We found a car decently priced but were told that the price had to increase because lojack was installed. We waited five hours when we picked up the car. Nothing was ready (registration, plate...). They then did the inspection there as I was too tired to go elsewhere to get the inspection and found that they needed new window shield wiper and light bulb which took another 90 minutes (they said two). Then we realized they only had one set of keys. I thought that at the price offered that they would have chipped in for two sets of keys. Highly recommend not doing business with this place. Found a car I loved, sales guy was great but when it came time to talk numbers the finance guy Jeff kept trying to pressure me into purchasing an extended warranty. I decided to put a $300 deposit and think it over. When I called back the next day to discuss the numbers again and insisted on not purchasing the warranty, I was told I "better not call them in two months when my transmission fails." This made me super uncomfortable so decided to ask for my deposit back (well within the 48 hours) and look elsewhere. It's now been almost two weeks and every time I call to check the status of my refund, I'm told all the mangers are in a meeting or assisting customers. No one will call me back or send me my deposit. Mostly I'm relieved I didn't purchase a vehicle from this sketchy, scammy place. My alternator died on the highway the day after purchase and now I need to put about $2k into it to fix idler pulleys and flush everything because the fluids are black. I got the 2BSafe warranty (another scam) but it doesn't start for 30 days after purchase because anything that happens before that is considered "pre existing condition". DO NOT GET THE GAP INSURANCE. It's a scam like many of the other things they say. I financed gap on my loan to avoid having to pay out of pocket if I had an accident. That's how it was explained to me. Financing gap was over 1000 and I owed over 1000 after my loan was settled with insurance, so if I never got the 1000$ gap insurance added to my loan I would have been at 0$ owed after insurance was settled. Disappointing experience. I give them two stars because they let me take the car I was interested in out for a test drive myself, which gave me the opportunity to experience it without someone selling me the entire time, but it went downhill from there. I tried to contact the salespeople multiple times through phone, email, and their website contact form in order to structure a deal, but no one responded. When I went back in person with verifiable market data to justify my price request, I was shot down immediately and the salesperson couldn't handle the discussion herself so she called her boss without trying to negotiate. Then when I asked about details of the warranty that was literally superimposed over the main picture of the car on their website as being included, I was told this car did not qualify for it. I did not have a positive experience purchasing a vehicle here. After selling my vehicle because I was told my new vehicle was ready, only when I was going through the purchase paperwork I was informed that they did not have the title for my new purchase. Against my better judgement I went forward with the sale. I was promised that if the title took too long they would provide a loaner vehicle. In addition the van I purchased needed a few repairs. When I test drove the van 1 day earlier there were no lights on the dash, but they disclosed the issues when I came to pick it up. One week later I cannot get anyone at Autocenter Sales to commit to providing the loaner or completing the repairs. I've called several times and just get passed around or hung up on. I'm going to add that I paid cash for the vehicle in full and am 40 weeks pregnant with 3 other children at home. Not that it's necessarily relevant to my purchase; but more so because I was an easy customer and its especially inconvenient to be without a vehicle and have to deal with this nonsense right now. read more

Called ahead as it was an hour drive to confirm the car was ready to go. They confirmed the car was ready to go... I got there and long story short they lied for about 2 hours on how they could not register the car because the RMV system was down, next it was missing a form etc. I offered to take the tile and register it myself... that was not possible as they truth came out that they didn't have the title at all! Two nights prior when we went to see the car they said the title was on site in a vault. The very same manger who went on and on about the dealership being honest and fair to all customer... is the manager who blatantly lied to me about the rmv being down, the missing form and them finally having title, complete lie. An after market warranty I never requested and apparently doesn't cover anything. Finance guy lied to me said my alignment was being done while I sign. Find put they don't even have an alignment machine. They took so long with registration it went past the 7 days and they blamed my insurance company! Trucknwas there 3 days they fixed 2 issues. My drivers window still doesn't work and can't fix it because I put all my money into this truck knowing I had 2 babies and in this financial crisis they didn't care. Called 10 times a day to get my registration they were in meetings " or nobody can talk to you. I know they screened my calls. Beware. Family of mine (seniors) purchased a $18,000 vehicle from this place. Its condition was absolutely not reflective of the outrageous selling price. Wasn't even washed prior to them picking it up. Exterior was filthy. There was no room for bargaining a lower price either. A closer inspection revealed transmission cooler lines in questionable condition, damage to right rear quarter panel, and rear bumper. Trailer hitch receiver is angled downward as a result of whatever impact took place there. Hitch is useless, the supporting crossmember is showing signs of major rust. Severely worn engine idler pulley which is burning up the drive belt. Rear tires at wear bars. Not to mention the underneath. A coating of thick caked on debris, all over the floor boards, rear endgate jambs and everywhere else their POR-15 paint can wouldn't reach along the frame & suspension. I have never seen so much painted over rust, EVER! If someone had been with them who knew enough to check for these things, this vehicular bed pan would still be for sale. The epitome of JUNK!! I'd bring it back for a refund at this point because obviously this dealer has something to hide. They ought to be shut down. read more

I purchased a car in June I found online, came for a test drive asked all the questions one should and because of the lies I was fed I purchased a 8600$ lawn ornament. Within 4days I was having major issues and even with some being in the sales CONTRACT it has yet to be repaired. I have had this car in the shop more than I have driven it. They will screen calls and not answer for weeks. If you dare show up they will tell you because you were angry with how they are handling everything and don't like your tone of voice that they were actually going to help you out but now don't want to. They will tell you you deserve to have a non working vehicle and because certain items in the contract were cosmetic and your cars not running any longer because head gaskets, water pumps, radiators etc are all junk within months of purchasing that they aren't going to abide by said contract because and I quote "what's the point Its junk now anyways". Better yet they'll admit there previous supervisors were shady and there trying to regain there reputation back after selling many cars with severe issues over the last year but be just as shady by not doing a damn thing to get your car working. When they sell the vehicle and tell you the front bumper just needs a clip and they put it in your contract as something they will have done within a week of purchasing and it's been 6 months of chasing them down all for them to tell you the bumper is actually not in need of a clip but needs to be sent to a auto body shop and will take several days to fix. Oh but they'll never actually do that but they will tell you to keep calling so they can keep not answering and when you have to keep going in person with your brothers truck because you no longer have a vehicle to drive because you purchased it with them they'll tell you they've been calling you and the loaner car they've been "waiting" on since the first week you bought the car so they can take it back and fix it actually never existed. Oh actually now it does but because they don't like your tone they are not going to offer that to you. When your laughed at for saying your a single mom who works full time an hour away and drained your savings to buy this vehicle is the cherry on top from the scummiest dealership I've dealt with. Best is the one time they took it in and fixed minor things and didn't fix one item on there to do list in the purchasing contract they actually broke and damaged more then they fixed. They then said they were going to take care of it all because of my troubles. Nope they hit me with 100$ fee because they were fixing it under previous warrantys and rebates. They were supposed to fix many sway bar and torched my axle. They were supposed to fix a inner tierod and smashed the outside with a hammer. Saw a truck online that I liked and it looked beautiful in the pictures so I decided to look at it. First thing I noticed was that there were brand new fender flares on it which is a HUGE red flag. A common problem with pick-up trucks is that they get body rot around the wheel wells, so people (and shady dealerships) will sometimes try to hide this issue by sticking cheap plastic fender flares over the wheel wells. So I was not surprised when I pulled the flare back and saw rust and rot all the way around. I looked around the lot and saw a few other trucks with the same cheap flares on them. I walked around checking under each one and they all had rust and body rot! If it was just one truck you could maybe say they didn't know. But when half the trucks on their lot have these same cheap, black plastic fender flares covering rot then it's not a coincidence. THEY PURPOSELY PUT THOSE ON TO TRY AND HIDE THE BODY ROT TO SCAM UNKNOWING CUSTOMERS! read more

Not until AFTER they received our down payment & forced us to finance the car (they said they could not accept the full payment) did they tell us they did not have the title!! All the parts (calipers, brakes, tires etc) have been replaced with the cheapest possible parts that will leave your car failing inspection in no time at all! I do not recommend this company! They sold me a lemon and claimed it was in great shape. The truck did not pass inspection at first. They did fix it up enough to eventually pass. About 2 weeks later the rear window was taking in large amounts of rain water and it was found that it was not replaced properly. Because it was a few days over the 30 day purchase date, they charged me for the replacement. While doing so, they used up a half tank of gas and left the truck on empty for me to take home...about a week and a half later, the transmission went. I went down and then they told me that the bank rejected me. I asked for paperwork and by my surprise the price went up and they told me that the salesperson had given me the wrong price. Recently bought a car from this place, first off the car had absolutely no gas, I made it to the gas station that was about a minute drive and the car died because no gas. The car had several hidden problems, exhaust leak, window wouldn't close all the way. I fixed these problems myself and went to inspect the car. When 3 days passed several warning lights started coming on. Airbag and ABS but eventually the ABS went away on its own, the airbag stayed. I called service and they first tried to blow me off saying I had to go to a Chevrolet dealership. I went in for service drove an hour and a half there just so they could tell me they couldn't do anything about it. I wouldn't recommend anyone buying from this dealership even if the price is fair, you'll end up paying more on the long run. STAY AWAY the worst place to buy a car from that I have ever experienced. I drove 45min to get to this place. bought a used Chevy last month for $11,000, the car ran great when I test drove it. After I bought the car, 2 days later the engine light went on and the backseat windows stopped working. When I brought it to my local shop they said the oil tank was filthy and hadn't been changed for months. There was a missing piece under the passenger seat which took a week to fix. We came here to look at a vehicle we saw on an auto online site and on AutoCenter's website so we checked out the vehicle in person. The ad stated it had certain options but when we saw the car in person the car did not have the options the ad stated it did. When we asked AutoCenter about it they placed the blame on whomever did their online advertising. Since the car did not have the options that their ad stated it had we asked them to deduct a few hundred dollars off the sticker price. They refused to stating it was not their fault the ad was wrong. So we left without buying said car. I couldn't of had a worse experience there. Waited for over 3 hours, while I was put on the back burner, to make a deal that should have taken 20 min. I came in to buy one of their trade in they had listed on Craigslist. Just because I'm on a low budget doesn't make it OK for the sales guy to make me stand around for hours on end waiting for him to move cars (some that didn't start) so I can take it on a test drive around the parking lot. Then have me wait for him to "okay the deal" then wait for this and that, when in reality he was trying to be with every other customer but me. The fact that I had to bring my autistic 3 year old with me that day, and he was having an epic 1.5 hour screaming meltdown in the parking lot didn't seem to motivate the salesman to help me at all. Once we got to the very end of the paperwork and I've already switched the car seat and all my belongings into the "new car" and my son settled in quietly the sales guy brings up the 300$ "processing fee". On a 1200$ car that's 25% of the price. He said it's for registration and whatnot. I reminded him that he's not doing any registration stuff for me, and he agreed to waive it, BUT he won't include the 2 new tires he agreed to put on(which comes to $300). I refuse this new deal. The dealer says Ok, I'll put on those tires and waive the fee, but I will give you 300$ less for your trade in. I was incredulous. I had had it. I asked for my title and keys and licence so i could leave, which somehow took another 15 minutes to produce all the while I'm switching my belonging back to my old car, my kid is screaming again and the dealer, who has a huge black eye, most likely given to him in a bar fight, is shaking mad saying " haven't I been nice to you" haven't I been patient" I just cant believe the dealer actually thought he did me a favor by letting me wait over 3 hours with a screaming child while he attended to everyone who came in after us and only got to us when the place died down and then threw in a bull**** fee that he thought I would pay because my kid was already in the car. Never again. Save yourself the aggravation and stay away from this place. Talk about a waste of a beautiful Saturday. This guys is very unprofessional, told me I shouldn't even test drive the car unless I commit to purchasing it and wanted a "non-refundable $200.00 deposit" to see if he can get me qualified for financing. Was willing to put $4K down on a 7,500 car and have a good credit score, not willing to stick around and risk playing with this guy. Sounds like a scam. When we brought the paperwork to the RMV to register it, the dealer had never gotten the previous owner to sign over the title, so the fact that they signed it over to us was invalid! We notified them immediately, and while apologetic, They are not getting this problem fixed to our satisfaction. We overnighted the title to them, and they had contacted the prior owner. However, the communication & willingness to go out of their way to help is very lacking. We're being told that they will contact us by a certain time, and only AFTER we call them 3 or 4 times do they even answer the phone. Purchased a car here some weeks ago. Was sold as a smoke free car NOT so. No offers to make it right other than a free detail as the initial detail was never done. Confusion and no title stalled the registration for over a week. Returned for warranty service again car was not detailed as promised. Only to return again as parts had to be order. My appointment time was clear. An hour passed and service was not started. Questioned whoever was in charge though that is never clear in this dealership. Answer, the car was supposed to be there the day before. After phone calls they admitted the mistake. Resolution... a two hour wait without apologies. Sales department is kids listening to rap music. Since day one no one accepts responsibility. Oh and don't ask for the owner / owners they seem to be out of country indefinitely. Unfortunately there is no option for no stars. Sold me a unsafe subaru for $6000 cash, they shut the check engine light off to inspect it and openly admitted it to me when it came back on the next day. Brought the car to a Subaru dealership and found out it needs $4000+ dollars worth of work (all safety related was informed it should of never passed inspection.) Two blown out ball joints one of them has the pin snapped in half, engine dripping oil in Multiple spots into exhaust causing it to fail and fire risk, exhaust is falling apart has poorly welded aftermarket cats on it. Auto center sales and service refuses to fix or acknowledge any of it In Yuri "the managers" words, "you bought a cheap car you get what you buy". Beware they also make you sign an arbitrator form when buying even if not financing stating you can't sue them and have to go to New York or MN to talk to a third party to settle. Luckily you can still take them to small claims. Mechanic "state inspector" hung up on me when I called him out for fraudulently passing my car with all these safety issues. Oh best part is I was informed not to drive it and to tow it. Unsure how BBB has not shut these guys down yet. read more
