Dirty floors, hardly any available flavors

one employee working (he was fantastic and super hard working). waited close to an hour for our one single ice cream. three broken chairs. dirty floors. VERY hot. AC appears to be broken or turned off.

No one is in the pic., she's been in the back for a good 10 min now and we're done with our ice cream. Been gone about 10 min or so now.

We arrived to get an ice cream roll and no one was around. we stood there for at least 5 min and I even said "hello" in a loud voice; then I called the phone thinking if they heard it ringing, they would come. NOPE! I went to the back and opened the curtain and the worker was standing there on her phone. it was awkward and I asked if they were open. She said," yes.". I told her we've been standing there and even tried calling. She seemed surprised and wasn't friendly after I mentioned the above. Not a good way to keep customers.

The person working seemed to be new and over-froze the ice cream, it was literally flavorless by the time he finished with it. Additionally, the metal block they roll the ice cream on was so filthy I found chunks of green all through my ice cream. The restaurant itself was also- filthy. I would not recommend. Ever.

This was me my family's first time coming here and it was pretty good! The place seems like a cool place for you to hang out after school or shopping. It is unfortunately understaffed, however their staff is really sweet and welcoming! We only had rolled ice cream and it was okay, but then again I'm not a huge fan of rolled ice cream so my opinion is biase. I do want to point out though that what they give you is identical to what you get which needs to be applauded. Over all a good place that I would recommend!

This is a FrescaNada! First time trying it and I loved it! It had such a great taste of strawberry with chamoy! Definitely will be coming back to get more!

Very clean location. Little place it hidden and tucked away behind a very popular threading salon and behind Jason's Deli. I love that they offer a military discount I do not like that their tea prices are more than Dallas. #Eeek Boba takes up so much room and they charge extra. I'm all for supporting local, yet, I can drive 5 more minutes and save $2 on a large boba tea. Yogurt prices are on point tho! So if you just want a yogurt... this place is legit. Suggest that they lower the boba prices ONLY because this area is growing... someone will come in and undercut that and take away 50% of the business. Don't let that happen! You have fantastic staff!

I've always wanted to try rolled ice cream. It looks really cool and pretty. Drop and Roll did not disappoint. The ice cream was really cool to watch being made and it was very pretty. I really enjoyed that the shop offered additional options. You could have Bubble Tea, Smoothies, FroYo, and Speciality Treats like a taco and the rolled ice cream. The price was reasonable and I liked the variety. I did not like that there were no descriptions next to any of the items. As a first timer I had questions that would have been easily answered with a menu describing each item. There is no sampling the rolled ice cream. I was intrigued by the pineapple ice cream but didn't want to chance a whole order if I didn't like it. It was hard to eat the freshly rolled ice cream with the spoon provided. It was a challenge with the spoon bending with each scoop, it did get better as the rolls began to melt. Lastly, the ice cream did not really have any flavor. I choose cookies and cream and it was just bland. I might have chosen a different flavor if I didn't have to ask about each selection on the menu. Although I didn't have a spectacular experience I would return to try additional flavors. Cool treats on a warm day are always a good time!

Came here for dessert on date night and we were not disappointed. The ice cream was amazing and it was fun watching them make it fresh. The staff was energetic and friendly!

I stopped in here during lunch for a bubble tea. It was pretty quite on the afternoon. The shop is very clean and cute. There is plenty of seating. They have a lot of options, frozen yogurt, bubble tea, rolled over cream and dessert tacos. There is a large variety of options to choose from. Something for everyone I would imagine. The staff was very friendly. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie with tapioca and it was made with fresh fruit. Good portions and the tapioca was freshly made. Very good on the tapioca. I enjoyed the freshness, they were warm though, so that changes your drink experience a little if it's a cold drink. The consistency was a little funny and the flavor was missing a little something.

Stopped in last night for some rolled ice cream. The place was super clean and the staff was amazing. We had the cotton candy rolls with cotton candy on top. It was a lot of ice cream. This place had so many options and choices. I don't think you could go wrong with anything there. read more

Honestly I've never noticed this place was here but our cousin came into town and I wanted to take her here because I knew she'd be amazed with the rolled ice cream. My review is based on service, ambience and taste as a whole. The place has lots of potential but it looks run down and is dirty. Like food stains on the wall dirty. Most of the machines for the self serve aren't working or weren't in service. The AC wasn't working and the poor girl was sweating. So there was only one girl we saw our whole visit; we ordered two rolled ice creams, two self serves and then 4 drinks. I will say for being solo she knocked them all out fairly quickly, however, she was not friendly or warm. Kinda made us feel like we were inconveniencing her by being there and ordering things. On to taste... 3 out of the 4 drinks were good, we got a mango smoothie with mango jelly, a peach tea with lychee popping pearls, a green Thai tea with crystal boba and a mangonada. All were good except for that green Thai tea; there was so milk added and it tasted like flowers. Definitely not what I'm used to. The rolled ice creams were good per the kids and they loved watching her make them. The self serve was also good per the kids. Again this place has potential; but it definitely wasn't welcoming. They have games and what not to play which I like, and they also have food items like ramen and dumplings. read more

Came in here looking forward to some frozen yogurt since options are severely limited in the 380 area. This place is Disgusting. The first thing you smell when walking in is a strong odor of weed immediately followed by a cheap cleaning solution they used to try and hide it. Reminded us of the smell when walking around New Orleans, throw up masked with cleaning solution. All the frozen yogurt flavors had a slimy film on it from never being used, most were still watery because their machines aren't working properly, flavors were awful. The toppings you can tell, had been sitting out for days if not weeks. The strawberries were old and molded, all the gummy candy was hard as a rock, most likely expired and had been sitting out for days. The store itself was also just dingy and dirty, hair on the tables and seats. Just overall a very gross experience and so disappointing. Do yourself a favor and grab a shake from shake shack next door for your sweet fix, this is not it. read more

Love this place! Never disappoints. I love their matcha rolled ice cream with popping boba and strawberries. Their Thai tea milk tea is also delicious. My go to spot. Be prepared to wait if they are busy. So if you're not a patient individual I suggest you return on a slower day. read more

I've been here several times and it's always been great. The S'mores ice cream is my favorite and it's delicious. I've also had the mango and that one is really good as well. Everything on the menu looks good. Service is good and the ambiance is cute. read more

I came and waited 30 minutes while the girls were talking and didn't make the icecream and were very rude. The whole place had crumbs on the table and floor. they stood back there even with more people coming in, not doing anything or attempting to even make orders. read more

Walked in and immediately was told it would be a 10 minute wait to order because they were working on door dash orders. 2 doordash drivers came in and they still wernt ready so after ordering 20 minutes ago our order was still not ready. Only 2 people here on a Tuesday night clearly one is being trained and they are just standing behind the counter laughing and walking around while 7 people in here are waiting on orders. Extremly rude workers here. read more

It's nice and clean whenever I come in and all of their food is neatly prepared and served. I appreciate the amount of options they offer and how the store also sells frozen yogurt along with boba and rolled ice cream. Although this might sound a little nit picky, I do wish they had more fruit options with their frozen yogurt because I don't really enjoy candy/sprinkles with my fro-yo and sometimes there's a small stench of bleach (or other cleaning additive) present in the restaurant. I do recommend this restaurant if you want a nice place to chill with friends and grab a quick sugary bite (not to mention they have 2 Nintendo Switches and an assortment of board games so you can indeed have some fun there too). Drip N' Roll will remain my go-to boba store in McKinney, Texas. read more

Really excited to have tried this place out because for the longest, I thought they just sold ice cream, but when I looked on Yelp I saw that they offered so much more. I always have to drive down to Garland for some decent Boba drinks, but this place really amazed me! I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, and it was just as good as one of my favorite Milk Tea places! I am definitely coming back, and would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it out yet. The lady who helped me was definitely very helpful, she greeted me as I soon as I came in, and went straight to assisting me with my order, because I couldn't really see without my glasses. OH and I forgot to mention, my biggest surprise was that the BOBA PEARLS inside my drink, for the first time in the area, I've actually came across come fresh like chewy boba, I usually can't find that anywhere unless I am in Garland. Very pleased! I would also like to mention that this place is really clean, no sticky tables, and the topping area is spotless. If you haven't tried it out, you should! Really clean! Excellent service. Excellent value- we got tons of boba in our drink! Also love that they have coffee milk tea, so I can get my coffee fix! Love that they have all my favorite things: self serve froyo in a variety of flavors with a million add ins, boba teas, and finally the rolled ice cream is such an experience! I got the brown sugar milk tea and asked for coffee jelly in addition to the boba balls but only got the jelly, so just a small misunderstanding but i couldn't be mad because it was so yummy! The coffee jelly had an amazing fresh chewy texture and the tea also had a nice sweet herbal taste. Can't wait to try it again with both the jelly and boba. read more

An Asian dessert place in McKinney?! Finally!! I'm always craving Asian dessert and driving to Plano all the time is such a pain sometimes. So, I'm super glad this place opened up! They have a grand opening deal right now where you can buy an item and get a free Thai tea or fusion tea! We got a huge variety of drinks and also a Matcha bliss taco rolled ice cream. Everything had really good flavor (but I do recommend less sugar for their drinks). Customer service was good as well- everyone was very friendly and helpful! They offer frozen yogurt, boba tea and rolled ice cream. read more

We went close to closing time by accident and still had a good experience.Their ice cream was really good and the service was great! They have games and a cool green grass wall for a IG moment of that's your thing. Can't wait to go back and try their teas. Such a great hidden gem. read more

Our business start on late 2018. We're combinng frozen yogurt, rolled ice cream, and boba tea together. It's a good place for desert, drinks, and for friends to hang out together.

Meet the Manager: Thai T.

My name is Thai Truong. I started in the restaurant industries for almost 15 years. My mainly fofus is customer services and desert. I've been working in the boba tea for years and also tried so many places of frozen yogurt all around Dallas Fort Worth. We're starting this business in Mckinney and hopefully to bring what's best for Mckinney residents and try new things like Rolled Ice Cream and Boba tea.

I have been a boba fan for a very long time. I seek out boba shops when I travel as well so I have broad experience in quality. I was so excited to find Drip and Roll. The service is always friendly. Jenny and her staff are efficient and keep things moving very quickly. The restaurant is always clean and well stocked. I've never gone in and not been able to get what I wanted. I have found them to very patient when explaining the boba concept to new customers. You don't always see that in boba spots. The boba is always the right consistency and they work very hard to make sure your drink is exactly what you want. Their prices are reasonable. There is another boba spot in McKinney. Their prices are ridiculous and the quality can't compare to Drip and Roll. I love going in for my boba treat! read more

Each visit is just as the last. It's not usually busy when we go in but by the time we leave it's packed to what seems like capacity. The rolled ice cream is my fave! Kids always get the same fruitti tutti I think it's called. read more
