Great breakfast spot. Ordered a ham and cheese omelette, coffee, and a slice of cherry pie. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great diner to fuel before hitting the road again. Definitely grab a slice of pie while you're here

If beige were a restaurant, it might be Pine Country. Stopped into Pine Country Restaurant in Williams hoping for something that would wake up our taste buds. Instead, we got a very polite handshake from breakfast. Nothing offensive. Nothing exciting. Just... there. Let's start with the decor. If "early waiting room" is the vibe you're going for, nailed it. Functional. Present. Not memorable. Much like the seasoning. We had breakfast for dinner since nothing on the dinner menu excited us. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito. Eggs and sausage wrapped in a flour tortilla, salsa on the side. It was fine. Not bad. Not great. Just fine. The kind of fine that whispers, "I exist." It desperately needed salt and something with a little pop. Even a mild personality would've helped. I went with the breakfast tamales. On paper, this thing had potential. Pulled pork. Masa. A whole cast of supporting characters. But somehow they were all competing for attention while simultaneously saying nothing. Imagine a band where every instrument is playing softly and slightly off key, and no one wants to be the lead singer. That was my plate. Lots going on, but zero cohesion and no seasoning to tie it together. To be fair, the service was good. Friendly, attentive, no complaints there. They did their part. The kitchen just chose the path of least resistance. Three stars because it was all just okay. Not terrible. Not memorable. Just the culinary equivalent of a shrug.

A solid country kitchen cafe, a ton of comfort food favorites on the menu. Popped in for a quick coffee and sweet treat before hitting the road. Hubby and I ordered two coffees and chose to share the biscuits & gravy and the cinnamon roll. Yummy.

Stopped in On my way to the Grand Canyon. Grabbed breakfast and coffee. Both were great. Service was attentive and fast. Coffee was great. Cute country decor and a shop and great coffee cups. Highly recommend

One of the most popular and iconic diner stops on Route 66, especially if you're there for the pies and classic American comfort food. Most people recommend it as a must-try -- just go with an appetite and be prepared for potential waits at peak times. Excellent service by Guadalupe -- she was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. Her warm hospitality really elevated the whole experience.

This was, quite simply, the best country fried steak I've ever had. Add to that the delightful staff, and you have yourself a truly authentic experience. Stopped off on my way to Grand Canyon and this place didn't disappoint. It was late afternoon so relatively quiet. The service was incredibly quick and attentive. Would recommend!

So the food was great, it was at the end of a quick trip to take the train to the Grand Canyon and the only reason I took a star off is that the staff was so not friendly. Even our waiter as just not nice. We are going to try this place again to see if it was just a bad day. Would have loved to come home with a pie but they said they had to have24hrs notice and we didn't know that and we hadn't even been there for 24 hrs so next time we will call ahead so we can bring a pie home.

BLOCKBUSTER REVIEW: "Pine Country Homemade Pie - Where Heaven Serves Seconds!" Let me start by saying I'm a New Yorker -- you know, the land where "homemade" means it came from a deli in Queens and "pie" usually has pepperoni on it. My gorgeous wife somehow convinced me (okay, bamboozled me) into taking a trip to dry, dusty, beautiful Arizona, and while visiting one of the 7 Wonders of the World the Grand Canyon, we stumbled upon a place that might as well be the 8th Wonder: Pine Country Homemade Pie in the historic town of Williams. Now, I came here ready to risk it all. After seeing all the rave TikTok reviews about their pies, I accepted my fate "Well," I thought, "this might be the day my diabetes files for divorce." But here's what those TikTok food influencers never mentioned: the food before the pie is just as heavenly! My wife ordered the Navajo Taco. Notice I said "taco" -- singular. But let me tell you, this thing came out looking like it RSVP'd to its own block party. It was the best taco fiesta I've ever witnessed I almost stood up and applauded. As for me? I went full cowboy and ordered the NY steak (representing the home state), paired with mashed potatoes and their house steak brown gravy. Dear Lord, I saw heaven. Angels were humming. I might've spoken in tongues. Normally, dinner time for us is filled with laughter, conversation, and a little bit of gossip (mostly her fault, let's be real). But that night? Silence. Not a word. Because when the food's that good, your mouth is too busy saying "mmm" to say anything else. Our server, Ryan, deserves a raise not just for the excellent service but for being a walking dessert encyclopedia. Thanks to him, I discovered the banana cream pie, and let me tell you that pie didn't just melt in my mouth, it signed a lease there. Now, I'll be sending Ryan the bill for my next Quest Diagnostics visit, because I know my sugar level went through the roof after that pie. Oh, and one more thing if you visit, watch out for the crows outside. These aren't your average birds. These things are the size of eagles and smart enough to do your taxes. They'll stare into your soul while you eat your pie, like they're judging your life choices. ‍ Bottom line if you ever find yourself in Williams, Arizona, do not leave without stopping at Pine Country Homemade Pie. Whether it's the legendary banana cream pie, the mind-blowing Navajo Taco, or that holy steak and gravy combo, this place will bless your taste buds and your vacation memories. Just don't forget to pack your sense of humor and maybe your glucose meter. lol

Loved this diner. Great vibes and great pies. There are several fresh pies to choose from and are all super good. Breakfast and lunch is served for dinner as well so that was nice.

We've eaten here a couple of times on different trips to Wiliams. There are not a lot of restaurant options that we would go back to. There's a cute store in the back of the restaurant that the kids and I like to browse after we order our food. Service has been good both times. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the dinner portions are shareable depending on how hungry you are. There are so many different flavors of pie to choose from. We tried the double lemon meringue, which was decent, and we will be back to try more flavors on our next trip.

It was very busy when we stopped by last Saturday around 11am and we waited about 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated, our server came over right away and took our orders. One Dr. Pepper One Grilled chicken with mashed potatoes, corn One Classic breakfast One Pine country club sandwich One banana creme pie The food came out all together and then our server disappeared. We were wanting some Tabasco so we flagged someone else down as we had waited about 10 minutes for our server who never came.... The Dr. Pepper was flat and no refill was offered. The food was bland and it remined me of cafeteria food from the hospital. The banana creme pie was the saving grace as it was delicious. It was pretty big and so we spilt it into three. I would pass on this as I'm pretty sure there are better brunch places nearby. Do come for the pie though!

This should be a "must stop" if you find yourself in Williams! Food was soooo good...I had the "That Sounds Good" salad and while I never have done a food review just on salad without an entrée, I am now. Every bite was delicious and their homemade lemon vinaigrette was the icing on the cake. Trust me, this was an incredible meal. And, of course, I had to have a slice of pie for dessert. I couldn't decide on blueberry cherry or peach and guess what? They have a pie that has all three! Who does that?! I know... The Pine Country Restaurant does:-) And since I'm going to have a slice of pie, I have to make it à la mode! I wanted to lick the plate but my wife would've whacked me - lol!

    Do they serve alcohol here?

No they do not. They do have a coffee bar though.

Can you tell me what different usual flavors are offered for the gluten free pies?

According to their website they make a sugar-free & gluten-free friendly pie every day - you would have to ask what the flavor is for the day.

We visited over Christmas. We purchased some coffee cups at the gift shop. Wondering if its possible to order one and have it shipped? We'd like to replace one that was broken. Thanks.

Yes you can just call them! They will gladly help you!

Are they open New Years Day?

Is the restaurant open for dinner on Thanksgiving?

Sorry, but they will be closed for Thanksgiving. Hope you can try them another time.

Most of the "hot" items were cold, tasted like they had been sitting out far too long, and seemed anything but fresh. The carving station was the worst part. The check-in process was disorganized and unwelcoming, and overall the experience just felt poorly managed from start to finish. For the price you pay, this place is absolutely not worth it.
