David and Eileen A. 7/21/19 We had our master bathroom remodeled and since we are getting up in years decided to widen the shower and incorporate safety items like grab bars, wheel chair accessible low entry shower floor, a chair in the shower and a raised toilet. We were tired of the maintenance required for tile and grout and decided to go with the Onyx products for all surfaces of the shower, vanity and sink. Ease of cleaning and maintaining were key for us. While a couple of the Onyx products arrived damaged (completely outside of DreamMaker's control), DreamMaker got right on the issue, dealt with the manufacturer and we received one item the next day with the other following within a week. In order to stay within our budget, we chose only to obtain new doors, drawer fronts and hardware for our cabinets. Once our oak cabinets were painted white, we could not tell the difference between our existing cabinet boxes and the new doors and drawer fronts. We love the soft close doors. Thanks to the design staff that helped two "unhandy" people tie it all together with beautiful hardware finishes, color coordination between the Onyx products, borders, paint colors and flooring. We are very pleased with the final outcome of this project. The entire staff were very professional, personable and a joy to work with. Last, but not least, we had no issue with sub-contractors not getting paid, and therefore, no liens were placed against our home. Nowadays, this is a huge plus. We knew we wanted to do a two bathroom remodel, but the ideas presented to us by Darren and Everett are what sold us on the project. The pictures we were able to view on the website of various remodels completed by DreamMaker, as well as the conversations and brainstorming that occurred with Darren and Everett, were very influential. The home walk through with Darren and Everett where they could see first hand what we had to work with, was extremely helpful when making the final decision to move forward with the remodeling project. We did a minor upgrade (re-face and some cabinet works to hide the upper gap from the ceiling) in our kitchen and felt that we couldn't have found a better company to work with than DreamMaker in Bakersfield, CA. Right from the first meet, we felt that we made the right choice by which we received a very warm welcome and had a pleasant discussion. 2013, 2016, and 2021 DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen remodeled first our kitchen, then our master bath, and most recently, helped turn a hall bathroom into a second master bath since we're a 32 year old house that's home for four adults. The project wasn't easy -- had to push out a wall, rewire, all new pipes, and you fix one thing, now you have to upgrade something else-- and Covid delays and workmen shortages didn't help. Our DreamMaker experience was exceptional. I have been working in construction and land development for over 30 years so expect problems with even the smallest project. We had our entire kitchen and one bathroom gutted and rebuilt and there were problems. Most were minor but one side of the kitchen cabinets had to be returned and rebuilt. Anyone who has contracted to have anything complicated built or repaired knows how difficult it can be to keep a contractor on your job from beginning to end. The one thing that impressed me the most about the DreamMaker team is that someone came every day to advance the completion of the remodel, including one Saturday (with advanced permission). The initial time estimate was six weeks from beginning to end and they only missed that deadline by one day. I used DreamMaker for my Guest Bathroom remodel and I am so glad I did. From beginning to end, I was very impressed with the quality and professionalism of everyone involved in the process. I also had a re-pipe of my whole house done and Omar did a fantastic job on that project. He went above & beyond, even fixing my front door latch that was sticking. I was impressed with his kindness. We own a cabin in the Los Padres mountains. The bathroom was in desperate need of a make-over. For example, it had a huge spa tub that required the climbing of stairs to get into it. The flooring was old and the aging lighting was insufficient to remove the gloom in the room. So, we shopped around for a contractor that would help us make our old bathroom more functional. What really sold us on DreamMaker was their process -- they follow a strict methodology every step of the way so that everything gets done properly and nothing is forgotten. Adding to our happiness was that we found them to be enjoyable to work with. They did a fantastic job! Or bathroom is beautiful. We wanted to make a second bedroom into a sewing/craft room but still have a bedroom where overnight guests would be welcome and comfortable. When we came to DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen, we were quickly put at ease about our project. At every step along the way, we were kept informed and all our questions were answered. We have special needs, and everyone was very kind and willing to talk, and listen to us. At the end of every day things were cleaned up and put away, which we always appreciated. We have a mountain home which desperately needed a bathroom remodel. We had some trouble finding a contractor that was willing to make the drive and do the work. DreamMaker was the answer. They visited our mountain home to determine what would be needed and then we met in Bakersfiled to go over the proposal. We were pleasantly surprised by their process. It was very thorough and gave us confidence that they would do a good job. The remodel started a week or two early (a nice surprise) and went very smoothly. From start to finish, these folks were very professional. On time, on budget and great suggestions. We remodeled two bathrooms in a very old house, that presented numerous unseen problems. Each time it was "no problem we will figure how to get it done." If they were going to be late or couldn't make an appointment , we got a phone call.
