Always excellent service and great results. I have never had a single problem at Tom's. We take variety of cars; old, new. They always are helpful. It is easy to get appointment generally between couple days to a week. Once you are a loyal customer; if you have any emergency they are willing to work with your schedule. They are close on Mondays! Apointment made 1 week ago brought in at 8 am and 6 hours later it had not moved. I had called and was told everyone was at lunch and the guy wasn't sure if it had been worked on. I was a bit cross and he wasn't having any of it. There used to be a women there. She was great. Business must be good but customer service sucks. For a transmission flush. Come on guys. We need our cars. Owner wasn't around so how much can you expect from employee. I've been self employed and the only person you can hope to give a darn MOST of the time is the one that owns the business and you. If you do take your car here just be patient. It will get done,but not fast. I guess it's the law of most auto repair places, you pay for what you get. read more

Tom's Auto Repair in Parma is a little difficult to find because of signage off of the road, but well worth it when you finally get there. Honesty in auto repair is a great thing and after the auto dealer quoted me several hundred dollars more than my budget expected I tried Tom's Auto and he did the job for hundreds less and I have kept going back ever since. They are busy but turn around vehicles fairly quickly. The prices are great and he has a parts store next to his shop so he can get most parts immediately. I have recommended him to all of my friends and if you are in the area and need an honest mechanic or body work (though I have never had body work done here, my father has to his satisfaction) this is the place to go. One word of caution, they do NOT accept credit cards so it is cash or check only. read more

This guy is probably the best mechanic ....ever! His prices are so reasonable and he is always friendly. The only downside is that he is always busy so you may have to wait for a repair. And he doesn't accept credit cards. But when you want the best this is not big deal! He is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. read more

A nursing buddy of mine suggested Tom's when my car broke down and I lamented to her that I did not want to take it back to Conrad's and get charged an arm and a leg. After going to Tom's, I haven't taken my vehicles anywhere else since. Let me tell you about Tom...This guy has integrity! I took my car in and it was diagnosed as needing a distributor. Got stuck the next weekend after I got it back. Went back in the shop. I get a call telling me that the fuel pump was bad, too, but that the underside was so rusted out and deteriorated that it would cost me a crazy price to replace everything and he didn't think it would be a longtime solution. Instead of milking me out of an exorbitant amount of money and giving me false hope, he was honest and told me that the car needed to be scrapped. And when I went into the office to talk to him he told me that he never would've replaced the distributor if he had known about the underside...and he refunds me for the distributor job. Yes, I was shocked and then relieved to know that there are still honest human beings left in this world. I have seen a few complaints on here about displeasure at waiting times at Tom's. Yes, they are busy sometimes and you have to wait a bit for your car to be done. You know why return customers that patronize this shop are willing to wait? Because we know that the work is going to be done right and we won't get screwed...For me, peace of mind is worth the wait. Bravo, Tom!!! read more

I took my cars to Toms for over 10 years. Had nothing but trust for him. I took my car there 4 months ago. Ever since he opened the second place,care and personal touch went right out the window. I took my car in for a simple fix. Drove it home, the transmission went and the muffler was messed up.Nothing was wrong with them when I dropped it off. So I paid 400.00 for 1 item to be fixed got it back and had to junk it. Also, they had it 2 weeks, I went from a full tank of gas to 1/4 tank. Someone was joy riding in my vehicle and ruined my transmission. I was devastated. Having a good mechanic is like having a good family doctor. I will never go back there again.. read more
