Morning of, get a text saying their tech is running behind, no problem. 830 rolls around and, to my surprise, someone in a JS detailing truck rolls up. Early, not late - good start! Asks to use my bathroom, asks to empty his wet vac in my trash can (does so while saying "man, that's disgusting"). Says he's gonna get started, I head inside. 15 minutes later I get a text saying the wrong tech showed up to my house and someone else is on the way. I look outside and, sure enough, dude is gone. Guess he just needed a pit stop??! Get a text from another guy around 9:30 saying he's on the way and will be there around 10:15. Nice kid shows up, Josiah maybe?? Can't remember. Apologizes for the delay, said some part in the pressure washer broke and had to get it repaired. All good. About 20 minutes later says he needs to refill his tank and if I want him to do it before he starts or later when he needs it. Not sure why it wasn't done before he showed up, but OK, whatever. Tell him just to go now. About 90 minutes later, just when I was about to text if he was coming back or not, he shows up unannounced and starts working. Takes about 3 hours, gives me a call when he's done. Everything looks good. Ask him how I can get him paid, he said they'll send me an invoice. I let him know that's fine, but I'm leaving the country the next morning and won't have access to email, phone, or text for about 2 weeks so make sure they get it to me that day. No invoice. I leave for my trip. Get back to about 30 texts and VMs, each increasingly hostile. Threatening to come by and collect in person, threatening my to file a police report for "theft of services" (whatever that is), etc. I go to pay the invoice and it's been cancelled, so I have no way to pay them. Text and email, owner responds with a 2 minute voice text message that I can't even hear, but a new invoice appears in my email shortly after.

The work was great, the experience was easy, and ever since then I knew I'd call him again. Fast forward to my new car: Joe was scheduled to come to my house again on a Saturday, but with bad weather on the way, he actually met me at my workplace instead. He took my car to his shop, left his own truck with me in case I needed to go anywhere, and brought my car back just a couple hours later. That kind of service is almost unheard of these days. Joe goes far above and beyond to earn your business. His prices are very competitive, and his warranty is as simple as it gets "call me if you ever have any issues." I've only ever hand-washed my Soul Red Mazda because the paint is notoriously thin, but after…read moredriving through a winter storm from the Midwest back to TN, the salt/snow buildup was terrible and I needed a thorough wash. I asked about the undercarriage and whether it would get cleaned, and the staff who assisted me were kind and willing to run a touchless wash by turning off the brushes. Unfortunately, it didn't clean the car well at all. I went back around, and they were generous enough to run it through again at no extra cost and the second time with the brushes on. Sadly, even after the second wash, the front, back, and entire driver's side were still noticeably dirty. At that point I gave up. The staff were polite, but the wash itself just didn't do the job, and I likely won't return.
