The atmosphere is very friendly and warm. I had a chai tea latte which was delicious and would love to try more. It was the perfect spot to do my homework. Its not quiet but I prefer to work with life going on around me. Plenty of places to sit, either a table, couch or bar seating. read more

It is a gorgeous location with a very chill atmosphere in the heart of St Pete Arts District. They allow pets inside and outside as long as they are well behaved which came as a huge advantage for us since we were traveling with our puppy. I also tried the KAVA roots after many years and it was very good, I think is a very curious thing to have in the menu and I encourage anyone to try it, the coffees had more milk than actual coffee but the food was well prepared and the fruits in the acai bowl were fresh even though a bit frozen in the middle. Cute new roastery/coffee shop in Seminole! My husband and I came in on a Sunday morning. We love the decor inside and there are lots of comfy seating areas. I ordered the iced mocha with oat milk and my husband ordered the cole brew. They were both very tasty! They also have a bunch of pastries/baked goods available, as well as teas and kava. This is a great addition to the Seminole area and close to home, so we'll definitely return! read more

I've recently been targeted by the owner of this coffee shop for not "fitting in " to his profile of a good customer. First he says I smell, so I make it a habit of showering and having on clean clothes, then he says I have to buy something, so I make a purchase everytime I enter. I stay to myself and don't interact with other customers. Now his complaint is that I only buy a bag of chips!! NOBODY else has had a complaint. He sees me as "homeless" at least what is homeless in his mind. I may not spend 30 bucks a day on coffee or have weird clothes on or a nose ring, whatever. I just hope his "customers" see that all they are to him is a cash cow!! I may not drive a BMW or have alot of money to throw around but I AM what you'd want a customer to be. One who makes a purchase, is respectful of others around him, and peacefully quet!! UNBELIEVABLE that there are STILL such SNOBS around in this day and age!! This is the ONLY place I've EVER had this kind of attitude put unto me!! Nice workers, nice customers but BAD owner!!! read more

Yikes, this is a truly awful place for coffee. Absolutely no foaming of the milk and over-roasted burnt bean flavor in the espresso. My husband said his tasted like gas station latte. The vibe in there was chill, very relaxed and people hanging out enjoying their kava mostly, it appeared, so probably that's the strong suit. Arabica was definitely definitely not it. read more

I was recommended to Driftwood kava and Roastery by some fellow coworkers as a work at the neighboring pizzeria called Brooklyn Pizza. Upon entering I was greeted by one of the most warmest faces I saw all day named GIgi. Later to find that Gigi was the manager and the baker of the Driftwood. We exchanged pleasantries and she introduced me to her staff one of the time. First was Antonio a young gentleman with knowledge of the Kava in Kratom. There was Savannah who was the master roster that was well educated on all of the organic coffee beans that she would roast in 5 pound increments. She gave me a small tour of the process of how driftwood roast their coffee to perfection. Forgive me for not remembering the other barista but she had decent knowledge of the tees. I can best describe her by her having a Harley Quinn tattoo on her arm. For the 15 minutes I was there I ordered a strawberry shortcake cheesecake, Kratom to go for a family member, well I enjoyed one of the best double espresso's that I've had since my father had his coffee company in Atlantic City. They shared with me the camaraderie amongst the guests and on Sunday and Monday were the nights to come as there was game night and karaoke I believe on Sunday which I'm looking forward to going to! As much as I hate talking about it, Driftwood Roastery is extremely Covid careful. The restaurant and bar area are super clean and sanitary. All employees had masks. All of the uniforms were impeccable and each of their individual personalities was contagious as I was brought into each conversation. Gigi thank you for the Death By Chocolate! Went there for first time today. Barista was friendly, but another patron whose dog was incessantly barking responded very rudely when I told her, after about 30 minutes, that her dog was making it hard for me and my friend to enjoy our coffee and chat. She chewed me out as if I were the rude one, said she would have left if I was nice about it but that because I wasn't, she was going to stay (and spite me). Then she told me she was a daily regular there, that they didn't want my business, and that I should leave (as if it were her right to say so). The barista did nothing, and the woman and her barking dog stayed a while longer. I felt very unwelcome, attacked, and unsupported. I will not return or recommend Driftwood Kava. read more

Was a daily faithful customer for over 2 years, but will no longer go (and haven't for about 7 months). On an occasion getting a coffee, in conversation an employee started making insulting statements about prior customers and saying it was because they were Catholic, to which I mentioned offense. Next time I go there, she refused to serve me, yelling at another employee to take over while pointing at me, saying "I'm not serving him!" at least 4 times. Having a business card, I messaged the owner. In response a few days later, instead of a simple apology which have made everything square, in response I get a message scolding me for bringing the issue up, defending the employee, and saying to just move forward. As a result, I immediately stopped going. A few months later, I receive a paper gift certificate from my sister, which I thought should be refunded to her since I was chased away as a customer. Owner refused, so basically comes off like a bully and a thief as this point. Enjoy that money that was swiped from my sister. read more
