Finally, I went to the establishment, and I liked its look and feel. The staff, while not overly friendly, acknowledged me. The bar was clean, and the drink and beer options were good. Some of the food items worth mentioning: the double Smash is solid and worthy if you want one of their more "plainer" burgers. The Defibrillator is really, really good! This burger is a lot of food, and unless you are under 25 and a glutton, I'd share this one. It is about 2/3 lbs of burger. The other part of the equation for this burger is that it has chicken fried bacon in it. Batter-fried bacon? Who'd have thunk? I didn't look, but if this is not on the appetizer menu, it should be. Cheese curds are solid and best eaten hot...of course The beer menu is OK. you will get a few stalwart craft breweries intermixed with your standard corporate beers.

When we arrived, we were told the wait was 25-30 minutes, so we opted to sit at the bar instead and the bar wasn't busy at all. Thank goodness the barstools were comfortable, because with the long wait and slow service, at least we were sitting comfortably. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Our bartender, Chloe, was disengaged and inattentive throughout our visit. She forgot one of our drinks and seemed far more interested in chatting with a friend sitting at the bar than taking care of her actual customers. The floors were covered in trash and food, which didn't exactly inspire confidence in the kitchen. As for the food, my husband's smash burger and fries were decent -- the one bright spot of the evening. My wings, however, were awful. The fat wasn't rendered at all, leaving them slimy and unappetizing. For a place with "burger" in the name, I'd expect them to at least nail the basics on the rest of the menu. Between the filthy floors, the poor service, and the undercooked wings, we won't be back.

Kind of torn on this review…read more Grounded has a great patio and well-priced drinks. I just would say I haven't been super impressed by their drinks. I tend to prefer places that make some of their own syrups, etc. and from what I can tell, Grounded doesn't really do much from scratch, which is fine, just not my preference. Their drinks are usually good. I was kind of disappointed to see their even their seasonal specialty drink was not a homemade syrup. My biggest complaint is their cold brew is super weak/too watered down. Service is usually okay, cleanliness is usually okay as well. I do love their expanded hours, so we do stop here when others are closed.

Back then, it was our little ritual, cozy mornings with warm drinks and big feelings, just the two of us figuring out a new chapter one sip at a time. She'd order something with way too much whipped cream, and I'd pretend I wasn't tearing up over how grown-up she looked holding her cocoa. Now? We still go, only these days, she brings her friends, and I'm just along for the ride, and maybe to pay. It's gone from quiet catch-ups to full-blown coffee shop photo shoots with her crew. And honestly? The lighting in there gets it. The huge windows, the plants, the downtown charm, it's practically begging for cute, candid best friend pics and "caught laughing but obviously posed" moments. The vibe is warm, welcoming, a little artsy, and always buzzing in the best way. Whether we're talking about life, school, crushes, or just sitting in that comfortable silence that only comes with time, Grounded feels like home. A beautiful, caffeinated home with oat milk options and the occasional scone we swear we're splitting, but somehow I never get half. Grounded isn't just a coffee shop to us. It's a memory maker, a tradition keeper, a growing-up landmark in latte form.

All three of us (the Mrs, my Aunt, and myself) ordered the Biertgarten Smashburgers and we split an order of the Cheese Curds. The burgers were two 4oz chuck/brisket patties, fried onion, American cheese, lettuce, pickles, and Smash Sauce served on a toasted brioche bun and is FANTASTIC! Have plenty of napkins at your disposal as the flavor oozes from this burger! The hand-cut fries are a great side and very good too (I had to add some salt to put them over the top)...the Cheese Curds made it a trifecta...they were outstanding as well, crispy coating and melt in your mouth cheesyness! The servers were very helpful and ready to help out at a moments notice. Dixie's Biertgarten Smashburger has moved on to my Top 5 Burgers I've Ever Had list... It was around 3 in the afternoon and the place was packed (casual atmosphere and some sports on the big screens) so you may have to wait for a seat...there is some outdoor seating but it was raining today but FYI....it's definitely worth the time so be patient!

To my delight there was not and arriving shortly after 2:00 I had the joint to myself!! Allowing me to chat up friendly beertender Niki! She was so fun to talk to beer and breweries about. I liked their beer selection; not too much, not too little, just a good enough selection to reach any palate. I loved when I got up to take a picture and discovered an old cigarette vending machine. In the other room is a vintage motorcycle, vintage a hammerschlagen stump and a plethora of randomness sure to spark your nostalgia. It was a perfect afternoon for the two garage doors open. A cute chubby cat may pop on to the bar, I didn't have time to pet them as in my talking w my hands flailing I slapped the bar and they weren't sticking around for my antics. I really liked the welcoming and calm vibe of Beer Shop, the delightful, friendly service, and he beer selection. There is just a small parking lot off to the west but I think there may be street parking off to the east. Thanks Beer Shop for an absolutely wonderful inaugural visit, cheers.
