We recently visited this Taiwanese tea shop, and my kids and I absolutely loved it. Since we're new to the area, we're excited to have found a place we'll definitely be coming back to. The space is beautiful, inviting, and so peaceful. It's filled with greenery and plants, creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I also loved that they have several different seating areas, making it a great place to sit, chat, or simply enjoy your drink. The menu offers a wide variety of teas and specialty drinks, so there's something for everyone. My kids really enjoyed their drinks, and they looked as good as they tasted! I also noticed what appeared to be a selection of pastries, which gives you even more options to enjoy with your tea. The staff was wonderful. The three young women working there, along with the gentleman who took our order, were all friendly, welcoming, and patient. Our drinks were prepared quickly, and everything was clean and well organized. Would give this location 0 stars if I could. Every single time I come here I wait at least 30 minutes before getting my order. I love ding tea! I've been to a lot of boba shops in Dallas, Seattle, and beyond; Ding Tea is great! They're comparable to Happy Lemon in quality if not a little better. The staff is generally very nice and they make they drinks pretty quick. I've ordered some complicated things before and they're always correct. The interior is cozy and inviting, they have some boards games as well. On top of that, it's really convenient to order on their kiosks inside. Ding Tea is my #1 boba fix spot in McKinney. This was my first time here today and I love the atmosphere! Super cute, super cute, super modern and quaint! Feels like a comfy study spot for teens or students! The wait for two Taro drinks was about 20 minutes. At the kiosk, you put in your order and phone number, it'll text you to confirm your order number, and you wait until someone callas out your number at the counter! I absolutely loved the way it worked. It was super simple once we figured it out, but i recommend you do your research on what toppings you want beforehand. (There are BUNCHES of different options for stuff to add in your drinks, and since it was our first time and we didn't do any research on the menu before going, we were confused and overwhelmed with all the information and options. Customer service is -1. Never coming back. Second time at this location. Last time I ordered something it was way too sweet (I rarely adjust sugar levels but at new places I always do) decided to give it another try. Ordered two drinks: brown sugar MT and the winter melon MT. Asked if we can adjust sweetness and she said only on some drinks. The winter melon is SOOO SWEET. no tea flavor just all sugar. I went to ask again about adjusting sugar levels and she said no but they can add less ice. FYI girl, You don't add less ice to sweet drinks. Then I asked if we can exchange another drink and she said no it's final sale due to ingredient prices going up?? So if y'all come here, make sure you're 1000% about your drink, specifically the milk teas. read more

When they first opened it was great but it went downhill fast. The workers are all sweet but the service is horrifically slow and the drinks are way overpriced. Everything is extra. They stopped making cream slush and most of the time they are out of popping boba. Then add to that the fact that you will absolutely wait at least 10 minutes for them to make your drink - it's just not a place we go anymore. Thankfully we did find a new place not far away (near Costco) that is quick and yummy. Ding tea, we used to love you but you're just not competitive in service, price, or options anymore. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and honestly, they started out at 5 stars because the boba was ON POINT and I love their Oolong latte. My husband also enjoys the Dalgona Brown Sugar Milk Tea. But in the past month or so, quality has been extremely inconsistent. Boba ranges between perfect chewiness to mushy yuckiness. I literally just went there last night an hour before closing and it was so good. Ordered the same thing at 2pm the next day, and it's absolute garbage... Did I even go to the same place?? The oolong latte itself tastes more or less the same, but my husband can't even taste the Dalgona in his drink. Please, please be more consistent! Duration: it took 20 mins to make my 4 drinks. 2 milk teas and 2 fruit teas. There were 3 girls working. 2 orders of 2-4 drinks ahead of me. Girls kept looking at menus on how to make drinks like they are new. There was no urgency or consideration of customers time. * If you are in a rush I do not recommend going here for a 5-10 mins stop. Process: the girl who made my two milk teas over filled the cup and milk tea poured over and I did not see her clean the mess. Then the next girl who brought over the teas dropped my tea in the seal machine in that as well. Not sure if they clean as they go. 2 stars are just for the drinks but the fruit teas are all syrup. Waited about an hour for 2 drinks which were both messed up (toppings were forgot in both), however owner fixed it and apologized. I get it, opening day is crazy. I've come back a couple times because I do like the chain - my favorite is the Mango Yakult. Very creamy, not too sweet, however you can adjust your sweetness levels which is good. You can't adjust the sugar level on the drinks even though they have a sugar level chart with the cup sizes near the register... maybe the chart should be taken down if that's the case... My husband had ordered the dalgona monster and omg it was diabetic sweet! the boba was bland which didn't help dilute the amount of sugar mixed in that drink. I had ordered the brown sugar milk tea which was pretty sweet but the dalgona monster drink was 10x sweeter. Once the ice melts in my drink, it will be at the level of sweetness I prefer. We're going to have to dilute my husband's drink with milk or something b/c it is just awful. I would not recommend this place if you like your milk teas lightly sweetened. I love that there's a boba place close(r) to home! They have a great variety of milk teas and flavors, excellent customer service, a convenient location, and the place is always clean. Pricing seems competitive with other shops and they even have a rewards program. I haven't gone often enough to reap the rewards so we'll see if it's worth it. As for the bubble tea itself, it's pretty darn good. Is it the best I've had? No, but it's still great. I think the issue is that they water down a biiiiit too much. I tried their taro milk tea with the golden boba and the taro wasn't the creamy, semi-weighty, this-definitely-tastes-like-taro tea that I'm used to. It tasted more like water than taro and wasn't that deep purple you see in the cup when it's taro-rich. I've also tried their mango tea. It wasn't very sweet and didn't have a strong mango flavor, but it was still refreshing. Regarding the toppings, they're excellent. The boba is an appropriate chewiness, sweetened to perfect, and a decent ratio. What a horrible experience! The drink tasted so bad and they forgot to put the lychee jelly I paid extra for. The tea was so diluted. Tasted like plain milk, little to no jasmine flavor. The drink is called bubble "TEA" for a reason. I politely asked for them to redo it. Instead of making a new cup, they tried to modify the original cup. It was completely unhygienic, and adding more of the diluted tea didn't make it taste any better. Worst part, he peeled the plastic seal off the top of the cup with his bare hands. He poured some out and added more of that diluted tea before covering with a disposable plastic lid. After all that, it still tasted about the same. The weak lid leaked all over my car! So glad Ding Tea in McKinney has opened! HOOrAAY!! We've got a great bubble tea house near to a bunch of shopping and 75-N and 75-S. They're a few doors down from the Target on West University. Please be patient as they get acclimated to running a new location. Speaking of, the interior is decorated so elegantly and with a modern, bay area touch. The owners were there when we visited, and greeted us with a friendly and welcoming embrace. I tried the blueberry green tea with golden boba, and my wife did the same but strawberry. Both were super yummy and what you'd expect from Ding Tea. I will say this location, after one experience, is much cleaner (obviously new, as well) and waaaayyyyy more cordial than the Garland location! That's for sure. read more
