanegra about options because I didn't know if I should get rid of the fibroid or what. She immediately told me that the option was a hysterectomy, which felt pretty extreme. Then she told me that I could get these slow-release injections that were designed to shrink the fibroid. She made it sound very simple and easy, especially in comparison to a hysterectomy. I feel like she wanted me to do the shots. And I trusted her without doing much research. Why? Because I trust doctors, which was my mistake with her. She had told me that I might get some hot flashes, but I didn't pay much attention because it didn't seem like a big deal. What she DIDN'T tell me was that these Lupron shots were going to start fricking menopause. HELLO?! REALLY?! That's kind of important and is a major life event - so much so that when you talk to a woman about THE CHANGE they know what you're talking about. So, yeah, surprise for me! Is she getting kickbacks from the makers of Lupron or what? Maybe she's from Planet Lupron? Whatever the reason, I'm still pissed as hell! And I only figured out what was going on with my body because I had been trying to lose weight and was doing Weight Watchers and sticking to everything very closely; I was exercising hard-core and still not losing weight. I worked with a Weight Watchers coach for months and we couldn't figure out what was wrong and why I was gaining all this weight specifically in my belly. Then my WW coach said, "Are you on any medication?" And I went OH SHIT IT'S THOSE STUPID SHOTS! Mystery solved. That's when I discovered the term "menopause middle," as in the layer of 100% grade A flab that has surrounded my gut like I'm Jupiter and now have my own set of rings. FML. Um, hello, Doc, did you not notice by looking at my chart or at me that I needed to lose weight in the first place?! You think that maybe you might consider that when you recommend a treatment? Oy. Don't go to Dr. Kazanegra. Go to Dr. McMullen or Dr. Pattengill, both Kaiser ob/gyns who don't suck. And, yes, I'm still trying to lose the original 20 PLUS the shit I put on. (Hint for Dr. K: Does your patient seem like she might ALREADY like to vent on Yelp? DON'T INDUCE MENOPAUSE. YOU WILL BE IN FOR A EXPONENTIALLY BAD REVIEW - AND ONE THAT WILL MAKE IT TO YOUR EMPLOYER, ONCE I FIGURE OUT THEIR DANTE-ESQUE WEBSITE!) Ugh.

My…read moreappointment was 9:10am on a Saturday and I was out by 10:15am, and I think it went so fast because I booked as early after the place opened as I could. The office is located on the 2nd floor by the stairs, and no, there were no protestors. The care quality was FANTASTIC. I came with my man and the front desk had him wait in the lounge behind us so I could fill out paperwork safely and privately. Though I didn't need it, it's great for those who do! Here's the process for everyone as nervous as I was: About 20 minutes after paperwork I was brought to the nurse office. Patients only. They gave me a cup to pee in, took my weight, and began to prick my finger for optional STD testing. If you're on a budget or want your healthcare private from your family, I suggest looking up their Family Pact insurance so you can get your services reduced or even free if eligible! The nurse then left, I undressed completely on my lower half, and Dr. Chew and a lovely shy nurse assistant came into my room. I was vaginally swabbed for more STD tests and got those negative results in about 4 days later. They were VERY kind to how nervous I was. My tip is wear a shirt that's long on you so you still feel modest since you do have to get up to sign more consent forms. This, however, is ALL in your private room. Only 2 people will see you undressed. 1st she will put something metal in you and measure your cervix. This feels like an uncomfortable pressure and then a few pinches, but you CAN do it!! Yes, getting the IUD put in does feel uncomfortable. However, the nurse will offer you hot pads to put over your belly to help soothe the pain. If you wear loose clothing, take 400-600mg of ibuprofen 30-60 minutes before your estimated insertion, and focus on the ceiling, it IS bearable. All I did was clutch my shirt, deep breaths, and stood up slowly after to combat the dizziness. I cramped for the next few hours and the first night SUCKED, but by the next morning I was my usual self: just a little bit crampy and spotting. Good luck!
