Made an appointment for 6pm, got like 10 texts and email reminders and phone calls, go in and the people working here couldn't give a fuck if they tried. The big guy was a mouth breather just staring at the computer not even acknowledging me for like 20 minutes. Basically said they couldn't work with me to spite everything online saying otherwise. They can't transfer cars between locations and they don't even want to try to work with you. read more

I have purchased 2 cars through this company. The first one I returned 4 days later because it was infested with multiple generations of cockroaches . Too bad because it was a beautiful silver Nissan Altima 3.5. The dealership couldn't offer any form of compensation. I even asked to have it detailed because of all the germs and disease cockroaches carry, they couldn't even do that so after a lot of thought we returned it. They said all cars go through a multi point inspection to make sure they meet DriveTime standards so I gave them another chance thinking somehow the bugs must have just been overlooked. So that same day I purchase a Volkswagen Tiguan. I brought it to a certified VW service center at the advice of SilverRock (Drivetime's 3rd Party warranty company) to have the 2 issues I knew about repaired. The service center found almost $6k worth of work needed; Infotainment screen, center armrest, drivers seat motor and track, torn lower control arms, front brake pads and rotors, 3 tires and a water pump. I will post photos of paperwork for proof along with photos of the cockroaches from the first car. It took SilverRock 5 days to approve the claim so the garage couldn't order the parts until yesterday. The parts still are not in yet and my 1st payment is due Saturday. It really sucks making a car payment on a vehicle that has been in the shop since I bought it. All I've gotten from DriveTime is a apology for a less than perfect car buying experience. Same blanket answer they give everyone. You would think they would offer to make the first payment considering I haven't had the vehicle yet due to it's long list of safety/mechanical issues. What I want to know is how they can sell cars that are that unsafe. Obviously the so called inspection is minimal at best. Probably just check to see if it has 4 tires and a horn. I can say this after buying 2 cars off the lot that both had major issues that would have been caught with even the simplest inspection from a mechanic. I just found out about the water pump today so I am wondering what else will be found as that get to the work. In the response to my Google review DriveTime said the 3rd party inspection they did before approving the claim was normal and done to ensure the vehicle issues were addressed correctly to help prevent return trips to the service center. Obviously not considering they are still finding more issues that the inspector did not. read more

We came in to look we had been approved prior. No pushy sales. They treated me with respect. I dealt with Joe Franko and he was awesome. If you want smooth sailing no pushy sales you know the price you know the down payment so your all set. If you find a car at another location they get it to you. I walked into another dealership they said they would give me a older car for same payment. And the salesman was so bad. He was texting me pushing. No issues with Drive Time! My credit score has dropped over the past year so I looked to DriveTime for a vehicle. I applied online and was given an approval with a low down payment, so I reserved the car I was interested in and the office confirmed my appointment. When arriving Jonathan took great care of me and took my paperwork and said he would return with my options. The manager came over and said in order for me to get into the car I reserved it would take a 3 to 4 thousand dollars down payment for fees. I asked if this would be taken off the cars sale price and was told no. So they opted on showing me cars that were pretty basic with no added extras. Most were scratched and dirty. I was very disappointed in this location and left after driving 1.5 hrs frustrated. Why even offer any pre approval and car reservation option. Just be honest. read more

This place is a total waste of time. They lure you in with a false financing guarantee and down payment then when you get there you find it's all a bait and switch to get people into their store. I wasted a couple of hours of my life in which I will never get back and was not the least bit impressed. read more

This place was horrible. They told me online that I was approved for financing and with a low down payment and when we went in to see which car would be best they asked how much my downpayment would be and I said 1,000-1,500 and they told me I needed AT LEAST 5,000 down to get a car from them because I "don't get paid enough" to even get to their standards you have to get paid AT VERY LEAST 11.25 and hour and that's before taxes. I'm a college student and living at home with my parents, with no bills but my phone and insurance, but they didn't take that in consideration they automatically said I needed a 5,000 down. Ridiculous. DONT BUY YOUR CAR FROM THEM!!! read more

Please doing anything before going to this business. Rent a car before you can afford to buy one anything but drive time! They will charge you 4 to 5 times what a car is worth. Don't buy a car from DriveTime their third party warranty does not cover any parts of the transmission you will have your car for 1 to 2 years and it will break down and they will cover nothing the only thing they were offer help is to back up your payments for a couple of months save your money and just buy a car right out this company has cars that are used and are running out of life warning don't buy a car from them the deal sounds good but you will pay a lot more money for that car then it is really worth!2 read more

DON'T DO IT! Just don't do it! I will (prayerfully) pay this "thing" off this year ~ the car was purchased in 2012 with a ridiculously high APR. I sucked it up to help establish credit.... the car though.... TERRIBLE! I just spent $610 on repairs. It was in the shop quarterly until last year when I got a reprieve! Find a friend, take a bus, walk!! Just make sure you are doing it in the opposite direction of DriveTime! read more

First time for me to ever write a review on anything. First off you should know all my friends would tell you just the fact of me writing a review must have been quite an experience. From the time I entered the offices of Drive Time I felt at ease. And as many can relate to,most dealers give you the feeling that as you are getting out of your car you will be overtaken by a salesman trying to live above his means and looking to you for his next paycheck. OK,now for the good stuff..... When I pulled in I walked around the lot,but really didn't see the vehicle I was interested in. I walked into the office to see if they could find the car I was interested in. When greeted I felt at ease. We sat,chatted to see what I was looking for,or what I wanted to suit my needs. Not finding the vehicle on their lot they went to their internet inventory of stock at all their locations and found two vehicles I was interested in. It was late in the day,but the offer was made that they would go and get the car If I wanted to see it that night,at about an hours drive away. I really felt that the offer was meant to accomidate my schedule and not for them to just "make a sale". We ahreed that I would come back the next afternoon to see the car and that would give them time to bring it over and make sure it was clean and in good shape before I test drove it. The next afternoon.... I went and drove the SUV,liked it a lot,well a whole lot, and decided to see if we could arrange financing. This is the part everyone never wants to see..... Previously I experienced the economic downturn as many of us did and lost almost everything I had. I truly learned what "downsizing " meant. Overall, a good experience. I did get bumped between salespeople and it did take well over an hour for the paperwork to be prepared, even after I had faxed them everything they needed ahead of time, but I think it's the best deal I could get with my circumstances and I like the car. my experience with drive-time was quite pleasant. the salesman corey was very nice and helpful. when i told him i was looking for another car insurance company, he gladly called around and helped me find car insurance. i was skeptical about buying a used car anyway, but liked the fact that drivetime gives a pretty good warranty and gives oil changes. i would recommend them to anyone needing a car with less than perfect credit. read more
