BUYER BEWARE!!! I…read morepicked up my new to me 2015 Jeep Wrangler on a Friday night, pulled out and pulled right back in as it had a noise it did not have during the test drive. Was told by Dan that is just how Wranglers sound. Saturday morning I didnt feel safe and stopped driving it as the noise kept getting louder and felt like the car was going to just fall apart. They told me to bring it back to them for the sticker which I knew would fail as the noise and shaking it was doing I knew something was not right. Shocking they took it to Sullivan Tire in Bridgewater and it passed. I then asked about the noise again and Mike said " you own it now you can bring it wherever you want". Drove it straight to a Jeep dealer and they said I am lucky I didnt drive it much as there was 5k in work that needed to be done and it was all safety issues !! THE CAR SHOULD NOT HAVE PASSED INSPECTION! They must pay off Sullivan tire to pass cars. It was towed from Jeep back to my house so I could talk to them face to face about these safety issues. Once I spoke to them they came to my house to pick the jeep up. They agreed to fix all the issues but wanted to do the work themselves which was fine I just wanted a car that was safe to drive with my family. They then called a week later and said it was ready but when I asked Mike for a copy of what was fixed he said he couldnt give me anything but started listing off everything they fixed. I just wanted the car back so didnt want to argue. I was also told it was personally driven on the highway and there were no issues. I also asked Mike why there was no coolant in the car when I checked Saturday morning and he advised me HIS MECHANIC didnt bleed the lines correctly. He also stated after he picked up the Jeep from my house he called Dan and said there is something really wrong with this Jeep. Well what do you know I pull out and the car doesnt even drive straight!!! I am all over the road. I am defiantly not bringing it back there as now I have owned a car for 15 days and havent been able to drive it. Get it looked at again and was told they didnt replace some bearings and the steering column was barely on which is why the car was all over the road. Also, once i got it back i had a lot of new scratches on the paint as well. No way was I bringing this back to AUTO CITY to have them fix this issue just to have them F up something else so I am paying out of pocket to fix the other safety issues that were not fixed. I regret ever giving this company my business. STAY AWAY!! I would list everything that was wrong with it but I do not have the invoice from Jeep on hand showing everything that needed to be fixed.

Murphy's sells pre owned, older higher mileage cars at low prices. We were in the market for a car…read morefor my 17 year old , passed the place a few times, did my research online and decided to go in and have a conversation with the sales person. Now, Murphy's is on a strip of route 18 with some similar dealers and I was prepared to speak to an oily salesman in a leisure suit with no other goal than to take my money. I was dead wrong. Bruce, the sales guy, was brutally honest about what he did and what they sold. Yes, the cars were older, may have had cosmetic blemishes, high mileage and there was most likely something wrong mechanically. But they would go to a mechanic, get checked, guaranteed to pass inspection and my biggest shock : a 30 day warranty. So I took the plunge and let my son invest his hard earned money. A nicer midsized car perfect for him. He loved it, it wasn't a beer can that would collapse in an accident and all was right with the world. 2 weeks later, a brake line blew. This was when I was sure the other shoe was gonna drop. I was fully prepared to have AAA tow it to my mechanic and I would eat the cost of the repair. Not so. I called Bruce and the only thing he had to say was " Geez, so sorry. We'll cover it." WOW. The mechanic sent a truck, and in 3 days the car was ready, fixed and at no charge to me. If you've read this far, you should know that at every turn my predisposition of used car dealers was proved wrong. For a cheap car I got Mercedes service. My kid feels like he hit the jackpot with this car and I'm thrilled with Murphy's.

At first I had called myself and was given a very low ball offer. My friend insisted that I go through this company so I had him call and they gave him a better offer so we took it. Today they came to pick up my vehicle started calling my phone at 8:00 this morning when I was told that the pickup window was between noon and 5:00. The woman that I spoke to on the phone had the absolute worst attitude. She told me the name of the driver and told me that he would be calling me before he came and picked the car up. When the tow truck driver got here I knew he would do a quick visual inspection before paying me and taking the vehicle. He immediately tried to play me for a fool because he tried to tell me that my car was supposed to have three catalytic converters in it when in reality my vehicle has 2. They were both intact and factory not replaced. He started fighting with me up and down saying that I ripped one of the converters out then he said he needed to call his boss and tell him that one of the converters was missing which is not true so while he was calling his boss I triple checked and did a quick Google search of my vehicle which told me that I was correct it was only supposed to have two catalytic converters not three. I went and showed him this information and he still tried fighting with me over it saying that the Kia website is wrong about its own vehicle information. He fought with me up and down until I said look buddy I know what you're trying to do. He then gave in and said oh well my boss said it was okay anyway. The way that he spoke to me the way that this played out seemed entirely scripted and the only reason why I know this is because I have worked in retail I've worked in telemarketing and a lot of times things are scripted. The way he spoke to me it was like he memorized a script he knew exactly what to say or how to say his lies which I did not fall for. If you are a woman trying to junk a car go with any other company but this one they do not respect women. I am absolutely disgusted to the point that I will be calling the BBB I will be placing other reviews in other places. This company has proven to me that they will listen to men and treatment with respect but absolutely have zero respect when it comes to female customers both trying to lowball us and then trying to lie to us when they come to purchase the car so that they can give us less money absolutely disgusting do not shop with them do not give them a dime and I hope they go out of business
