I've come here with my family a few times now and every time has been great. We've ordered different dishes and they are all so tasty! Especially the crepes and Greek omelet. We had something not right with the order one time and our waitress was really nice and got it fixed easy peasy. Super delicious food, kid friendly, decorated really cute! First time at Dreez and had a great experience! We had the Buffalo Burger, Cucumber Shrimp Avocado Bites, and the Fried Ravioli's (we got these as an appetizer and shared them. You have to try these!). The food was all very good, there was very few people (not sure why) but the atmosphere is nice, even the music (big band, jazz) was good. I really have no complaints. People were nice too! The burger was large and filling and the other plates were good portions, not too large. They were out of the steak special, but after having the other food, I didn't miss it. I think perhaps people don't know that they are open for dinner now. Perhaps that's why it was not busy. If you haven't tried it, please go and support this great establishment. Healthy fare and the prices were very reasonable. $10 for the burger, $8 ea. for the other dishes. Give it a shot! read more

I've heard great things about this breakfast restaurant, people saying it's great ! Me and my girlfriend stopped by and it took a while for someone to notice us sitting in the bench by the door , after someone finally asked "has anyone helped you " I said "no" and they offered a table , we sat down and they quickly took our order , food came out in 15-20 minutes, my hash browns were cold on top and in the middle , I got a Denver omelet . The egg on my omelet was sticky and it was bland , the red and green pepper cold as well like it hadn't touched a grill at all! The 80 corridor is a "food desert" until you come to a little "food oasis" in Elko, NV named after the owner, "Dreez". They roast their coffee beans in their own "roaster" on site. Only open from 7-2pm; serving breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is clean, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. A must stop! The bonus is that at breakfast, the menu has a kids AND seniors portion. That's good, because the regular breakfast fills a plate. The staff are helpful. I only had breakfast, so I can't comment on the dinner food but I did notice a terrific selection of beers. Light & bright downtown space that caters to locals and tourists. read more

Stopped her on an essential road trip and was a little concerned given the county's high rate of incidents but one needs to eat the I80 corridor is a little messy! At first glance, the place looks COVID-19 compliant. The waitress that greeted and served us was wearing a mask and she sat us sufficiently distant from other diners. But there was one waitress who kept going in out of the food service area to other tables with the mask on her chin. She should be fired! But now we might understand why the county has a problem! I did not spend any time dawdling in this place and we did not have to wait for our table, but they do not socially distant people in the waiting area or outside the front door so please proceed with caution! The menu has a good variety. Although clearly they do not understand food allergies because when I asked what was in the gluten- free waffles, the waitress replied with what it was served with. When I clarified the question, she went to the kitchen and returned with "gluten free flour mix" and list other ingredients (includes dairy and eggs for those that need to know). Not very helpful! I ordered al a carte potatoes and chorizo (which is not an unusual breakfast for me given my allergies. I was disappointed the chorizo was a link. But the country potatoes were done well (the cheese was properly left off). My allergy-free husband ordered Chorizo Benny. He enjoyed it! I don't often give 5 Star reviews but I am going to have to do it this time. I'd actually give a 4.5 but that's not an option so I'll round up instead of down because, well it's pretty dang good. This was our 2nd visit in 8 days, as we decided we liked it so much the first time we'd go back. Among several other somewhat traditional items, they seem to specialize in several variations of Eggs Benedict which they call "Benny's". Last week I had their top dog version, with salmon. It was super delicious. This week I tried another specialty off their menu, Pistachio Waffles. Quite simply they were good but I think based off or previous dining experience I expected them to be a notch better than they were. Don't get me wrong. They were definitely worth trying and I can see why they are one of their best selling items on the menu as they are uniquely original. I've not seen them at any other restaurant that I can think of. They come dolled up with a lovely portion of whipped cream and sliced strawberries along with eggs and a breakfast meat of your choice. The bacon is very good by the way. Inside, the meal house is decorated nicely, has a great ambiance and the staff seems to be on top of it all. If you go, which you should, also try the Peppered Bloody Mary. As the Beach Boys would say, I'm thinking of good vibrations. Go ahead, live a little! read more

Started here at 7:25 am, now 8:15 and no food yet. After 15 minutes finally got coffee, luke warm. Had to ask for another cup after another 15 minutes; this one was hot - improvement. Now up to two stars. Food finally came out after 45 minutes. Not sure why it took so long as they where not terribly busy; lost ticket? The food was ok but the scrabbled eggs were too "fluffy" as if they put too much water in them to cut comers. I would definitely stick to over easy or similar next time. To be fair, this review is just after covid and locations opening with labor shortages; thank you uncle Joe! As such, 4 stars with a future trip to validate this was a one off issue. read more

Came in here with a group of 8 on Sunday 11-6-22. Had the eggs Benedict as well as a couple of others in our group. The country potatoes were good. The Benedict, not so much. The eggs were cold, the English muffins very tough. Never had to use a knife on this dish before. Two others had the same issue. Hollandaise sauce was kind of blah. To be fair, they were pretty busy. This was a fantastic little find in Elko. Dreez is clean and has fun shabby chic charm. Bathrooms are clean and tidy. And the food.... oh so yummy. They have real maple syrup on request and wonderful fresh fruit. They have gluten free options and some unique options such as pistachio waffles. You must order the onion rings! Among the best I've ever had. Garlic steak sandwich is excellent. Sodas served in small Mason jars and metal box-served checks point to place's independent spirit. Try it. You'll like it a lot. I did so much I came back the next evening. Completely different menu. Sausage Sliders excellent. Lemon Curd Beignets delicious. Small but good wine list. Don't pass this one up! We stopped for brunch on a Saturday while traveling through the area and checked out this newer Elko dining option. The 20 minute wait (late morning) was worth it! I relished the delectable Basque Omelet, including the side of incredible chile-infused hash browns. Where else are you going to get a phenomenal heart-healthy omelet filled with roasted red peppers, grilled onions, Basque chorizo embellished in the perfect amount of mozzarella cheese, nestled inside fluffy eggs, then topped with a heap of roasted garlic?! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her savory Loaded French Dip, sans hoagie, accompanied by fresh-cut fries. Plentiful portions, excellent house coffee, great staff in a comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff round out a great dining experience. Value-wise, this place delivers 5-star level cuisine for the working person! This is a good breakfast spot for a big appetite. The breakfast potatoes were filled with cheese, peppers and bacon and we're delicious. The veggie Benny was good, but the eggs were slightly overcooked. Whatever creamy sauce they put on the veggie Benny was amazing when mixed with the potatoes. The server kept my coffee cup full which is huge for me. However, the food took a long time to get out. I'd come back if I ever unfortunately find myself in Elko. read more
