Most of the folks coming to bat here seemed like grade schoolers and given I visited at the start of spring, perhaps it was season. Nevertheless, there were cages available for me and my buddy to bat at. We had to go into one of the faster cages but as a beginner I was able to hit most of what came my way. Once in a while the ball pitched with a bit of a different trajectory but nothing crazy. We did not have our own gear, you can borrow what they have at Stod's. Definitely would come again.

I have been here before many years ago for the high school baseball playoffs and this place is not…read moremy favorite place for sporting events. And now for the high school softball playoffs. During the playoff, which was only a couple days, we heard from multiple people that their vehicle had been broken into and items stolen. Even with nothing visible, car prowls seem to be quite normal. There are no concession stands here, so bring your own food and drinks. The fields are okay at best. They have a turf Infield and a grass outfield. Normally that is not an issue but the Grass in the outfield was long and it definitely impacted play. The lip from the infield transition to the grass outfield was very pronounced and a hard ground ball was very tough since the ball would hit the lip and pop up. There is a parking lot above the fields but the access to the fields were blocked by locked gates and other than that you are parking on the street. Definitely not a place to host a playoff that is an entry point into the state finals.

This facility is now run by EL1 and the facility was bright, well equipped and well lit. The facilty is a great place for baseball and softball players to train and hone their skills. The cages have high ceilings to give a more realistic trajectory and exit velocity. The facilty is warm and a great place for parents to wait and watch their kids become the next pro player or improve skills for high school or college. It helps that my son's team, Boys of Summer train here weekly. The area where the parents can wait for their kids have a counter and free wifi to get work done or entertain yourself for hours. There are also many great restaurants or restaurants places nearby to grab a cold one. If your child has ambitions of becoming the next all star or just wanting to be better than last season in little league or hi oh school, this is the place for you. Il

I've been a devoted gym rat my entire life, and I've been a member of or visited hundreds of gyms across the country. The EAC in Columbia City matches the best of any of them. Their free weights, weight lifting machines, and cardio equipment, are all up to date, and both varied and plentiful, so waits are minimal. And their Champions area is both spacious and well equipped. But it all starts with their people. Starting at the front desk. Dallas, Huy, and Erika, are among the first faces you see and, as with all good customer facing companies, they are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. And I've noticed that each regularly uses the seemingly lost skill of name recognition. They routinely display a proud sense of ownership. On every visit, I look forward to the words of encouragement from Dallas, and the smile and fist bump from Huy. On the back end, led by Zach, the fitness leader, they have a cadre of impressive trainers. Of the team, Sydney, Marcus, Sean, and Tre stand out for both their technical and interpersonal skills. Sydney, in particular, is both versatile and flexible whether an individual client or group is looking for weight training, conditioning, sparring/boxing, or simply lending an ear and a meaningful conversation. Similarly, Marcus is impressive with his high energy training and group Champions Class. He has, by far, the best music selection of any exercise class that I've ever been around. While the fields are older, equipment and amenities in the "well-loved" condition, it is still a great place for kids in LL to play some ball. Please remember, LL is purely powered by volunteers. It is a safe assumption that this property is maintained in the same manner. It may not be shiny and new- but the fields are playable, the stands are sturdy, and the kids who play here have a blast. 4 stars- cause while there is room for improvement for this property- it is amazing to see a community attraction that is run from selfless community activism!!

The league leadership have done a wonderful job to bring the game we loved as kids back to life for us as an adult. If you love baseball this is THE league for you. We have 9 divisions, each with at least 4-5 teams and recreational, intermediate, and competitive levels of play. I joined the PSSBL in 2018, I finished high school ball and went to a community college. I missed a…read moredeadline to walk on and didn't want to stop playing so I found the PSSBL. I entered the yearly draft and was selected 1st round in the 18+ division advanced skill level. My first year playing wood bat and I did AWFUL. I hit sub .200 and I was clearly outmatched pitching. 2019 and onward I joined the intermediate 18+ division and I've hit right around .300 each year since. In 2023, I started my own team in the PSSBL. Now that I'm a GM of a team and I have a few meetings a year with all the other teams and board members, I can see how efficiently and well run this league is put together as a non-profit league and every penny we pay as players is accounted for. It is the largest men's adult baseball league in Washington State and that's because there are 9 divisions spanning ages 18+ to 60+ and three skill levels over those 9 divisions. In my opinion the league is fantastic and unless I move away, I see myself playing in the league until I'm forced to retire from baseball.
