We had a good experience here. We were shopping for a small SUV to use in and around town. Online, we saw they had a few on hand so stopped in. Bradley was the salesman we worked with. He's been with VW for a number of years and knew the product very well. He was also very easy to work with no pressure at all. Bradley talked us through all the options, from new used, new or a lease. We ended up buying a nice Taos that was used as a loaner car for the service department. I recently bought out the lease for my 2023 VW ID4. I did so due to the $3000 buyout incentive from VW. However, because VW requires you to purchase the car through a dealer (VW then sends the $3000 directly to the dealer), and because the dealers do not make money on the transaction, the majority of VW dealers in Florida do not participate OR they try to mark up the transaction with lots of junk fees. Emailed to VW 5/29/25, We purchased a 2014 Passat on 4/23/25. We were assured from our salesperson, Brad, that the car had been inspected by service, he reviewed what Boast VW service department did to the vehicle and we were told there were no issues, told with low mileage it would be great running car for my son. "It was just traded in and would be a good running car....." What a joke. We trusted in this dealership and felt it was a good solid investment unlike buying a car off marketplace or an unreliable individual. On 5/20/25, less than 30 days later the car is sitting in our driveway, there is fluid everywhere. I had vehicle looked at by mobile mechanic and was told it was rear main seal and PCV valve. I called VW. I was advised to have it towed at my expense to VW and it would be evaluated. VW agreed needs repair, not drivable. We were told by a manager that someone would get back to us after management had a meeting together regarding our issue. We were then told this should not have been a problem with this mileage of a car and the needed repair would be over $ 7500+. 6 days after being towed to VW we were told VW would not be able to help us. This does not make sense that this occurred less than 30 days after purchased. The next day, we were contacted by Rusty and told they would give us $1500 for the Passat and 20% off another vehicle purchase. We don't have extra money to buy/finance another car. We want this Passat to run properly for him like it should. Email sent 6/6/25 to VW---Though I never got a response after sending this above email 5/29 from the 4 managers it was sent to, I thought I should follow up. I had the car towed Monday June 2 for another evaluation to a reputable shop in Palmetto. I was informed now by the owner that this car has burnt transmission fluid. This is not a good transmission and should never have been sold 4/23/25, as this should have been known upon inspection of the vehicle at VW. Repair would be $7000 for a car I already overpaid for. This is very unfortunate and a total loss for our family. Rusty, manager did reach out verbally to my spouse since the car was towed to another repair shop and told him to give invoice to see how he could help us. We forwarded the invoice for the transmission with no response from VW. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. No managers cared to reach back out even after saying they would. This has been a nightmare. In response to my google review this evening, VW replied to me stating I should reach out to them... I have reached out many times with no response. read more

Also had other mechanics fix things wrong. Also bought a new used VW experience was perfect finance was very helpful extended certified warranty was better than brand new warranty. I bought my car new at Bob Boast VW in 2015. I have had nearly all the service work and the few repairs it required, done here too. I will say that I think their service department is first rate. Yes, they charge a bit more than an independent shops but they go out of their way to make it as easy and convenient as possible. I have had no complaints in dealing with them over the last 5 years. The sales department seems a little more "casual" than many other dealerships but they are very friendly and helpful. I have been a little disappointed with the lack of inventory they carry but they try hard to find what you want. A friend of mine is a tough negotiator and he has bought quite a number of cars from them over the last 10 years. If they weren't offering a great price, he wouldn't be buying from them. No qualms with this dealer's sales department. Our purchase in 2019 was stellar, smooth, quick and amazing. Rating is for service, particularly the ease of securing an appointment for service. We are dedicated servicers of our VW, and follow the mfg recommended servicing schedule. If you need a simple oil change - service can get you in relatively easily. However, getting an appointment for servicing outside of oil change quickly is unheard of with this dealership.In our experience, there has always been at least a 2 week wait for service outside of an oil change. Today, we've got a full month to wait for an appointment for oil change and diagnosis of a steady "check engine light." The end of March was the first available appointment on Boast's schedule. We've owned a lot of vehicles, in many areas of the country, and we've always serviced them with a dealership. We've never had such consistent difficulty securing service appointments in a timely fashion as we have with Boast. It's a great dealership for sales - wish it would focus on leveling up its service department staff to accommodate VW owners in a more expeditious way. read more

I made a reservation for service check of the brakes on my car on Monday 4/19. The appointment was set for Friday 4/23. The service department assured me that it would be done the same day. I had explained that I was just visiting in Florida and that I needed to get back to Pennsylvania due to a family emergency. After repeat calls I got the car back on Monday 4/26. They made excuses on every call. Only when I explained the nature of the emergency (TMI) did they perform the requested brake check. Procrastination and excuses do not define the term "SERVICE". I purchased my 2022 Tiguan from them in December 2021, I called them up that the vehicle was showing low oil level when the lady in the service department answered the and told her that it was showing low oil she said that it's not common for a new vehicle to do that so she asked how many mile the car had so she tells me to bring in and they would do an oil change even though it was not 10k miles yet. I asked If I could have 2 additional remotes programmed which are original VW remotes so I can use it for an aftermarket remote start, but they used to be from my daughters Tiguan which was in a bad accident, and she gave them to me, she never mentioned anything that remotes are programmed to each car specifically and cannot be programmed onto another car. When I arrived at the service department for the oil change and to have them program the remotes the lady at the counter did NOT even mention anything even though I told her again that the remotes used to belong to my daughter's Tiguan, which she was in a bad accident, and she gave me the remotes since they were exactly the same. After about an hour they came out to tell me that they were not able to program them because they were from another car (DAHH). The technician got pissed because I had an aftermarket remote start and started to mess with the wires causing him to have problems and tried to blame it on the aftermarket remote start which was working perfectly fine I than told him to just leave alone and I will take it elsewhere it got him more pissed and put a lock code on the ICU of the vehicle so no one would be able to program remotes (DUMB MOVE). I was going to order an additional remote from them to have them program it but since they decided to pull that stunt, I went and ordered it from Sunset Volkswagen when they tried to program it that's when I found out that the ICU had been locked and a technician directly from VW is the only one that can unlock the main ICU or the person that locked it. I recently visited this Volkswagen dealership to pick up my new vehicle, and I have to say the customer service I experienced here was outstanding! I must preface this by saying that I drive a company car, so I was visiting as a Fleet customer not an individual purchasing a car. With that being said, since I was not a purchasing customer, I didn't expect anyone to go above and beyond since I was simply there to pick up my new car and drop off the old one. I was happy to see this was not the case! When my car arrived, Kim promptly called me to set up an appointment for me to come in and pick it up. I asked her if I could have the windows tinted before I picked it up, and she took care of everything (getting the approval, setting up the tinting appointment, etc.) Once that was complete, we arranged a pick-up time. When I arrived at the dealership, Russ took great care of me and swiftly got all of the paperwork taken care of. He even took the time to go over all the features of my new car as well as clean and transfer my tag from the old car to the new one. I have picked up a lot of company cars over the years, and I have never received such great treatment! I'm used to just having the sales person toss the keys at me without so much as a hello, so this was a nice change! (side note: I have a friend who has been trying to pick up her new company car from another car dealership, and it has been nothing but a nightmare so far due to the rude employee she has been dealing with, so knowing that I appreciate my great experience even more.) I would definitely recommend this Volkswagen dealership to family and friends. I never had any repairs on my 2012 Beetle in 8 years all it needed were oil changes and regular service until the transmission was cutting out earlier this year. It took a couple of diagnoses to realize the transmission needed to be replaced because the car had less than 50k miles on it. I was surprised. After learning the cost of a new transmission can be over $6k I didn't understand how I could need this kind of repair before I even needed new tires. (It turns out the transmission failure was due to a fluke in the wiring system.) After calling VW and presenting my concern, VW was willing to replace the transmission at a reasonable price and the service department repaired my Beetle in no time. Parts department staff is rude and treat you like an inconvenience

My wife and I bought a nearly new VW CC in Tampa and brought the vehicle to Boast for warranty service. I went to the service center last Wednesday to schedule the required service (oil change, tire rotation, brake fluid replacement, etc) and was told to bring it in on Thursday at 8:30am. I brought the vehicle in the next morning at 8:30 and got a courtesy ride to work because they said it would take about 2 hours. At 1:00pm I called to see if the vehicle was done and to get a ride back to pick it up. I was told that they had to check to see if it was ready and they would call me back. At 3:00 I called back and got voice mail for the service department and service manager. I told the operator that I needed a ride back and had to get the vehicle back because I needed to be at a meeting by 4:00. Still no return calls, so I had to get a ride to the dealership from a co-worker and when I arrived I was told that none of the required service work was performed after they had the car for over 7 hours !!! They said they couldn't get it in although there were no vehicles in the waiting area when I arrived at 8:30 or at 4:00. I have never seen a competent service department devoid of vehicles to be serviced. I would therefore give their service department minus stars if I could. read more
