Hubby & I stopped by for late lunch today after we had visited the Grand Canyon. Place was dead with only 2 people sitting at the bar but it was a Tuesday late afternoon so I get it. Ambiance was clean & pretty spacious. We ordered tacos & a beer. Price for the tacos were pricey but it was legit considering it's Arizona. Reason I say this is bc we're from LA, cali & we got bomb tacos. There was only 1 server & he was very friendly. I like that their menu had various different options from burgers to sandwiches, wings, & sides. We would come back to try their other items on the menu when we visit Grand Canyon again.

The food for being outside the Grand Canyon was great, very filling and the service was excellent. The chilaquiles were a little salty and the price was high which is why I'd say a 4/5 but it's still a great place

The breakfast beef tamales are an absolute must! I got mine with scrambled eggs - I might opt for sunny side up next time. The wings had great sauce. My husband enjoyed his chilaquiles. Pancake was spongey and yummy. Service was a tad slow, but the food was good for the location. Beautiful mural on the wall. Server was very friendly. They do have a bar, also

Food was so-so. Over easy egg was over medium, "House made gravy " as I asked and was told it is homemade but very unlikely was not enough to eat the biscuits with, I also asked if they smothered and was told they were otherwise I would add a side. The ham I added was a thin 1 slice like for a sandwich. Service was not good, she had an attitude with us from the start like we did something wrong. As other reviewers stated place looks dirty and tables are sticky. I would recommend to try an alternate place when up in the area.

Great place! The potatoes were delicious, very clean, customer service and music 10/10!

The Harvey House Cafe is a place to meet and to enjoy a casual old-fashioned setting almost like our grandmother's kitchen, where we decided on breakfast and dinner on our last full day. Upon entering, my partner and I were greeted by the host and were led to a table facing the parking lot decorated vibrantly with colored transom panels on the windows, exposed wood beams, and brightly colored mosaic tile work throughout. Seating is first-come, first-served. Their menu features breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an emphasis on diner-style cuisine. They are very popular for breakfast, for which we decided on the Harvey Skillet, Fruit Cup, and Harvey Breakfast. For dinner, we ordered the Harvey Salad with Chicken and Fish & Chips. The food was way better than expected for breakfast, using the freshest ingredients and well seasoned. The downside for dinner was that the Fish & Chips were very oily. Prices were not outrageous, especially given one is in a touristy area. Portions were healthy. Our server, Natalya, was attentive and friendly for breakfast. She went the extra mile to make sure our dining experience was special and memorable. The place was spotless--everything looked and felt clean, which is always a plus.

Server experience : I will start with the most negative aspect of our experience which was our server. He appeared unhappy and annoyed when we weren't ordering at his convenience because one of us had to use the restroom. Then after ordering, he immediately put the check on our table which made us felt rushed. We were asked if we wanted extra condiments which my girlfriend said yes but it never arrived. In fact, the waiter leaned back against the counter making eye contact with us multiple times but never came back. Food Quality: Food wasn't horrible, the double bacon cheeseburger was cooked well, the bun was soggy and fell apart. The fried chicken club sandwich was extremely thin, and heavily breaded, which what was recommended by the waiter. I guess overall the bad experience revolved around our waiter, which is a shame.

My wife went with the Nathan's hot dog loaded up with chili, cheese, and onions. Honestly, that was the safe play and it paid off. The hot dog was good. Solid. Dependable. It did not try to reinvent the wheel or elevate the hot dog experience. It just showed up, did its job, and moved on with its life. Respect. I decided to get adventurous with the Native Taco. And by adventurous, I mean I ordered something that is basically chili, cheese, onions, lettuce, and salsa sitting on what I can only describe as pizza dough. So imagine a taco. Now imagine a slice of pizza. Now combine them and remove most of the seasoning. That's the experience. It's actually an interesting concept. I'll give them that. Taco pizza energy. But everything kind of blended together into one unified note of... fine. Not bad. Not offensive. Just polite. It felt like all the ingredients had a meeting beforehand and agreed not to outshine each other. The hot chocolate was good though. No sarcasm there. It hit the spot, especially with that canyon air reminding you you're not at sea level anymore. All in all, it's three stars. You're at the Grand Canyon. You're not here for culinary fireworks. I appreciated the efficiency of the order processing, despite people in line ordering drinks for their whole family (some having to check in and get answers to questions via text or phone). Since my wife and I were both present in line, we were ready to go when it was our turn. She wanted a pastry and I mostly drink black coffee, so our order was filled immediately -- I was presented with a cup and directed to the self-service pump machine at the end of the line. The coffee had a nice roast and good flavor. As it came from a pump, it was not "freshly brewed," though I assume it was "very recently brewed." If you want the freshest, you'll have to wait for an Americano, but if you want fast like I did, get the drip coffee and get on your way. :)
