I booked a 3 hour sail for four people, Harry met us at the boat went over things to expect and safety protocols. He let me take the helm after we left the dock after giving instructions on where to head while he got the boat ready to sail. Once we got out away from the harbor I continued to helm the boat as we headed towards Seattle. Harry and I talked while the rest of party went up on the deck and enjoyed the sun and breeze. After a while I let Andrew take the helm and we enjoyed a glass of wine and the wind, water and tranquility of sailing. Harry is an excellent host and an expert sailor who provided nice sailing experience letting you sail the boat as much or little as you wanted. I would do it again. read more

We were looking for a private vessel to give us a real sailing experience as opposed to one of the much larger sail cruises in the area. I took a chance on Harry, sight unseen, for a fun experience for a small work team. The day exceeded our expectations! Harry took us out for a very enjoyable cruise of the sound and let us raise the sails and steer to boat (under his watchful eyes, of course). Harry is very knowledgeable about the area and is a skilled captain. You might just think he has salt in his veins. We lucked out with beautiful weather and were greeted with amazing views of downtown Seattle, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Hood and even a peek-a-boo look at Mt. St. Helens. The trip was all of the fun with none of the responsibilities of owning a boat. Things to note: -If you aren't familiar with sailboats, they are space efficient and relatively tight on space. Harry's boat is a good size for a group of people to enjoy time on the water. Some agility required to maneuver around the boat. -The Puget Sound usually has wind which makes sailing worthwhile, but the temps on the water are cooler than they are on land. -The harbor location on Bainbridge Island really lends itself to an incredible day of adventure with some of the best views of the Sound. Harry at Dreamboat Adventure Sailing was an amazing captain and host to our 6 person party. The sparkling sailboat made up for our cloudy day, and we had a blast. So, I'm counting my many blessings and the most important blessing is my sweet cutie who decided to surprise me with a fabulous day on the water. We showed up and met with Harry at 10:00 am. We then spent the next 6 hours sailing around Bainbridge Island. We've lived here for a few years now, but this was the first time we sailed around the island. Well, let me say it was BRILLIANT! Our day started off overcast, but the sun decided to shine as the day sailed smoothly by us. I got to spend time just soaking up the experience. My cutie steered us with great guidance from Harry and I took lots of photos, hung out in one of the beanbags, ate my yummy lunch from Jakes, and generally felt the deep gratitude of someone having a wonderful time. We saw seals, Dolphins, and some of the hidden jewels of Bainbridge. It makes me want to learn to sail, so that's the next step, having Harry teach us how to do more than just sit back and enjoy the ride. read more

Social distance at sea! We spent 5d/4n sailing the San Juans with Captain Harry and had a fantastic time. Oh Joy II is a classic beauty, extremely photogenic. It has ample space for our family + 1. Captain Harry was happy to share his sailing know-how and our family was eager to play captain and first mate. Captain Harry selected remote and scenic coves to anchor/overnight, and suggested beautiful routes for hiking and kayaking. The food onboard was phenomenal. Harry's wife Joy prepared gourmet meals in advance; we felt pampered and spoiled. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we have created many precious memories. Captain Harry was fantastic! We had a great time learning about the boat and getting a chance to steer around the waterway (trying to stay clear of the ferry boats). We booked a two hour sail, in the morning. There were five of us, which was perfect for the size of the boat. While out on the boat, you can walk around or steer. I personally really enjoyed sitting up near the bow and enjoying the views. I definitely recommend booking a trip with Dreamboat Adventure Sailing!
