Let me start by saying I think this place is more like 3.5 stars so I rounded up. First, this resort was "chosen" for me as part of a package deal for my friend's wedding and the booking was through a travel company so this part was easy for me and check in was just as easy. When we arrived to our room we were pleased with the layout and overall cleanliness of the room but what was frowned upon for me was the size of the pillows on the bed, they were smaller than standard size. Additionally, when I moved the pillows I could see that leather headboard was worn and had some spots that were discolored, not a big deal but something that I did frown upon. That's the only complaint that I had about my room, it was clean and smelled good. The size of the resort is manageable - what I mean by this is that it was small enough to navigate easily but large enough that it holds a multiple shops, about 7 restaurants that had fairly nice offerings. I did not dine at all but I did dine at 2 specialty restaurants (Cin Cin - Mediterranean cuisine and Tamarind - Mexican cuisine) and the buffet restaurant - this was where the .5 deduction comes into play, the offerings were mostly the same each day; compared to the experience that I've had at other all inclusive resorts, this was odd to me because other resort buffets had more variety. The beach was OK, what I liked most was that there were workers that cleaned the seaweed from the beach every so often. There were multiple pools on the resort which was nice. There were shows and/or events happening every night also which was nice too. Overall for the price point, my experience was good.

We took a family trip with 6 adults and 2 children. We're ultimate members and that actually helped us enjoy our moments together. Greeted with cold towels and our room was great Jr. Suite with ocean view was amazing The preferred club served cocktails and snacks with a relaxed laid back atmosphere acess to the Mecuri club made breakfast special for us with excellent ocean views Buffet for breakfast and lunch with family. Dinner at the Capers, Cin Cin, Spice, and plenty of bar food options poolside our favorite was CIn Cin. The beach was fine and water felt great that had a place we could check the kids in when needed time adults only Kids Korner they loved it.. The only issue is they try and hawk you into coupons for credits for 90 minute presentation of time share future vacation options. We simply said no thanks about 10 times and they quit asking our stay was 4 nights the service was exceptional and we never had to ask for anything such as towels, coffee etc always clean and ready for us when we return from our activities.

After reading all the mediocre reviews on this resort I have to say I ended up being pleasantly surprised with my stay. It was a brief one but I tried to take in as much as possible while I was there. The resort itself is very beautiful, clean, and updated. Size wise it's not a massive resort but just big enough to feel like your not constantly bumping into other guests during your stay. Check in was simple and only took about 10 minutes. My guest suite was nice and absolutely perfect for 2 people (7303). It was a pool and ocean view king suite with a living room, a spacious balcony with jacuzzi, fully stocked mini fridge, 2 closets, large shower with rain shower head, and a his and hers vanity in the bathroom. There are 5 restaurants on the property. An all day buffet spot, an Asian restaurant, an Italian, French, and a Mexican. Depending on what time you go, reservations are needed for most of them to avoid a long wait. I was pleased with the buffet offerings so that's where I ate each time. The food was always flavorful and fresh plus the selection was plentiful. There's activities going on in various parts of the property all day, every day so there's always something to do for both adults and children. There's also a kids club (explorer's club) that's available from 9am-10pm for ages 3-12.

Everything went well, No issues! I would not recommend taking a ferry to cozumel. Overrated, 12 hour long journey for 1 hour of crystal clear water.

As you will notice, this resort is picturesque of a Cancun luxury visit. Upon arrival, the villa is an oasis dripping with opulence and courtesy. Greeted with cool wet towels and curbside services. It is felt that you have friends here in Mexico. Be wary of the friendliness once inside. There are all sorts of extras here like membership services and premium services. Learn to say NO to others asking you to step away and into their offices. The wolves will strip your afternoon away and a resentment of a purchased membership that you didn't want. Once you managed the sales pitch stay within your bounds to a mediocre stay. Staff was saccharine sweet. Often they are watching you and policing your every turn. We found our way into the adult pool with a swim up bar. A beautiful morning, a nice cool plunge and tried out a rum drink... a young man walked up to take our room number and managed us out of the pool area spoiling our fun. It was a $hitty thing he did. Eye-balled us the entire time. We spent a small fortune upon getting here and yet the Dream Police is making it a nightmare at this facility. Left the area and ended up near the kiddie pool on the loud side of our hotel existence. Earlier in our visit, my family member was exhibiting signs of heat exhaustion and was feeling ill. In need of a vessel for her to vomit in I had requested assistance from the barkeep, in return gave me a small glass which didn't help. He was aggravated by my request and I almost let my sister vomit all of their couch. Instead, I grabbed another glass in which saved the day. He was a prick and notified his manager of my request. He was of no help. Ugh! My other diagnoses of this hotel fails further...As a Foodie, there were small perks to eating here. The Carnival restaurant has an endless Smorgasbord styles of food. If you're gonna eat, Eat here. Some of it is actually delicious. Other restaurants are fair to midline. Other things I've experienced is room stuff such as the elevator didn't rise up to our floor. It just didn't work. The corridors were not lit. It was hard to see our door to our room. The tub had a slow leak so we would always hear it drain out. We had no bucket to collect ice. And upon requesting service for a plastic bag for the ice, the ice machine didn't work. I know there are many problems getting a place like this operating but I felt it not worth our flying down here for a vacation. I'd rather stay stateside and get more for my money. They should be bending over backwards for us to help improve the Dream hotel.

This was our second stay at Dreams Jade in just over a year. This stay was as members of the Unlimited Vacation Club and was wonderful. We were greeted with cold towels, champagne, and check-in was a breeze. We grabbed a quick lunch while luggage was taken to our clean, spacious room. The beach was clean although the ocean was on red flag during our stay (just after the hurricane). The pools were clean and plenty of towels were available. My husband and I spent our time playing pickleball with Angel, taking the bike tour to town with Dylan, and of the evening would enjoy dinner and the nightly shows. Wait times for dinner at the restaurants can be long, but room service is also available and included. Our favorite restaurant is Capers, but Tamarindo serves up a delicious nightly margarita not available at the bars. The teppanyaki table is quite entertaining and Miguel puts on quite the show! The adult preferred pool is the best! The server, Al, and the hammocks over the pool with beach view are amazing! We definitely recommend staying here for adults and kiddos and look forward to returning!

Booked through Expedia but apparently was never charged. Front desk calls 45 min. after we'd checked in, signed paperwork, etc. and given keys to our room (sans luggage) to say we didn't pay. Arrived to the room with a VIP banner strapped to the door, but never saw any VIP treatment or differentiating between the next room. We also paid for a Junior Suite Ocean View, but was given a garden view. The railing was unstable & needed repair. I almost fell the first time I tried using it. Room safe was broken, as well, and was unusable for the duration of our trip. Pile of sand on the floor in the living area - was that area of the room just never cleaned? Food throughout the resort was blah at best. Most drinks were watered down to accommodate such a large number of guests. Your best bet is canned beer and bottled water. Overall, the staff were friendly, but this is not a resort I'd like to return to.

After the ceiling kept leaking heres what they are left with . Did not follow up on us the day after arrival.

Don't make people go on app to request room cleaning. Just do it or ask when you check in if you want daily clean or every other day or whatever! You need to Improve the food quality. Get better pillows, stop locking the temp you can cool your room down to. Its 90 out. 60 might be comfortable for sleeping but you cant set it any lower than 68. Offer ice machines in the buildings instead of having to get room service. Stop trying to get the pushy people to get you to buy future vacation discounts. We backed out after hearing the cheapest deal was $ 15,000 for 15 years of discounted resort stays at many of this chains properties. Be attentive to guests. Follow up with problems they have.

The most amazing hospitality imaginable. I don't even know where to start, we had the most incredible week at Dreams Jade. The weather was absolutely perfect! Our room was massive and offered the most amazing views. This was our very first experience at an all inclusive resort. We made sure to try and utilize every possible amenity granted to us to ensure we made the most of our trip. There are a few things that's I'd like to highlight about our trip. The Hospitality: this was unmatched to anything we have ever experience in our lives. Every single member of the staff at Dreams Jade was so unbelievably welcoming!! I cannot stress this enough, we felt so welcomed everywhere we went. I want to thank each and every single person at this beautiful resort for making our stay so special. I truly believe the people that work here are the reason that this place is so magical. The individuals that I wanted to highlight were Cesar, Javier, and Abdias. These three amazing individuals all worked at the The Reef Bar during our stay. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, these three made us feel so special. They went above and beyond every single day to make us feel as if we were at home, surrounded by Family. We learned so much about them and their families, they taught hs a great deal and also made she we were never thirsty! Cesar Introduced me to The Cantarito, this is something I will carry with me forever. The most amazing cocktail I have ever had the experience of enjoying. It was also not the easiest drink to make and they never once hesitated to make me another. He and Javier made them exceptionally! The Food: If there was one thing I could complain about, it would be the food. This is specific to me though. I am a vegetarian and I felt very limited during my dining experiences. The buffet offered the most variety obviously, but even still after a few days it all became very monotonous. My favorite meal during our Stay was without question at Tamarindo. The Beet carpaccio and Vegetarian Enchiladas was exquisite! None of my meals at any of the other places came close to Tamarindo. Although, I would like to point out that during our dinner at Spice, the server too it upon himself to order us a Vegetarian Roll that was amazing! It's that level of hospitality that needs to be highlighted. Such an incredible gesture. The Pools: we mostly used the adults only pool because it was so close to our room. The pool was so beautiful and so peaceful. One of my favorite things about the adults only pool was how quiet it was and how amazing the hospitality staff was. Though it did definitely seem to lack the energy of the main pool. The Activities: Dreams Jade most certainly does an amazing job in keep you busy if you let them! A few of the highlights for us would be the bike ride into Puerto Morelos with Christian. He was the most inviting guide and you can feel how genuine he is and how much he really enjoyed what he was doing! Thank you so much Christian for taking us to the town. We also loved used the Kayaks and Catamaran to explore the waters. The nightly shows were also so amazing! The Guests: We met so many amazing people from all over the world. Do not hesitate to interact with other guests. Most of the things we did and enjoyed the most were based on recommendations made by other guests. You will make friends and it will just add to your experience. Final thoughts: if you are looking for somewhere to have an amazing getaway, I highly recommend Dreams Jade! I can't even fathom there being a better hospitality experience in all of Mexico. I feel so honored to have gotten to share a small piece of my life with such incredible people!

Dreams Jade is a nice resort. The common areas are kept clean and overall is a beautiful atmosphere. I came to Dreams with my two kids, looking to relax and enjoy our time together. Upon our arrival, we were stopped at the front gate where a staff member checks that you have a reservation before allowing you to enter. I liked this. It gave me a lot of comfort knowing not just anyone could come into the resort. Once onto the property the bellman greeted us with the warmest welcome. The check in process wasn't as friendly. The receptionist didn't even look up to greet me, she barely spoke and it felt a bit cold. Once we were assigned our room, the salesmen come over to get you to register for the timeshare pitch. I AM A STICKLER FOR THIS. I don't like overly aggressive sales people. Ruben was nice but didn't take no for an answer easily. He even went as far as showing me a picture of his family and kids that he needed to support. I ended up agreeing to attend in the morning but not if it took up time away from my kids. He agreed I didn't have to stay just check in and say no, thank you and he would get his commission. This didn't end well as the next morning I showed up and was told I had to stay the full 1.5 hour presentation. I was here with just me and my two young kids and that was an instant deal breaker. They told me I had to attend since I signed up. They even went as far as calling the room and reiterating what I already declined. The rooms are outdated and I was fairly disappointed. The bathroom shower doors were made of glass and were full of soap scum. A few times the power kept going on. That was a drag when trying to blow dry my hair. The staff here are kind. Very welcoming. I loved how friendly everyone was. The restaurants often didn't have everything on the menu. Which was a bummer. The buffet had the best food in my opinion but be prepared to wait in a HOT line to be seated. It was torture waiting and sweating just to be seated. Carpers was good. But the menu was limited as several of the menu items weren't available. I ate the shrimp risotto. It was ok. Not my favorite. I also tried CinCin and had the beef stir fry. This was probably the best meal I had the entire trip. Same instance as Capers, the food was limited. They had no fish. But luckily what I was able to order was quite satisfying. Spice was a no go for me. We were sat immediately but waited about 20 minutes just to be greeted and the food was not to our liking at all. The burgers, nachos and fries at the pool was our to go to throughout the day. It was easy and good. The pool was so fun. We didn't have any issues finding seating. The drinks were good but barely any alcohol. This is where we spent most of our time and it was enjoyable. The kids club was a hit at first. Until I started to notice some issues. First it's not full time babysitting as most of the events require the parents to attend and keep your kid until the event ended. Which was fine but not what I expected. I also had an incident with one of the ladies speaking rudely to my child and the last straw was when one of the staff said my son used profanity and my child was not only shocked by the allegation but cried about it not being true. Eventually, didn't return my kid. I think this is more of a preference as I'm not someone who normally leaves my kids with anyone. So I would say it's not for me. But Ana was kind and amazing. Overall, dreams is a cool resort. I didn't have my best first resort experience here. Again, I would leave that up to preference. I would probably book somewhere else first before I would return here.

Bring the kids. Spend family time at the pool or beach and if you want to enjoy a few hours of me-time, you can drop them of anytime from 10am to 8pm at the Kids Club! It's massive and they have tons of activities and will bring your kid to the buffet for meals at meal times if you want. Like any all-inclusive stay, restaurants have set opening times so be prepared to not eat what you want when you want. Room service is always available but the menu changes and is limited to certain timeframes as well. To get around that if we knew we wanted to eat early in the morning before an excursion- room service. Drinks - ample bars around. To get the most out of your buck, drink as much as you can drink LOL Highly recommend to download the app to navigate your schedule. The layout of the hotel makes sense. All the eating spots are relatively in one area. If you have kids, stay close to the pool and not book the preferred club rooms, the pools there are adult only and quite a walk to the main pool. If you do want to stay ay the preferred club rooms, request a room in the 6th building pool view, its closest to the center and main areas . If you get a garden view on the 6th building you might be people watching some weddings and receptions (dancing and loud music til around midnight) in the evenings. Beach area is ok. They try their best to clear the kelp with a big tractor. I was surprised with the amount of kelp this time of year (Feb) since it usually comes in June/summer months. Sigh for climate change. Staff is very friendly. We had no trouble with them. Food was ok. Not the best but we found that the made to order sections at the buffet are your best bet. We only stayed for 3 days and were there for a wedding. We stayed at Fairmont Mayakoba 3 days prior and although that was higher end, I would also give it 4 stars for other reasons. The waitstaff kept offering drinks at the reception. Were eager to keep the tables clean. Service was really good. Room was not exactly what was pictured, but I didn't need to complain. We got the preferred junior ocean view but got a room with a partial view of the ocean from afar and mostly the garden view. It was clean and sufficient for our needs. It was a bit of a walk since we were at building 8 from the other end of the hotel and we had to traverse to the other side to get to the pool. Building 9 is the furthest from anywhere but the adult only pool if that's your preference. They did keep the rooms clean and would even have a turndown service which I don't think was noted for the preferred club or maybe I did not pay attention. Spa was great! We did the 1hr massage and hydrotherapy after dropping of our kid at the kids club. Felt relaxed. Did not expect to be ushered through to every step of hydrotherapy but it was fine. The attendant could use some more finesse in his voice but maybe thats just how his manner of speaking is. Like I said by bar is low so it was more than I expected. If you want to avoid getting sold a time share, just say you have an excursion planned, a van waiting and need a quick check-in to anyone that greets you and ushers you to reception, even at the reception. That's what we did LOL I am giving it 4 stars because I have lowered my expectations for all-inclusive resorts. It can be hit or miss. Those who have tried all-inclusive places before, know this. Their service and staff were polite and good, they kept the facilities clean. The room was always clean and the beds were always made. The Kids Club is definitely a winner for me.

The service in the restaurants was horrendous and inconsistent. The food also was very inconsistent and at some point dangerously prepared. For example, they served steak and hamburgers absolutely raw multiple times at both the restaurant and the pool bar. The bar in the lobby closes at 10:30 which is very early for any resort we have ever been to. We've been to many resorts in the Cancun region and never had this. The worst thing is that the alcohol is watered down. One of the bartenders even admitted it. We confirmed this before approaching the bartender by putting a glass of vodka in the freezer and it froze solid. This is absolutely horrible. The pictures of the resort online show a beautiful beach. The current status of the beach is about 50 feet of sand with a very rocky entrance into the water making it not desirable to go even into the ocean. This is the first time in my life, going to a resort on a beach that I could not enter the water. The rooms were very well appointed with beautiful appliances and cookware. The cleaning staff of the rooms were excellent and attentive to all the little things in the room. The room service was also bad. We ordered food that never came and when we called, They said we never got an order. The pizza was always undercooked. The day before we left, I approached the manager of the front desk and then up to the general manager about the food and beverage issues. The food and beverage manager refused to come and talk to us and said just write it down. The general manager, Armando said he was going to look into this. Surprisingly the service and food last night was absolutely wonderful. The chef even came out to see if everything was OK. At least there was some follow through by the general manager about the food situation. But this at point that was the only follow through. The room reservation was totally wrong. I booked this trip through the Holiday Inn club vacation website. I booked two 2- bedroom suites and one 1- bedroom suite. When we arrived, the one bedroom suite was a junior suite which is what they called it and it was basically a hotel room. With no common area as described on the Holiday Inn club vacation website. They refused to accommodate any changes and I had to actually pay for another room with no credit towards it from the room that I originally reserved. I also spoke to Armond the general manager about this and he said he would text me the email to send the confirmations of the reservations. At this moment, he did not send me anything. Another example of lack of follow through.

We made it to every restaurant during our stay, and the dining exceeded our expectations. Magna's tomahawk steak was phenomenal, but Basmati completely stole our hearts. It was hands down our favorite restaurant, and the food was a 15/10. We were talking about going back before we had even finished our meal. The service is what truly sets this resort apart. Amable went above and beyond every single day. She quickly learned who we were, remembered what we liked, and always took the time to chat with us and make us feel special. By the end of the trip, she felt like family. Saying goodbye was incredibly emotional. She gave me the biggest hug before we left and told us she couldn't wait to see us again in January. She truly made our vacation unforgettable. Joel was another standout. We bonded over our love of reading, but what impressed us most was the care he put into making each day special. Every morning, our daybed was perfectly prepared before we even arrived, with towels laid out and everything ready for us to relax. He remembered that we were celebrating our anniversary, and he and Raul surprised us with the sweetest towel art in our room to celebrate. After noticing how much I loved fresh coconuts, Joel started bringing one to me every afternoon without me even asking. It's those thoughtful little touches that turn a great vacation into an unforgettable one. Excellence Riviera Cancun continues to set the standard for what an all-inclusive resort should be. Between the exceptional staff, delicious food, beautiful accommodations, and the added benefits of Excellence Club, it's become our favorite place to vacation. The biggest compliment we can give is that we were already planning our next trip before this one ended. We'll be back in January, and I'm sure many more times after that. Thank you to everyone at ERC for another unforgettable stay. We already can't wait to come home.

All of the restaurants are great, my favorites were Basmati and Spice. The only room for improvement: I wish there were healthier options available by the pools do lunch. The taco truck is great but doesn't open until 4pm.. a little late for lunch. I don't want fries/hotdog/burger/nachos for lunch. The Linux buffet was great, but it would've been nice to have a salad or tacos by the pool. Loved the shows and trivia every night! Can't wait to go back.

I was thinking about why I liked CDM so much. We were only there 3 nights and then went down to…read moreAkumal, but it left such an impression on me. I've stayed in more luxurious places, including Danielles in Venice. I think I know the CDM secret. It was the lack of people that you see. Nothing and no-one annoyed me here. Even in luxurious places, there is likely someone who will be annoying, or rude or abrupt or loud, or arrogant or whatever. In fact, some of the "exclusive" places have some very arrogant and superior people, and that detracts from the experience. But I don't need to tell you how annoying people can be, do I? Not that people can't be very nice also, but the more people around, the more chance someone will detract from your experience. But when you don't even come across other people (except the ones you bring with), there's no-one to possibly bother you. You go to the beautiful pool, and there's no-one there. Not even anyone doing the "reserve our lounge chairs with towels at the crack of dawn game", when they don't use them till noon. None of that stupid stuff, and no screaming kids doing cannonballs in the pool (not that I don't like kids). The beautiful pool might as well be in your own back yard. You don't hear the adjacent room through the thick walls, and you don't even see other room balconies. The grounds are designed so every balcony is private. No-ones front door is next to yours, or even nearby. You look out over the grounds and virtually no-one is walking around. You go to the pier and it's empty of people. You go to the beach and no-one is there also. You pick your favorite lounge chair location and it's open just waiting for you. The staff here were all nice and subdued and not intrusive, but were friendly if you chatted a bit to them. When they bring your breakfast trays in the morning to your room, they place it in a hutch by the front door and you don't even see them! Look at the pictures I posted. The professional ones are from the CDM website and mine are the others. You'll notice there's no-one in the pictures. Other resorts have to rope off the area to get deserted pictures like those, and when you get there it is overrun by strangers. Not at CDM. When you think of that, you should try to stay here if you ever can, even for a few days. It's actually great value for the money. What an awesome experience. They do destination weddings here, and that probably feels like you rented the whole resort, cause I'm sure the other guests would stay out of your way. I can't think of another place like CDM.

If you're going to stay here, make sure you let them know when you're going to arrive as there doesn't seem to be a front desk. I called when we got there and we waited for about 10 minutes until Genevieve got there. Not a problem though because I do understand it's not really a traditional hotel. The grounds themselves are beautiful. There's lots of green space, and there's also a little pond with two turtles in it. Hopefully someone is feeding the turtles because when we were there we gave them like 2 whole avocados over the span of 3 or 4 days - them seemed famished. The pool is OUTSTANDING. It's not a traditional pool, there's not really much space to sunbathe, but it felt SO good after a long, hot day at the beach or walking around town. Plus it overlooks the ocean. Our favorite part of the place was the rooftop. Stunning views. Unfortunately the room we stayed in had window that overlooked a tree and a wall. There was a little window at the top of that wall, and no curtains on it, which made for a daily wake up time of whenever the sun came up. BUT, their neighbors started building a wall right outside that window. The stairs they were using to get to their roof were right outside that window, and any of the workers could've looked in our room, and directly down into the bathroom/toilet. I let management know and they came not more than two hours later to measure the window and make a mesh curtain for it. I was VERY pleased with how quickly they reacted to my email. It's unfortunate (and not Layla's fault) that there was a wall built, but I suppose that solved the sunrise wake up every morning. Other than that the room (selva) was nice. It had a little cooktop, sink, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The refrigerator froze almost everything we put in there, and we were unable to mess with the temperature. They had dish soap, hand soap, and I think body wash as well. Beach towels were provided though they're old and stained. The pillows were mish mash as were the pillow cases. I thought they had a restaurant and yoga classes and a salon, but everything was closed. Overall I'd recommend this place. It's a wonderfully affordable option and the entire staff is nice (I think we interacted with 5 of them; they'd come during the daytime). The views can't be beat, and the quietness of the location really amplified the charm that is Puerto Morelos!!!!

Jime and Lucio, who are the managers, come up with various music and night activities. Brunch with Jime and Gloria Casanova is very entertaining! Thank you to all the staff of Layla Guesthouse.

I came to Quintana Roo for a few days of diving and picked this hotel because it was equidistant from Playa del Carmen and Cancun. It was a lesser known town so it wasn't overrun with tourists. The hotel itself was situated in the middle of town, so I was able to walk to various restaurants and shops. The supermarket is right across the street which made it easy to pick up supplies. The rooms are large and comfortable. The furniture is old but clean and in working order. It was such a great value for the price. The restaurant within the hotel was lovely as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Well, needless to say, they did! She's a…read moretravel agent, and I travel around with her, trying the resorts so she can recommend them to her customers. From the time we got here, with the ease of the check-in, to the rooms, the food, the amenities, and just the overall service, this place is run like a well-oiled machine! This is an older resort that still has the older Mexican Hacienda feel, with all of the modern upgrades and additions. You can tell they've put a lot of work into keeping this resort as authentic as possible. There was clearly a lot of thought put into every change and upgrade that was made to this resort. Our room was a corner suite at the end of the resort overlooking the ocean, the Dunas Suites. We thoroughly enjoyed getting up every morning to watch the sunrise, drink our coffee, and start the day! We had our own private pool, which was great to come back to and just soak and talk at the end of each day. The room and accommodations were absolutely top-notch! The food was absolutely amazing! We typically don't do the buffet, but we tried it, and it was the nicest buffet we have ever been to. We tried a variety of the different restaurants, and they were all absolutely amazing! For anyone that is a foodie, this is probably the best food I've ever had at an all-inclusive resort. They have three pools here: the Silver, which is a smaller pool in more of a natural setting; the Golden Pool, which has a lazy river and goes from Building 6 to 8; and then the main pool, which is one of the largest pools we've ever seen at a resort. It's HUGE! What I liked about it is they had two different bars there, and they have rafts available, which is super convenient as we usually bring our own. And yes, they have a lot of high-end booze and make some really good drinks at the pool bars! Each night after dinner, we would end up at the Plaza España! On our way, we would stop and get a churro at the churro cart, which I highly recommend, and then we would finish with a few drinks from the La Plaza Bar and live entertainment, which was usually a DJ or a live band! The later it got, the livelier it became, as the dance floor was a pretty hot attraction! A must-stop is Café Sisal, which offers hot and cold coffee drinks, fruit drinks, a variety of different sandwiches and pastries, and of course, their ice cream! This is a big resort, and if you are staying toward the oceanside, I would strongly recommend utilizing the golf cart services. We would at certain times, but a lot of the time we found a shortcut by the big pool that cut the walk in half. They have so much to offer, with a variety of different daily activities. Overall, this place is absolutely amazing, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone looking for an all-inclusive resort in Riviera Maya.

I was very pleasantly surprised with everything! From the food to the staff, to the activities and variety of spaces, it was really a wonderful experience. I also LOVED all the wildlife we saw! Especially the coatis. Once you arrive, you are greeted with a welcome drink and they take your luggage to your room. Our rooms weren't quite ready but we were able to head to the buffet and get some food. We had the deluxe junior suite, which was the cheapest room option. It was very spacious, with two double beds, a small couch, table and chairs, and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. We loved the location of the building as it was near the pools and all the restaurants. It's a bit further from the beach, but we didn't spend much time there. The resort features several restaurants: French, Italian/Mediterranean, sushi, Mexican, Thai/Asian, a buffet, and a surf & turf restaurant. There is also a coffee shop that's open late, and food trucks at the pool areas. The food was quite good, with lots of options and incredible care when it comes to food allergies. I loved the Petite Alsace experience (a private dining experience at the French restaurant), and at $59 per person extra it was totally worth it. The only food I didn't love was the room service - it was almost always cold. But the wings were tasty! The staff at this resort make it so fun - they were always smiling and friendly, and so entertaining. Sonia at the main pool bars was the best, mixing up all the best drinks! Speaking of drinks... they have everything you could possibly think of (except aperol). The specialty shots are very fun. The afternoon pool events were a blast - we watched the mechanical bull competition, participated in aqua yoga at the pool, learned about Mexican produce at the cooking class, and more. They have nightly entertainment like DJs and karaoke in the courtyard, as well as a show every night. We loved the magic show! We also did a yoga class and the bike tour - I highly recommend the bike tour on your first day as it helps get an overview of the layout of the resort. The Golden pool area is super quiet and calm vs. the main pool area. It was nice to switch it up mid-week with a more restful afternoon on the "lazy river." Tips: -Bring an insulated mug/cup for the pool (and a larger straw for frozen drinks) -A waterproof holder for your phone/tipping money at the swim up bar is nice to have -I went back and forth on bringing inflatable loungers... I didn't pack them but wish I had. You can find the resort's blue floating pads pretty easily but they are not very versatile (I prefer ones where you can sit more upright) -Bring a game/deck of cards to play while waiting for dinner. (There is a lot of entertainment too, but it was nice to have) -Large groups (more than 8) will likely have to split up for dinner at the restaurants I'm so glad I got to experience this resort. Some of the guests we met have been there 20+ times!
