It may not be shiny and new- but the fields are playable, the stands are sturdy, and the kids who play here have a blast. 4 stars- cause while there is room for improvement for this property- it is amazing to see a community attraction that is run from selfless community activism!!

During the playoff, which was only a couple days, we heard from multiple people that their vehicle had been broken into and items stolen. Even with nothing visible, car prowls seem to be quite normal. There are no concession stands here, so bring your own food and drinks. The fields are okay at best. They have a turf Infield and a grass outfield. Normally that is not an issue but the Grass in the outfield was long and it definitely impacted play. The lip from the infield transition to the grass outfield was very pronounced and a hard ground ball was very tough since the ball would hit the lip and pop up. There is a parking lot above the fields but the access to the fields were blocked by locked gates and other than that you are parking on the street. Definitely not a place to host a playoff that is an entry point into the state finals.

They also have a lot of gear you can purchase on site which is always very convenient. If you haven't fenced before this is a great place to start and you get a lot of real fencing bouts. Everyone is nervous in the intro class and built confidence over time so if that's holding you back I'd consider ignoring that. My only gripe is that the classes themselves are somewhat short for me. Warm up, gearing up, taking equipment off, etc can eat up time so I would have liked to see 1.5 hrs classes to amortize the necessary overhead.

He has brought big smiles to my little one from the very start. We loved Teacher Ginny and were sad to see her go, but we are also very happy with our new Teacher Lauren. Every instructor provides a friendly and welcoming environment which has made it so easy for my now almost 15 month old to thrive there. He started at 10 months, and has made leaps and bounds in his confidence and mobility since joining the Little Gym. Camp Long is the biggest park in West Seattle most people don't know about. It's not on the water -…read morebut that's not a bad thing. Within the boundaries of the park are miles of trails that most people drive hours out of town to walk on. Not to mention owl spottings, blackberries, bathrooms, cabins to camp in, a natural rock climbing wall and a cool events space. I had dear friends get married here and it felt like they had rented a overnight camp to celebrate - but it was a ten minute walk home. Weeds are a bit overgrown with COVID having Parks only doing essential maintenance but not too bad. Spend an hour or an afternoon here - it's worth it!

I can remember going with the group to camp at the park and fell in love with the beauty of the park and all the fun we had playing games and camping. This was in the mid 70's and I haven't been back since but I should revisit the park to remember the great times I had there that helped me stay out of trouble and be productive in life as I got older. Great place to take the family to back then.
