I got my lashes lifted and I love it! They look so much longer and have a nice curl to them. These are perfect if you want something more natural and don't want to keep up with the maintenance of getting extensions. I found Claudia through Groupon for 2 Brazillian waxes. I found it easier to schedule appointments online through her website as it gives you the option to see which dates and times are available and would work for you. It's been about 2 months since my last wax, and she was nice enough to exfoliate my pubic area first before waxing. And as any other waxing experience, there was some pain but nothing unbearable. We had good conversations and she's straightforward (which may come across as being rude to some LOL) especially when she's giving me tips on how to better take care of my skin and how often I should get waxed because my hair grows pretty fast. Why have a groupon deal if she gets mad when you try to use it? Claudia did an okay job overall but her pragmatic skills were next to none! Came in to get classic lash set and the first thing she said was " you need the volume, because you don't have much lashes, it will have gaps". Totally would have understood if she explained it nicely without being so rude. She may be upset that some people come in using Groupon ( but if that is how new customer finds her, why not give them the service they want so they come back?). I was trying to tell her what I wanted but she kept interrupting and saying " look at my work and pick one you like?" Or " you don't know what you want?". I felt rushed and offended because she didn't take time to listen and work out a plan with me. While I was getting my lashes done, I mentioned how I review beauty related things on Instagram and YouTube sometimes. She kept making rude comments saying " only young little girls do that". She was just very rude overall. Prior to getting the lashes done, I inquired about the lash serum and she just said " oh, I talk about that when everything is done". When I saw an awesome deal on Groupon for Dream Skin and Lashes I was super excited especially with their great reviews of 4.5 stars!! What can go wrong?!?!? The expectation was set. I called to make an appointment and mentioned I purchased a deal off Groupon- immediately the owner's tone changed like she didn't want to be bothered and wanted to know when I purchased it. It was odd but I figured she was having a bad day. I arrived at my appointment and was greeted with a 'meh' (all good, not everyone is bubbly and all smiles) however where was the warm welcome of a new client and potential long-term client?? I thought... she might be having another bad day?? She didn't do much to help me feel comfortable and welcomed into her space other than saying.. "take off your shoes and lay here." Although her studio looked organized, there were no covers on the "bed" or any sort of towel that could be changed after each client so I questioned the cleanliness. I also didn't see her wear any sort of gloves. Which is concerning since her long nails were touching my eyes. Throughout the experience, I felt the owner could be a lot warmer and friendlier. Again I thought she was having a bad day. I asked her tons of questions with a smile and curiosity. She did answer them. I genuinely wanted to learn more about her business/services. I love supporting female small businesses. Sooooo.... after my experience, I went onto Yelp and found that my experience was NOT unique at all. Everyone who got a Groupon package was treated like crap. Not sure why??? **If you want to avoid a bad experience do not go to Dream Skins and Lashes with a Groupon deal in hand. For a 5-star experience go without Groupon!!!** To be completely fair I do like the classic mink set!!! It is perfect for a first timer like me. After the application, I saw a lash that was out of place and the owner quickly helped fix it. As far as I know (today is the first day with the extensions) her work is good. I found Claudia from my work proximity, and after a disappointing experience somewhere else I decided to go to her instead for a fill. She had beautiful work on her Instagram. I should preface this by saying I have a weird eye phobia. To the point where wearing contacts is torture for me. It just makes me grossed out. So getting extensions is hard! When I came in, I had clumpy looking plastic-y lashes that looked fake from another place down the way in Walnut Creek. That lash tech didn't talk to me during the appointment, didn't explain differences in lashes, nor did she show me any pictures. When I left I was fairly disappointed with how they looked and decided not to ever go back. Claudia first cleaned everything, then replaced them with mink lashes. Much more lightweight and natural looking than the synthetic. She is a lovely, warm woman who was waiting for me when I got there (I unfortunately was a few minutes late), and was super gracious. I really enjoyed chatting with her, and it made the whole time go by so much faster. I didn't feel like I was screaming into a void, lol. She's so down to earth and lovely. At the end, she really took her time helping me get used to opening my eyes and drying them well so they weren't irritated from the glue. Oh and I had a semi freak out because a small natural lash was touching my eyeball and I was having a small panic attack. She quickly fixed it in seconds. I left with gorgeous, long fanned out lashes that look SO much more natural and glam. Claudia is such a doll!! I don't know why people would say she is rude. Did you meet the same Claudia I did?! The studio is located within a bigger studio upstairs and it was confusing if you are first timer. However you just need to follow the suite number and you will locate Claudia's studio. Her studio is very relaxing and comfortable. She walked out to greet and welcome me. She introduced herself and walked me through the lash extension procedure. She gave compliments to my natural lashes while being honest and pointed out which kind of extension works the best. Her space is very pretty and clean with AC to cool off from the summer heat. We agreed on a full yet natural look for the lashes, and she gave me exactly that! UPDATE! I just had my first two week lash refill with Claudia. First of all, when I had my first appointment with her I bought all of her lash products and I am really really happy with their quality. I kept a close eye on any shedding or lash fall out that happened between my first and my most recent appointment, and I was amazingly, amazingly impressed by the quality of Claudia's work. Not only did almost none of the lashes fall out before their time, but my lashes look amazing even up until the point when I had my appointment today! Every SINGLE lash that Claudia put on was done perfectly and stayed that way even through my rough life style. (I wash my face twice a day, wear make up, rub my eyes, and basically do all the things that would ruin any less professional lash job immediately) I have pretty stubborn and slow growing lashes and they actually grew noticeably since I've been going to her which is a huge unexpected plus of her impeccable work. Claudias helpful reminder texts were wonderful and a great way to update me about my appointment, and when I came in she was kind, sweet, courteous, and friendly just like the first time I went and saw her. She even worked around my schedule and put aside her own appointments so that she could see me when it was convenient for me. First let me say, I will never apply those chemicals to my lashes ever again. Perhaps for some, the results are ok, but it's not for every lash type. Claudia assured me she could help and was so wonderfully compassionate about my situation. My eyes were swollen from the over processing (and this was almost 2 weeks after the treatment) and my lashes curled completely around in a circle. She used the gentle Keratin Treatment... took her time and made them healthier and presentable again. I went to Claudia with Groupon. I love how detailed and a perfectionist she is. My lashes lasted through 2 weeks in Hawaii. I came back and got them even fuller. I also wanted Microblading of my eyebrows. I went yesterday for my appointment. Claudia took her time with creating new eyebrow for me and was very open to anything I wanted, however, she is very knowledgeable about color, shape, etc and helped steer me in the right direction. The place was relaxing but the experience wasn't. She asked if I've experienced anything bad, from getting my eyelashes done. I mentioned that I've experienced my eyes red because I'm sensitive to the glue so they usually use a glue that's made specifically for those whose eyes are easily irritated. She said she didn't have that kind but she has "high quality" glue. So fast forward, we proceeded and she said to let her know if I start to feel any burning and so I did. After a couple of times, she was probably tired of stopping and airing my eyes (which actually helps with the irritation---my new go-to lash lady explained exactly what happens when some of the fumes of the glue gets to my eyes and so it needs to be fanned out) she ultimately just said we would just stop because she doesn't want to hurt me. She said we could try again, let her know how this one works. My eyes were no red after this session, mostly in part because she BARELY put any lashes on, maybe 40? Anyway, I tried to schedule again, thinking maybe she can really do the full set and maybe a little more so I can get my monies worth from my first appointment, tried to schedule a few times with no luck. I just wanted to get what I paid for but it's probably for the better that didn't work out because another part of the crappy experience was the conversation. She was condescending and seriously had no filter. I'm a stay at home and she went on and on about how she could never be like me, how she has to work. As if staying at home meant no work. And that's besides the point, seriously though, she's something else. I'm glad when the conversation got to her looking down at me for being a domestic engineer, that's the part when she's like okay I'm done doing your lashes cause you're complaining too much. A real professional would walk you through the experience, as does my go to lash person, if there's something you're feeling, they're patient and makes it better, and works with your lashes as every client is different and has different needs, and most importantly, she fulfills the product you're paying for, so for a full set, you should get the 100 lashes and or more--- something clearly, this dream skin lash person is not/does not provide. read more

She never showed up for my appointment. :( I went in on July 4th to get my full set. Let me be clear Claudia does great work. We had a great conversation--we laughed and chatted the entire time. I had no idea I had been laying there for over an hour. I can say that she did have a little bit of a change in tone when I mentioned the Groupon deal but it quickly reverted back to a very sweet and accommodating nature. At the end of our appointment she booked me for 2 weeks out, I asked her for a Saturday because I work in South San Francisco and I'm not home during the week. She said she didn't have weekend appointments and that the Groupon deal would expire if I waited for a weekend -- granted I waited a while to use the deal so I felt obligated to make it woel. I said okay and actually switched my work from home days to accommodate my fill appointment. It was scheduled for today 7/17 at 11:30, I called her to let her know that I was running about 5 minutes behind because again I'm working from home and trying to do this over my lunch break. I asked her to call me back if that was going to be an issue. I never got a call back. I showed up at 11:33 for my 11:30 appointment she was no where to be found. I waited until noon in her waiting room. I finally called her and let her know that I'd contact group and ask for a refund for this portion. I think it's horrible business practice to leave your clients hanging without any type of notice. I went out of my way to make this work all I ask for is the courtesy to let me know if you're running late or behind or if you're not okay with me being a couple minutes late. I'm super bummed because I thought this would be a great place for me to continue coming back to--she also did my eyebrows and I loved them too! But after this experience and completely altering my day to fit her schedule only to have my time wasted through a monkey wrench in that. read more
