When I first walked in I dealt with tall blondish guy named Vince. Very rude, ignorant and confrontational and questioned everything I was stating about my car. (Never had this experience before.) I switched to Service Manager Anthony and was treated w respect and was able to get my car checked in for service with Andi that I had scheduled with Store Manager Rich. (What bothered me was this Vince kept going back to Andi when he was working on my car.) After my car was done Rocko checked me out and was also respectful and explained everything to me. (I do not like that they do not send you the inspection paper work where it states how much tread is left on your tires or how much is left on your brake pads. I was told it was digital. I bought two tires from this location in 2023. I purchased the only tires they had available in the size required for my vehicle. I paid extra for the road hazard warranty. About a year and a half later a bubble appeared on the driver front tire. I went to another Firestone and had it replaced. For $70. About 6-8 months later bubble number two appeared on the other tire. I went in and asked for consideration since now both tires that I originally purchased have gotten bubbles in the side wall. The young man at the counter tried to convince me that it was my car that caused the bubble (wrong) and that bubbles are very common, (I've had 3 including the two on tires they sold me) then took a dig at the brand (suredrive) that THEY SOLD ME. I'm certain he tried this sort of foolery because I'm a woman. So gross. Add to that when I requested what sort of pricing they'd be offering me he refused stating he was unable to until I scheduled for later in the week and dropped it off. Was experiencing some troubles with my car (knew I for sure needed front brakes & a new headlight). They were able to accommodate me and see me the next day! Made an appointment online and the staff was a super friendly from when I walked in the door. They made sure to walk me through the process and gave me updates on my car as it was being worked on. Took my car here for an inspection/service because at highway speeds the car shook and felt unbalanced. I specifically asked them to test drive the car on the freeway. When they called after they finished working on the car they said they just balanced my wheels and did not test drive because they were too busy. Upon picking up my car I noticed the boost gauge was peaked at 19.2psi. I had my car protuned to not exceed 18psi. Before dropping my car off I reset the boost gauge to 0.0psi for reasons like this. They also failed to tell me that on the inspection there is apparently some type of fluid on my transmission, but was noted in the report. Which, why would they not let their customer know that? Unless perhaps they caused it? If you're a car enthusiast of any kind, do not take your car here. It is unacceptable for a mechanic to recklessly drive any customers car, no matter the make/model. **Update** The manager and I spoke. He admitted that his service tech was intentionally "beating" on my car on the test drive. His reasoning for this was that they are only required to take customer cars on test drives around the block, and not the highway. So, the technician took my car up Hilliard (35mph max zone), and brought it up to highway speeds within a short distance multiple times to replicate the issue. Which mind you, over the phone they told me they were "too busy" to test drive my car. It is unacceptable for any customers car to be illegally taken over the speed limit like that. I personally take very good care of my car and to have someone who's supposed to help fix my car intentionally beat on it that could cause more problems is a slap in the face and completely unprofessional. Also, Hilliard is right over by I90, they easily could have taken it on the freeway instead of abusing my car. I then proceeded to ask why I was never notified about the fluid residue that they noted on the paperwork but never told me upon payment. Again, no excuse to it. No further inspection was done. So, now I have to take it to another shop to pay for another inspection because they clearly did not follow through with what the actual issue is. Do not waste your money here. Hopefully corporate will get involved and squash this because this is very disappointing and not a good way to do business. read more

Had an appointment for an oil change - was later in the day so I the guy when I dropped it off would need it back tonight multiple times. . because obviously no one wants a 2 day oil change. Eventually I gave them a call 10 minutes before they closed at which point they decided they couldn't get it done today . . . So not sure why they even took the appointment. Incredibly happy with the service that I and my parents have gotten here over the years. This place is clean and very efficient. My dad swore by this place and years ago taking it my normal place told me I needed a ton of stuff on my Jeep I decided to come here and have take a look. I bought two tires from this place sometime in March or April. They hooked me up in short order. They replaced both of the rear tires. I went back in September to get the front tires done. After waiting several (3) hours even though I had an appointment, the guy came out and said 'I'm not comfortable with your rear tires, they are very worn down'. I said 'You just replaced them in March'. He looked dumbfounded and said 'Why are they so worn away'? I don't know what they were trying to pull or if they gave me crappy tires or what. I went to get my oil changed at another local place and when the guy came out he said 'Your front tires are fine but your rear tires are very choppy and I don't want to rotate them'. This is coming from a place that does not replace or sell tires so I know he wasn't trying to up-sell me. So for the second time in less than a year I am going to buy 4 new tires for my car. Rocky River location is terrible now due to there new employees. I have had 3 appointments here car being held for over a hour. Each time im told i will receive a phone call when they receive the part so i call and go up there just to be told no we never got the part weeks past no phone call no part. After purchasing 4 new Firestone tires from my local garage and not being able to balance them properly I came to Rocky River Firestone for help. They found that one of my new tires was faulty and could not be balanced. The bad tire was replaced for free under warranty and all tires were rebalanced. It's not that I think Firestone put a nail on my tire when I went in for a tire rotation and oil change, but I did have one in there the next time I went to drive my car. And it just happened to be in a location they couldn't patch so I had to buy a whole new tire. I know, it's just cynical that they would ever do that. Right? I used to like this place because of the tall African American guy who was in the military (I'm sorry, I forgot his name) who would work the front desk. He was always so helpful. That all ended the day we got a nail in one of our tires and we started losing air fast. We were near Firestone and we had bought our tires there and they are still under warranty so we stopped by even though it was late in the day. We were told they had too many vehicles in line and it was getting late and asked us to come back the next day. Gee, thanks for helping out a customer in need! Also, in my opinion, their work and/or the parts they use are questionable. I had front end work done in September 2015 and the part already went bad. But of course it had to break right after the warranty ended. You would think repair work would last more than 21 months!! But that's ok, another shop that sometimes fixes my cars fixed it for me today.... for $100 less than what Firestone charged me! read more

After an appointment mishap across the street at Conrads, I decided to try Firestone. I got right in and was out within an hour for an oil change. I have had nothing but positive experiences at this Firestone. In fact, I moved to southern Ohio last year and I put off all our maintenance and tires until the next time I am visiting family in Cleveland. I usually deal with Mike. He is straight forward and low pressure. I have purchased tires for my truck and got a great price. I have yet to find a price that beats the price I got at Firestone. I have dealt with Sonny as well and he was extremely helpful. On the whole, the customer service is the best I have experienced in the auto repair world and I have never had a complaint about the work done. The service prices are reasonable too. On 12/15/17 I purchased 4 new tires and a wheel alignment for my car at store #14796. I had previously paid other Firestone stores for services with a check. The North Olmsted Store was unable to accept a check because their machine was not working. This was not mentioned to me when I talked with them on the phone prior to dropping my car off, nor was it mentioned at the time I left them with my car. I came back to pick my car up, and was treated like a criminal because I had to write a check since I did not have my credit card with me. I had to leave them with my check and drivers license in order to get my car back from them. I called them the next day (a Saturday) with my credit card information, but had to spend the weekend sans license until I was able to get back to the store the following Monday. Were the tires decent? Yes. I have no reason to believe the technicians were not well trained. My problem is with the managers of the store who did no leave their team members with clear and concise instructions on how to handle payment with a check, and then would NOT answer their phones when the employees tried calling them for instructions. Instead of walking out of the store feeling confident and positive about my almost $800 purchase, I left feeling stressed and demeaned, as though I had actually been trying to pass a bad check. read more
