Great coffee at Cafe Vino Tinto!! We stopped her later in the afternoon this Saturday for a quick pick me up. They have a walk up window to order from and a cute outside patio to sit. It was covered and very nice with all the shade and plants. They do also have an inside area as well. They have tons of syrup options for your coffee and some signatures. I got the Posies Latte which was inspired by the posies flower truck so it had a very orange and floral forward flavor. Super good! Very nice drinks and breakfast dishes. There's a good reason the line is always there! Fun seasonal options and fresh food choices all the time. Flavored drinks are not overly sweet like the chain places. My only wish is they had soy milk. Almond milk is watery and oat milk a little oily/thick. Please consider some soy milk. read more

Stopped by Cafe Vino Tinto back in August and had a great experience! I wish I would've gotten more pictures of the covered patio space because it was gorgeous and comfortable even in the middle of summer in Florida! A friend and I shared the Mediterranean Frittata and the Cornbread Waffles and omg, they were both SO good! The waffles were absolutely my favorite and such a generous portion that I took a quarter of it home with me (and ate it for lunch ). The frittata was also delicious, and nice that it came with a little extra serving of salad/veggies on the side. I also got an iced latte, which hit the spot on a hot August day! Cafe Vino Tinto also does specialty and seasonal drinks and has a little bakery case in their front window where you order. There is inside seating/dining space and the huge shady patio on the side. Oh how I have been craving a visit here and finally got the chance to stop by and try their seasonal Banana Fosters Latte. If you've never been here, it's definitely worth a stop inside is very beautiful rustic coffee themed in the outside has a beautiful seating area. No, when I went to the window, I only insisted on getting the coffee, but of course I reminisce on the Keylime waffles so I definitely had to get those and we also tried the berry waffles as well . Now I appreciate these ladies very much because I know that they were closing in 30 minutes, but I have to say everything was amazing from the banana fosters latte good strong banana flavor with a hint of alcohol in the end . Since discovering Cafe Vino Tinto two years ago, I've recommended it to everyone I know. I regularly called it one of my favorite coffee shops in the Tampa area and have spent a lot of money here. After today, I won't be returning. My sister and I brought our dog and sat on the patio, believing that was allowed. We brought him one other time without issue, and every single time we've visited, there have been other large dogs on the patio as well. The cafe keeps water bowls on the patio for dogs, baristas have interacted with and given treats to our dog, and we specifically checked online beforehand to confirm they were dog-friendly. We have never brought him inside, but have always stayed outside with him. Today, another dog walked through the patio and our dog barked unexpectedly. It caused a brief commotion, and we fully take responsibility for that. My sister immediately got him under control, and thankfully there was no physical contact between the two dogs. Right away, a woman (not an employee) approached us and demanded that we leave. She insisted dogs weren't allowed and when I told her that they were, she went to complain to staff. What happened next was really upsetting. A man who appeared to be the manager or owner (he never introduced himself) came outside and loudly kicked us out in front of the entire patio without asking a single question about what happened. We had food and drinks on our table and were treated as if we had intentionally caused a problem. Instead of handling the situation calmly, professionally, or respectfully, he immediately took someone else's word and escalated it. He stated that dogs were not allowed at the cafe, but when my sister apologized and tried to explain our confusion around the dog policy as we were getting up to leave, he responded in a sharp, dismissive tone before walking away. The issue is not that we were asked to leave. If someone had calmly explained that our dog's behavior made people feel unsafe and we needed to remove him, I would have completely understood. The issue is how we were spoken to. It was especially upsetting that we were singled out in a space where we had repeatedly seen other dogs -- including large ones -- welcomed. Maybe there's an explanation for that difference in treatment, but the way the situation played out left us feeling deeply uncomfortable. Again, I understand why they may have wanted us to leave. But I'm upset by the way they told us to leave, especially as customers who have frequented this spot countless times. It's really disappointing because the baristas have always been nice, but no coffee shop is worth being publicly humiliated by management. There are plenty of other shops in the Tampa area with great drinks and management that knows how to treat customers with respect. I'd recommend supporting those instead. read more

It's a local shop in one of the best towns in Pinellas County, great for walking around. Service was great. But what truly impressed me, and I just ordered a simple iced coffee, nothing more. They use coffee ice cubes so in their iced coffee so that your coffee is not diluted while cooling down! That's phenomenal, such a small detail that goes such a long way. I now have a new standard for iced coffee. It's hard anymore to find places that are in business for more reasons than just making money. read more

We come for the waffles and while there is a seasonal menu we haven't been able to move past the regular offerings: our favorites include the banana maple pecan waffle and the Tiramisu waffle. We were seated here for only a couple hours and purchased almost $30 worth of food. One gal was sent over to the table several times and tried to pick up our plates, while there was still food on them!! The sauces on the side were very good! For drinks, we ordered the drip coffee, latte, and a macchiato. I enjoyed my latte- perfect ratio of coffee to milk for me. My husband got the other two and liked them as well. The service was quick and pleasant. They are always both fluffy and crisp, and I adore how they have seasonal specials (for both waffles and coffee!) The guava cream cheese waffle is a blissful taste of the tropics, and my favorite. I'll be dreaming of this when I go back to Kansas for sure. Savory lovers, don't fret! The frittatas are equally if not more impressive than the waffles, with generous portions, two filling options, and fresh delicious sides of berries, greens, and a savory puff pastry. Not to mention the amazing sauces. The pastries and protein bars/truffles are always on point, filling and tasty af. The only food I don't really care for is the breakfast burrito - I would LOVE to see a vegetarian or vegan option for that. Outdoor covered area is not dog friendly but it a nice shady place for work tho not enough outlets. There's a gravel area with trees and we enjoyed shade in the morning hours. You have to order at a window and lucky they have 2 windows because there was a line. The food menu is pretty limited with waffles and omelettes but they don't disappoint. To start, this is a beautiful cafe in the heart of downtown Safety Harbor. The indoor areas are well appointed and inviting (not to mention air conditioned for the summer!) and the outdoor areas have a good amount of seating and fans that circulate the air sufficiently while not blowing you or your things away. The coffee is mid-tier, definitely better than the chain stores or most of the places that dabble and have different sized cappuccinos or lattes that aren't representative of the real drink, but not to the level of the top coffee shops in the area. Still, this is the best you'll find in Safety Harbor. Sadly, we've been uninspired by their pastry choices and their breakfasts are not our speed so we often leave here hungry. The lines can be quite unmanageable on weekends too, leading to the sidewalk being blocked and a tight squeeze overall. There's a second order window, but it's not consistently open while busy and it is a bit hidden. Further crowd control measures would be nice -- maybe indoor ordering? read more

Why 5 stars? It is the GO TO place for coffee and brunch in the Safety Harbor downtown area period. Beautiful restored building and friendly staff. Love the walk up window and outdoor seating as well! I've been supporting Cafe Vino Tinto since they opened their first location (it was literally just a window) a few blocks West of the current location. I've bought coffee here through the pandemic, and continue to enjoy what they have to offer. I just can't believe it's been this long since I actually reviewed them!! Cafe Vino Tinto reminds me of a cross between old vs. new. They provide a small-town smile and friendliness to every order, and it is met with fantastic coffee, and great food as well but also cater to the needs of newer things like brunch fun, etc. Did I tell you sometimes they offer 2-for specials on Mimosas? With Brunch? Oh yes...sign me up for that day drinking as well during the weekends! I recommend the Mediterranean Frittata if you're on the more healthy side of eating or splurge for one of their famous waffles if you're not. If you want to only feel half-guilty, you could order a Frittata and your significant other or friend could order the waffles and you can split them... I mean, you CAN have your waffles and frittata too if that's your thing. As far as coffee goes, I'm more of a lavender latte type of person (hot or cold is great!) or just straight up cappuccino OR if I'm on the go, I'll grab an ice coffee, but it is all very fresh as the beans come from their family farm in Costa Rica.
