Their hours? Who knows what this means.
    Lauren S.

Their hours are listed on their store front, but looks like the hours are crossed out? Very confusing. I called and no one answered. Their hours were not listed online, but we went on a Saturday around noon and they weren't open. Sounds like others have had this same issue. The business needs to post their actual hours and be open during them. Lots of people are wanting to support this business and go out of their way to do this and are then let down.

I read about Hogg Batch in an article about black-owned businesses in St Pete and I knew I had to try it out. Upon walking in during my initial visit, I immediately saw a bag of Coffee & Whiskey whole beans and I knew this place was right up my alley. Henceforth, my Sunday routine will be yoga, then coffee! So far, my go to drink is the Old Fashioned Latte. It's creamy perfection! I enjoyed every sip!

This place is wonderful! We stopped by to try this interesting based coffee on a Saturday afternoon. The lovely person at the store was very informative and explained the process that goes into making the beans. We had the pleasure of having coffee that was in a St Pete distillery barrel of whiskey (can you be anymore local?!). Dria (I think that was her name) recommended the latte for us but that's too light for me so instead she made me a darker option - with half espresso half milk. It was delicious! My friend did have the latte, which came with oat milk and a old fashioned syrup. It was also good but too sweet for me. I highly recommend this place! Although a little expensive, it's worth it.

Two bags of Hogg Batch, one soaked in Jamaican Rum one in Gin (I sent that one to my aunt in PA).

The Hogg Brothers, Duane and David, are two brothers that reside in St. Pete. They started roasting coffee as a hobby. After coming across the idea of barrel aging coffee beans in alcohol containers (David saw this in a gift shop in Tennessee) the brothers decided to bring something like that to Florida. Hogg Batch Coffee have experimented with aging beans in Jamaican Rum, Gin, Whiskey and Bourbon amongst other alcohols. After aging in the alcohol barrel, the beans are then roasted, packaged and shipped out in the mail. You can order the beans in half pound or one pound bags. Prices range from 20-36 dollars per bag. To date, I've only tried the Jamaican Rum (although I have the Whiskey Beans on order). The beans definitely smelled boozy everytime I opened the bag. The resulting cup of coffee was smooth with just a hint rum. If you are a coffee and/or alcohol fan, might I suggest finding something you like from the Hogg Batch online store and ordering it for your home coffee bar. It was such a fun remix to my typical morning coffee.

We stopped by this weekend while walking down Central. I had heard about this barrel aged small batch coffee roaster and had to check it out. It's a small shop that offers a few varieties of their barrel aged roasts. We decided to try a bourbon barrel latte with oat milk. The gentleman that helped us was very nice. The coffee was outstanding. You could definitely identify the bourbon character, but it wasn't overpowering. Really exceptional flavor. We will definitely be back again soon to try out some of their other offerings.

I decided to stop by here on support small business Saturday. Also when I get the opportunity I definitely want to help support minority businesses. I came across this shop through the Yelp Tampa Bay on Instagram when they featured them. I am an avid coffee lover and I thought it was very interesting that they would fuse their coffee with Liquors. The owners of this establishment were very nice and I really appreciated the fact that they were open when I was about 5 minutes late. They even gave me a few samples to try before deciding which coffee I wanted to buy. The store is cute and it's in very popular part of st. Pete so you should definitely walk by there if you have the chance. I finally got a chance today to grind up the coffee and give it a go. I purchased the coffee and rum half pound. I will warn that the price definitely threw me off so this is definitely a coffee that I would purchase what I want to splurge but I can truthfully admit about myself I don't spend a lot on coffee in the first place. I'm the girl that gets the buy one get one at the grocery stores or I go to the local Home Goods or TJ Maxx and get the coffees that are on sale hahaha. The coffee was a new experience for me as I've never really mixed Liquors with coffee so you can definitely taste the hands of the rum. At first it was a little strong for me but over time finishing my cup it became a nice Smokey, subtle flavor. Definitely a good interesting experience for me. I definitely feel that any coffee lovers should give this place a chance and try some of their infused copies. I definitely feel that the owners are very creative and their product and I sincerely wish them the best of luck in expanding their brand. Definitely a great place to come by and check out.

I'd like to do coffee bean flights as I'm searching for a few new favorite coffee beans to use in my new espresso machine. Do they offer coffee tastings?

So bummed this…read moreplace will only be open through end of March because it's super special and you can really tell how high quality everything is. Seasonal: Yuzu sake cream (sake barrel aged cold brew, house-made yuzu syrup, milk) - least favorite of the day, just don't think yuzu is for me! Toasted vanilla latte (cognac barrel aged espresso, house-made vanilla syrup, milk) - for someone who orders vanilla in nearly every coffee when house-made syrups are available, this was a fantastic vanilla latte. Vanilla is my control group and this was top-tier!!! I really tasted the "toasted" vanilla too! Signature: gold shakerato (cognac-aged double espresso, water, cane syrup, shaken) - I knew this would be my favorite of the day, from the presentation to the taste. I love a shaken espresso and this is just so elevated and special!!! sparkling espresso spritz (cognac aged espresso, sparkling water, cane syrup) - was super excited to try this and it blew me away. Sparkling coffee is where it's at!!!! Regretting not getting the name of the lovely woman behind the bar, but she was super helpful and friendly! Also love all the seating options between indoor and on the rooftop.

I was not sure what to order but the bartender gave me a couple suggestions. I ended up with a version of an espresso martini, it was fun to try a different version. We also chatted up a beverage another customer loved, a canned drink. Love this spot. I need to try a couple other beverages soon

Their black coffee was fantastic, not too bitter dark but not so light that it felt like I was drinking water. My travel mate also had great things to say about their cappuccino. I wish they had a medium size instead of just small or large, but oh well. One morning we tried their egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. It was not great, a bit salty, but at the time it hit the spot and it was good enough so I was grateful for it. Not my favorite, but would have no problem eating it again if it were presented to me. I also loved being able to sit out at one of their little patio tables and enjoy the Florida sun! Everyone there was super nice, and was very obliging to adding a few little ice cubes to my coffee when it was too hot and I just wanted to chug it. Thank you, Kahwa, for quite literally fueling my Florida visit.
