My mom and I visited Williams a few weeks ago for a mother/daughter trip. For breakfast, we stopped at Pine Country Restaurant, which my mom had recommended from her previous visit. I really liked the Ma/Pa restaurant feel, which gave it that homemade, comfort feel. Inside, they had a small souvenir shop with nicknacks, hats, shirts, cups, and more. They also serve homemade desserts like keyline pies, large cookies, banana bread, and more! The staff were very friendly, kind, and always attended to us when needed. I had a traditional type breakfast plate with a side of biscuits and gravy. It all came together with eggs, hash browns bacon, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. The food was great. The eggs were a little bland, but nothing bad. The bacon could have been a little more crispy. My fave from the whole plate was the biscuits and gravy! It had good flavor to it and the biscuits tasted fresh and soft, like they were homemade! Later that evening, we were craving chicken wings for dinner. When we checked Yelp for places with chicken wings, this place appeared with positive comments about the wings. So we ordered to-go from here for dinner. We had bbq chicken wings, French fries, and fried zucchini. The chicken wings were great very saucy, which I like! The zucchini pieces could have used a little flavor. Though they were fried perfectly and tasted fresh when ate them, they probably could have used a little more salt or something. It seemed a little bland to my taste, but overall they were delicious! Portions for both breakfast and dinner were huge! So come hungry! Overall, the service and food were great! Definitely worth a try if you're a first timer. My friend and I stopped here for pie and coffee while on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. They have over 50 different flavors of pies plus other desserts and also a menu of sandwiches and other meals, but the truth is that we were here for the PIES! I had the double chocolate cream pie. I was pretty disappointed in this place. The service was fine. It's a smaller restaurant with a very small town feel. My chicken Parmesan was just ok. Nothing special about it. The spaghetti had zero sauce on it and the only sauce was the little bit on the chicken. The portion was generous but a plate full of bland plain spaghetti just wasn't what I was expecting. The marinara was really chunky anyway and wasn't really good either. The real star of this restaurant is the pie. My pie was excellent and really rich. The most amazing pies! Wow! Service was quick. Ambieance was cute touristy and had stuff to buy. We had dinner across and we're walking around town when we stopped in to take dessert back to our hotel room. We bought a few slices of pie since we could not decide on which one to get. They all looked amazing. We shared the slices. All were delicious. So fresh and tasted like terrific home made pies. It is a shame they are so far from where we live, well maybe not or we would have to buy them more often and that might not be good for us. If you are anywhere near Williams Az it is well worth the trip to this place. Now, I came here ready to risk it all. After seeing all the rave TikTok reviews about their pies, I accepted my fate "Well," I thought, "this might be the day my diabetes files for divorce." But here's what those TikTok food influencers never mentioned: the food before the pie is just as heavenly! My wife ordered the Navajo Taco. Notice I said "taco" -- singular. But let me tell you, this thing came out looking like it RSVP'd to its own block party. It was the best taco fiesta I've ever witnessed I almost stood up and applauded. As for me? I went full cowboy and ordered the NY steak (representing the home state), paired with mashed potatoes and their house steak brown gravy. Dear Lord, I saw heaven. Angels were humming. I might've spoken in tongues. Normally, dinner time for us is filled with laughter, conversation, and a little bit of gossip (mostly her fault, let's be real). But that night? Silence. Not a word. Because when the food's that good, your mouth is too busy saying "mmm" to say anything else. Our server, Ryan, deserves a raise not just for the excellent service but for being a walking dessert encyclopedia. We've eaten here a couple of times on different trips to Wiliams. There are not a lot of restaurant options that we would go back to. There's a cute store in the back of the restaurant that the kids and I like to browse after we order our food. Service has been good both times. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the dinner portions are shareable depending on how hungry you are. There are so many different flavors of pie to choose from. Do yourself a favor and skip the coffee. It looks like muddy water and tastes about like that too. The hash browns have the texture from a big vat they might scoop it from and tasted like rancid oil. Hash browns are one of the items we typically look forward to and nobody even finished them. The biscuits with gravy are really dense and chewy. Our pancakes had a nice flavor but were under cooked. The Sunrise omelet was pretty good, with a number of nicely cooked ingredients in the filling. Service was super quick. But overall we will not be returning. read more

Walking in our waiter was short and direct with us "like he was having a really bad day" I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. Wifey ordered in Monte Cristo sandwich, and my buddy ordered a steak. The steak was very chewy, the Montecristo did not resemble a traditional money, crystal sandwich. My chicken fried steak, potatoes, and corn was good but nothing to write home about. After dinner we all ordered a slice of pie as they are known for their large variety of pies. Wifey ordered the key lime and I ordered the blueberry cream cheese. Wifey's pie had a tangy "like buttermilk" flavor to it that tasted kind of off but then grew on you as you ate it. My pie unfortunately was frozen in the middle and had crystallized ice in the center of it. So.... The menu had a good selection of comfort food. I chose to have the ground steak plate which came with two sides. The food was okay, some items better than others. The ground steak came covered in a home style stick-to-your-ribs mushroom gravy and onions. It was far from scratch gravy but it certainly hit the spot. The mashed potatoes it came with were pretty good too. Unfortunately, the broccoli was most likely frozen or dried and re-hydrated... or at least it tasted like it was. The service was okay, but nothing to write home about. Fortunately, the restaurant was clean and a convenient stop. The menu had a vast selection of pies, of which I selected a slice of coconut cream pie. It too was just okay. It wasn't particularly fresh-tasting but had decent flavor. But the hostess's reaction was... intense. Instead of a quick, polite redirect, we were told to leave in a way that felt unnecessarily rude. Even the guests she was seating noticed and commented on it, which says a lot. Look, I completely understand rules are rules--but delivery matters. A little kindness goes a long way, especially when you're dealing with families. So overall: amazing pies, friendly ordering experience, but the hostess might need a hug... and maybe a refresher on customer service.
