I went against my better judgement and got the Italian Hoagie, when I should have gotten the Reuben or one of the other sandwiches. While the hoagie itself was okay, I didn't love the bread (reminded me of bread from Kroger or Meijer, not NYC Italian crusty bread), and there was not a lot of meat/cheese, toppings, etc., especially for a $15 sandwich. The service was outstanding though... I'd like to go back and try one of the other sandwiches because the reviews are high.

It was very creamy and had a mild cheese flavor. I liked the tee shirts the staff was wearing to promote their tea. McAlister's special tea is like drinking a hug - per the shirt. At the point another employee came back and asked us what it was. It turns out he was a new employee and still finding his way. No problem. No one starts out an expert at anything. We told him that was the case originally, but it was corrected by another employee and it was good now. The food took about ten minutes and wasn't presented as the prettiest meal I've ever eaten. It made it a VERY messy, high-napkin-utilization meal. While the tables were addressed quickly after diners leaving, the floors were another story.
