    Really enjoyed our stay here!
    Barrett O.

A hidden gem indeed, not only because it's a quaint Florida motel that reminds me of all the FL trips I took as a kid with my folks. Hidden is a n operative word as you will not find them on hotels.com, Expedia, etc. but apparently rely on word of mouth, social media, etc and that seems to be working quite well because they seem to be well booked year-round. This place is a family-owned that's operated since 1958 for over 3 generations, I love a family business! It's minutes walk to a couple of restaurants, near the entrance to the bridge and close proximity to the town, shopping, bait shop, seafood outlets, boating, fishing, and everything the area has to offer. It's not a resort this waterfront motel is only 2 miles from the ocean, it's clean and reasonably maintained with some of the nicest staff you could ask for. Irene is the owner/operator and she is really great at making you feel at home and appreciates your business. She communicated before and during our stay and was very, very accommodating to all of our needs and requests, nicely done. There are motel rooms, cottages and even a nice big house that you can rent but we opted for one of the motel rooms (Unit 4) and upon arrival we found a mid-size refrigerator, stove, microwave and comes with a coffee maker, utensils, cups, plates, etc so basically most of what you need to cook meals if you are tired of eating out. The free wifi is fair but functional, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, TV and cable perfect, and the air unit has a remote control so all my boxes were checked :-) There's ample parking, nicely landscaped with palm trees and the tropical plants but just a heads up, most of the houses and businesses on the river road have limited visibility when exiting and there's convex mirrors to aid in your for spotting oncoming traffic. There is a beautiful view of the bridge that takes you over the Indian River onto Hutchinson Island with the sunrise visible in the mornings just behind the bridge. There's a nice long dock just feet away with benches and pole holders that belongs to the motel and you are welcome to use it for fishing or just chillin', I did. Oh yes, they are pet-friendly with some restrictions. Bottom line: We were comfortable and enjoyed our days here and will stay here again when we're visiting. Highly recommended!!! website: https://driftwoodmoteljensen.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DriftwoodMotelJensen

I've heard the event used to be held at a different venue, but many people seem thrilled with the move to this location. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. You really can't go wrong with an event held near the water, even if you don't get a direct view since there's no actual windows upstairs(that I've noticed). The space is elegant, well-designed, and consistently organized to perfection each year. Everything runs smoothly, from valet parking at the entrance to easy access via stairs or elevator. The second floor is mostly hallways with large ballrooms throughout, making it easy to navigate between spaces. Overall, it's always such a fun and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a special event or function--you won't be disappointed.

The only availability they had was for Saturday morning at 9 am for 60 minutes. I agreed and made the booking. I asked if we would have access to the other amenities at the spa and they informed that it was a small spa, but you could have access to the pools. The day of the massages we arrived early to fill out paperwork, changed and sat in the relaxation room until it was time for our appointment. They did offer us complimentary water, tea, and cookies. I think at 9 am they could have offered light breakfast pastries instead of cookies and brownies as I know they serve breakfast upstairs. When it was time for the massages, they put my husband and I in separate rooms. I was under the impression that booking a couples massage we would be in the same room. The massages themself were nothing impressive. The staff outside the room were pretty noisy sounded like they were stocking things and talking. Someone even walked into my husband's room during his massage. When we went to check out the person checking us out looked like she might have been training, but she was also not the most pleasant. A 20% gratuity is already included so we paid almost $400. for 2 60-minute massages that were just mid. Not worth the price especially when they don't have any other amenities to offer besides the pool.

The customer service was the best at check-in, Marcia, and at check-out, Paula. Thanks to them, my stay was perfectly unforgettable, and I look forward to returning. The room they gave us was super spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is included and it is really worth it since the people who serve you are excellent hosts. It's not that this is a super swanky property (it's not), but it's a perfectly acceptable hotel that's clean and comfortable, if drab and dated. This is a very basic Hampton Inn that's starting to feel a little tired around the edges. The rooms and overall property are definitely due for a renovation soon, especially when weekend rates are pushing close to $285 a night for a standard King room. That price feels ambitious for what you're getting here, and it's mind-boggling that this hotel regularly commands rates in the $200 to $300 range. The hotel does check a lot of practical boxes. It's located right on a busy main road with tons of restaurants, stores, and chain conveniences nearby. I wouldn't exactly describe the area as quaint or charming, but it felt safe, relatively quiet at night, and easy to navigate. Parking was plentiful, free, and well-lit, which I always appreciate. The staff was friendly enough, but I barely interacted with anyone because the Hilton app made everything super easy. I used digital check-in, skipped the front desk completely, and unlocked my room by holding my phone up to the door without the need for a plastic key. Very convenient. The room itself was dated but clean. The AC worked beautifully, which is a necessity in Florida! I had it ice cold in there, so much so that I had to get a blanket. The layout of our room was a little odd, but very spacious. I like Hampton Inns because there's always a handy mini fridge and microwave in the room, which always make a hotel stay easier. Amenities are standard. There's a mediocre free hot breakfast, free WiFi, and an outdoor pool. Nothing fancy, but functional. This Hampton Inn is not stylish, not exciting, and maybe overdue for some upgrades, but it's friendly and comfortable.

She was friendly, welcoming, and quickly took care of our reservation. We reserved a suite and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. The room featured two queen beds plus a sofa with a pull-out bed, which made it perfect for extra space. There was also a small kitchenette area with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and coffee provided. The suite included all the standard amenities -- TV, desk, hairdryer, and more. The room itself was beautiful, clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options, including cereal, blueberry muffins, eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, bagels, waffles, and a variety of juices. Checkout was quick and easy. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and if we're ever in the area again, we will absolutely stay here again.

The breakfast baskets available are a perfect grab and go meal. We will return. There are a few things to keep in mind: 1- The restaurant and bar on first floor ate no longer open, so don't plan to eat or drink on site (bars and eateries are very close by). 2 - The hundred plus year old railroad system runs directly across from the hotel and the entire business district. We loved it, but it is loud and does shake the walls a couple times a day and night ;-) 3 - They use 1 ply toilet paper, you've been warned lol

For one of the rooms over the course of two nights we killed two cockroaches in the bathroom. We complained and they apologized and moved us to another room saying they will get an exterminator. The last morning of our stay we found a third cockroach in the new room. I notified them again upon checkout and this person said that they had paid for exterminator services recently. I noted this was an unpleasant stay and they apologized without offering any compensation. I don't believe this hotel meets standards for a Quality Inn and I will be forwarding this review to the Choice corporate executive team. I wonder if the Stuart/Martin County Health Department should be notified as well. Lizards and sugar ants may be common in Florida but cockroaches are a whole different issue. Other than a 10% discount at the independent restaurant adjacent to the hotel I see no positive aspects worth mentioning.
