This is about the restaurant..which is great..when it's open. The food is well done and generous although the selections are limited. When pizza is available it has been outstanding until earlier this season. When it's open,it is always a fun and friendly experience. However, the website needs to be maintained regularly to keep patrons informed about hours and daily availability. read more

Really enjoyed our stay at Driftwaters. We rented Cabin 1 & 2 (ours had a bathroom, frig, microwave, TV, and coffee maker). There is a shower house for campers and RVers that was very clean, laundry facility (coin machines) and office with a few supplies. The management was extremely helpful. This is a no-frills resort offering a good value. The restaurant (different owners from resort) was great to have on site. We also used Yellowstone Hiking Guides for two hikes - Geyser & Canyon. Their offices are next to the resort. Spectacular views with relaxing charm. read more

This place is a horrible place to stay. Save your money and park at the rest stop up the road. The bathrooms are disgusting, and there are cars abandoned everywhere. Staff is nonexistent, and when you do get ahold of someone. They say stay somewhere else, good luck and hangup. read more

This place was great. We stayed here for 6 days while traversing Yellowstone's Western entrance. About a 30 minute drive to West Yellowstone where there was plenty of places to eat and Diesel for the truck. At first glance you may think this place a bit rugged, but it's was quickly replaced with the notion that these people care about their business. There was a note on the door to the office welcoming us and letting us know which plot was ours. They were out of the office until later that evening and came by first thing to greet us. Full hookups with WiFi available made the stay nice. Very clean bathrooms and showers were available as well. It was early in the season (we were the first campers of the season) and the office/shop wasn't stocked just yet so I can't comment on the selections there. The plots are nicely defined and easy to pull through. I believe there were a few back in a as well, but plenty of room to work with for the big rigs if needed. If we find ourselves back around that area, we will definitely be putting in reservations with them again. read more

Driftwaters is a great place to stay. I have stayed at other places in the area and Driftwaters is the best. We have been staying here every year for the last seven years. I plan on staying here if the future. Rooms are clean and Rachel is the amazing. She always goes out of here way to ensure that our stay is good. Larry read more

Great food, great staff. Clean amazing bathrooms...Taj Mahal, really! We were Transamerica cyclist so anyone welcoming with clean bathrooms and cold beers we love, and you will too. Met amazing cowboys, and conversations I'm still trying to decipher. Had great fun, great facility. Highly recommended read more

My dad and I fished the Madison for a week and Driftwaters was our go to dinner place. The burgers were awesome, but were surpassed by a mile by the pizza. It was instantly one of the best pizzas I'd had in years. They did not skimp on the toppings; there were layers upon layers. I'd come back and visit to have the pizza as much as to catch the Madison's monster browns. read more

My wife and I stayed here in early June, for a couple nights. One of the best (tent) camping experiences that we had, all summer. Very clean, very affordable, and most of all, very friendly! The shower rooms/restrooms are super clean and have everything that you need. The office/store has most of the items that you'd expect. The Driftwood restaurant and bar has GREAT food at a really great price. A few more trees would be nice, but overall wouldn't have improved our experience. The view is wonderful (expected in MT). Rachel (the owner) was very helpful, and let us know about a few "gems" to see, while in the area. read more

REVIEW OF RESTAURANT ONLY: We went for dinner on a Monday night. We walked in to see a sign that said basically "we only have burgers". We had heard the pizza was amazing by a friend, and that's what we had come for. We were told the pizza chef was sick so we couldn't have it tonight. Okay, that's fine. Burgers it is. We had to laugh over the comedy that took place. The very friendly waitress said she would have to check to see if they had any side salads to go with our burgers. She came back and said yes. Also we could choose fries or sweet potato fries. We ordered 4 burgers, 1 side salad, 1 fries and 2 sweet potato fries. 45 min later we were told our food was coming. Now an hour into our visit, she came and said, "I'm sorry, we are out of regular fries, would sweet potato fries be okay?" My friend said yes. 30 minutes later our food arrived, we all had Tater Tots! She said, "I'm sorry we are all out of sweet potato fries." The burgers were good when they finally arrived. It was disorganized and the staff seemed to be newbies at running a restaurant. They were all very sweet about it, and we did get fed. Not likely we would come back this year though. They need to work out some kinks and order more food during the busy season. read more

This is a review on their restaurant. Last year it seemed that they had difficulties retaining their cooks. This year, they hired a really nice guy as their pizza chef. I have enjoyed their pizzas the several times that I have visited. My friends also thought the pizzas are good. The pizza chef makes the dough and makes his own sauce. I had a burger on one visit and I thought was very good. They have limited outdoor seating with an incredible view of the Madison Range! It is getting to be a pretty popular place, so go early so you can get out to enjoy the evening fishing! read more

This was my first visit to Driftwaters Resort! We stayed in our camper and had such a good time! The bathrooms were very clean and spacious and the laundry facility was also nice! There is quite a bit of nice green grass around each camper space which I thought was nice. The restaurant had excellent food and was affordable. The owners are very nice and we enjoyed the live music! read more

We have traveled from SC to Montana and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. The owner is unbelievable and the restaurant in the camp ground is outstanding. Highly recommend this entire place. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled in, the last time I had been to this place was several years ago and it was a dive bar where you grabbed a beer after fishing. My how times have changed. It's still casual, but more upscale casual. The chef is really trying to do something special here and it shows. Menu is upscale comfort food. The mac & cheese with the fried chicken was otherworldly. Burger was one of the best I've ever had as well. All fresh local ingredients. Great beer selection, nice staff. Very clean and tidy. It's going to start taking some business away from the Grizzly Bar for sure. read more
