He barely taught me anything memorable, I had to learn everything about driving from my parents. Our lessons would end early, he'd take long breaks (one time he took a break to buy bread at Traded Joe's), and didn't even let me drive sometimes because my area was "too dangerous". There were times I would just drive in a straight line without doing anything (he controlled the pedals). He teaches you this counting thing multiple times which isn't helpful at all (example: stop at a stop sign and count 2 seconds). In real life and the DMV test there are many situations where you don't count, you use your common sense. You also just wait for the speed to be at 0, no need for so many steps. Maybe he just doesn't fit my learning style but this definitely felt like a waste of $510 considering the fact that I learned nothing.

When Bob came to our house for my son's first lesson he was kind and knowledgeable, letting us know what to expect. My son had a great experience and at the end Bob spoke with us and gave us things to work on with him. All three lessons were amazing, he even gave us tips and tricks for the test and suggested which DMV to go to. Our son passed with flying colors and has a great driving record (he has been driving for 3 years). I am writing this a few years later because we moved away from Irvine and had to find another company for our daughter. Her experience was not as good and we did not feel that she was ready to be driving on her own even after that company signed off on it. I immediately called Varsity and they found her a time to work with Bob and we drove down to Irvine for it. In just two hours he taught her so much, he went through everything and corrected her previous instruction. She is a much more confident and safer driver because of him. Thanks to the support of her teachers, she has excelled academically. After a year at FVM, she took the GATE exam through the school district. Not only was she able to skip a grade, and she was also accepted into the GATE program. I truly believe this wouldn't have happened if she hadn't attended FVM. I'm incredibly grateful to FVM and all the staff. Ms. Sneha is such a kind and caring person. Without her, my daughter wouldn't have had the opportunity to learn here. Ms. Neranja, one of my daughter's primary teachers, holds strong teaching principles, and whenever I speak with her, I feel confident that my daughter is in good hands. The enrichment classes are a wonderful bonus--my daughter absolutely loved her ballet classes, and there are also options like piano, taekwondo, and/or dance throughout the year. Drop-off, pick-up, daily activities, and communications are all tracked through an app. The food! They serve three meals a day, and I was genuinely envious of how delicious and nutritious they looked. My daughter loved every bite--often going back for seconds and even thirds at times! Most importantly, the sense of community here is incredible. Over the years, we've built strong relationships with both staff and other families. We switched to them recently because we thought they got us a better rate. They purposely left out important things needed in our policy due to having a traffic infraction and then charged us to make the corrections. They tried to add me, an owner of the vehicle as an exempt driver and charged us to make the correction on the policy. When I called to complain the lovely lady from customer service yelled at me and told me I wouldn't get better pricing anywhere else... I got way better pricing with a different instructor at half the price, and they added everything I wanted without the sneaky back and forth and charging extra fees like Driver Ed To Go does!! When I tried to complain the woman on the phone yelled at me saying she was the supervisor and was a corporate employee so there was nothing else that could be done then hung up the phone on me. Overall just poor customer service. The names I worked with were Norma (this is the woman who yelling over the phone), and Sharona (this is the woman playing Ms. pretend supervisor). The office is located in the heart of sweet Beverly Hills, after all you would think they would have some class and manners. Straight up scam tactics and predatory business practices. Horrible. I used this and tried to take my certificate to the court and I ended up crying for the rest of the day. They didn't take online course completion only in person but yet the website had my court included. I now have to go to another driving school in person and pay 40 for that, then another 159 for having to take up time in court, plus the 60 I payed online and can't get refunded. I'm in school full-time and I'm not made of money. This was really depressing to be talked down to by customer service and felt unheard and then not be able to get my money back. Now I will have to carve out more time and money. I pray that people read these before they do the completion and pay. Just because your court is on the website doesn't mean they accept it please call them before you are embarrassed, disappointed, and deceived. read more

Absolutely terrible, money grab with very little useful content. Based on the customer service experience definitely not US-based or American. They charge you the same to mail you your certificate as they do to make it downloadable, they make you wait even to download an electronic version and at every step it's the same sales pitch to try and get you to upgrade the same day delivery. Everything is an attempt to upgrade, very questionable business practice and business ethics. I needed to do it for deferral of a traffic infraction but I hate giving these pieces of garbage any money. The quizzes and testing questions have nothing to do with challenging the learner in several of the options are just ludicrous. I doubt whoever put the curriculum together had any education background whatsoever. read more

I completed this course years ago. It was quick and easy. Finished online within a week, then the certificate was mailed to me within a few days. No hassles or issues in my personal experience, though it may be different now as I see many complaints regarding the service, certificate shipment, and whatnot, so I can't guarantee you'll have a smooth experience. Instractor is amazing. He helps you with what you feel are your weaknesses, what he feels you need to work on and also what is required to pass the test. Drivers Ed course was easy to take and understand, and customer service assistance to get my certificate sooner was fantastic. Only downside is that each page may only take 1/2 the time allotted to complete, and you have to wait for the balance of the time to run out before you can progress to the next page. You have to pay extra for videos. Been waiting more than a month and still have not received the DVDs. Not helpful when I called. Said it would take another couple weeks before I will receive the videos. The program was just reading, with a couple stupid interactive, non helpful tools. We paid more hoping to get more. DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!! The voice verification does not work...you will be calling constantly to reset the account because their software is horrible...then they say it is a requirement by Texas, but are to stupid to be able to provide a reference.
