Stayed here for 3 nights while we visited Yellowstone National Park. Realistically, it is a 25/30 min drive to town (West Yellowstone). There's a section on the road where there were a group of bison so we were going below the speed limit since they wandered onto the road often. The room itself was modern and adequate but had some flaws. The shower door only opens on one side and not where the handle is so in order to turn on the water you have to get into the shower and get sprayed with cold water. Hot water ran out, even with the 3 of us spacing our showers. There is a little deck/patio area which didn't have any chairs until the last day we were there. It would have been nice if they put the chairs out when we had arrived. During check in, it was noted that there was no housekeeping (annoying since we were staying 3 nights) but that we could text the number and let them know what we needed. I texted that number for more garbage bags and was ghosted - no response at all.

Very bad experience! I got bitten by bed bugs, and the owner refused to admit their responsibility and blamed me bringing the bugs with me! Not recommended this cabins.

Terra Nova is more of an upscale sort of cabin rental grouping next to Hebgen Lake. Everything is modern mountain nice. Almost chic. Beds very comfortable, microwave, tea pot, fridge for that after hike bottle of wine or beer. Has it all except air conditioning, really don't need it. West Yellowstone city 15 miles but the store on the property has nice choices for an in-room quick meal. Marina across street with ramps and a ferry to the other side. Staff awesome! Will stay here again.

Very cute cabins and seemed to be clean until I seen the bottom of my feet. Someone skipped out on mopping for sure. Also, there was cigar wrappers in the cabin that could have been cleaned up. Other than the cleaning crew slacking, the only thing missing was an iron and ironing board.

The cabins are gorgeous! I love the aesthetic inside and out. Really nice bathrooms with spacious shower. Almost everything you need inside: microwave, counter space, clothing storage, luggage stands, comfy beds with quality bedding, private bath. Each unit has a tiny porch, and looks like there's two units per structure. The cons: walls are quite thin, so you can hear every sound of someone using the bathroom; there's a door that goes between the units and this has a large gap under the door, which leads me to believe that if that unit were also occupied (thankfully it wasn't during our stay) they would be able to hear everything we do/say and same for us of them. There's only room to park 2 vehicles in front of a unit, and it's a tight squeeze. There's no table to eat on, but you can store food and prepare a meal (there's a mini fridge and a microwave). There's 2 chairs that can be used on the porch or in the room. Would be great to have a small table. The property is still being developed - this is not a negative. Just a heads up, it's mostly smoothed out gravel where you drive and in front of the units. Everything else is tall grass/wild plants and not really walkable. There is a small market with gas available on the property but they have a limited selection of items. My husband said "it's mostly cigarettes and beer". We were traveling with our 7 year old daughter and the nearest town is West Yellowstone, about a 25 min drive. We didn't put a ton of effort into finding anything closer, as we were only here for 3 nights. It would be nice if there was at least a few basic things - cereal and milk, maybe some frozen items (as there's a microwave and fridge in the room), perhaps some local baked goods... just an idea. Overall, very pleasant stay. We would definitely come back and I highly recommend this place!

Highly, highly recommend. My friend and I are going on a road trip through Montana and we found this place so clean, welcoming, gorgeous and most importantly safe. Hard to believe but the cabins are even nicer than the photos and so reasonably priced. The owner is incredible and went out of her way to help us when we locked ourselves out in the middle of the night, she is awesome. If you're thinking about coming here definitely stay at the Terra Nova!!

The room was spacious, having a side table for us to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. The restaurant where the breakfast was served was a cozy room with a nice Western vibe. Good country music played in the background. Breakfast was your basic kind of hotel food-I did like the variety of cold items like the yogurt selection and the cereal selection. The lobby served coffee, hot apple cider, and hot cocoa with marshmallows which was nice after our long tour of Yellowstone National Park. The lobby of the hotel was nicely decorated for the Fall with a beautiful Fall themed Christmas Tree. The pool and hot tub were nice and spacious and they had a water slide which was fast, but fun. A plus was it was located in the end of town so it was nice and quiet. Quick 5-7 minute walk to the center of town. Only minor dislikes were the shower where there were no grab bars and that the TV didn't work so well. Someone came in to fix it though. The tub also clogged with water during showers. Would recommend! Thank you for a great stay!

We booked the 2-room unit in the motel (a king bed in one room and two queens in the other). When we got to our room we were initially concerned about noise because it was along a high-traffic corridor for guests heading to the restaurant and main lobby. As it turned out, this wasn't an issue at all. The positives: - very convenient to the west entrance of Yellowstone - just drive down the street and you're there - short walk to all the restaurants and shops, though probably every other hotel in town is also a short distance away - super friendly front desk staff, easy to reach with questions - free cookies in the lobby (and they are delicious!) - very good breakfast buffet with hot items that changes a bit every day The less positive: - the rooms and furnishings are very dated, but clean - not enough seating for everyone - just a couple small arm chairs and a desk chair - the toilet/bathtub room is a little cramped, and the shower head is low so taller people will have to stoop - air conditioning was temperamental. We figured it out eventually but the first night was a little uncomfortable - bath amenities were a little spartan. A fresh bar of soap for the shower wasn't provided for our stay. It would be nice to have a separate conditioner because the shampoo/conditioner option wasn't all that great The cost of our three-night stay, with breakfast included, was about $1000. Given that we were there in the summer season just before the end of the school break, it wasn't entirely unexpected, plus we had two rooms and three large beds total. It was worth it.

The cabins were comfortable in size, extremely clean, and very well set up for a Yellowstone trip. The kitchenette was especially useful for us, and having a dishwasher was a great bonus. The location really could not be beat -- it was very close to the West Yellowstone entrance, which helped us avoid a lot of traffic and made it easy to structure our days in the park. We were able to see the upper part of Yellowstone one day, the lower part another day, and then use the rest of our time to revisit and explore the places we wanted to see more deeply. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience. Another nice touch was the fire pits, which they turned on around 5 p.m. each evening. It was a fun and relaxed way to meet some of the other people staying at the cabins. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Comfortable cabins, a great location, friendly staff, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The cabin itself is pretty new, so everything was clean and in working order. The location is very close to the west entrance to the park, and is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. The kitchen had plenty of plates, silverware, pots and pans, etc. I was especially impressed with the quality of the pots and pans, very nice for a rental. The cabin also has a full sized washer and dryer, which was very convenient. The WIFI was available, but I have to say it is not very fast. Considering the location, this was not too surprising. There were no problems with billing, or unexpected charges. Overall a great choice for a large party, I highly recommend this location!
