Absolutely, horrible!! Picked up my car with overspray all over it, when I returned the next day they attempted to "clean " it up, ended up ruining a black plastic molding on my car... obviously whatever they used should have never been used on plastic. The manager Eric is terrible about returning phone calls, finally had to contact the general manager to get the part replaced that was ruined... do yourself a favor and stay away from this place they have no clue what they are doing, only reason I came back was less than a year ago they painted my car and within 8months my car started rusting, come to find out the never properly clear coated a section after it was painted. read more

I wish I could drop this to zero stars. After having to take the car back in to have the paint fixed so it matched the car, I was told it would take maybe 2 days, no more than 3. I waited 4.5 days to see if anyone would even call me. After I finally called them, I was told it would be done the next day, and they would call when finished. No problem with the length of time if they are taking their time to do it right. I do have a problem with the fact that no one EVER called me. Not even one time. Every communication was instigated by me. I also have asked 3 times now to get an estimate for minor bumper damage fixed. If the car came back perfect I was going to give them the bumper work also. I have never received the estimate. Even after I asked the third time and Larry (never returns calls, never does what he says he will do) told me he would get up right then, go look at the bumper and send me an estimate immediately. Nothing. Final straw, overspray all over the trim by the hood and inside the door. These people are awful, and I'm sorry I sent my car to them. Save yourself some trouble and use ANYONE else. read more

Great service and friendly staff! My mother-in-law has a vehicle that needed repair and they did a phenomenal job. In addition, they detailed the interior to a level the car hadn't seen in some time. The paint matching on the work done to the body was well done, and they held the vehicle until we could coordinate a pick up at our convenience. They even cleaned out a headlight very inexpensively so that the new and old housings matched in luminosity and brightness. Dear Mr. Smalls. My name is Dianne Dawn. On 3.12.22 I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Sonata from Gettel SRQ that had only 51 miles. Unfortunately, on 4.29.33, a man came over in my lane & caused major damage to my driver's side. My service advisor is Eric Erickson who told me the earliest time available to schedule my car to be dropped off was on 6.27.22!! Your center had my car 5 weeks & you were paid $7,000 from the other party's ins co. I was happy with the cosmetic repairs done but unfortunately, as soon as I started driving my vehicle, I heard wind coming through my driver's side door. The noise is worse when seated in the passenger seat and is constant. Both Erick's have continually asked me about my driving conditions, streets I was driving on, the wind outside, etc. finding excuses for the sound so I continually had to reiterate to them this issue has been present ever since the repairs and was definitely NOT like this when I purchased the vehicle. I called Eric Erickson and scheduled an appointment for 9.30.22 at 1pm but because of the hurricane, you lost power and were closed. No one called me to let me know so that was another disappointment as I work in South Sarasota. Wasted trip! I was rescheduled to come on 10.21.22 (3 weeks later) to check my door and seal. I waited in your reception area for 4 hours to find out they only made the matter worse. At that time, both Eric Erickson and the Collision Manager, Eric Grenesco told me they needed more time to work on my car and set me up ANOTHER appt on 11.16.22 to leave my car as they needed time to figure out the issue. I dropped it on the 16th. That was over 2.5 wks ago. I have only heard from Eric Erickson once. I have had to call myself for the status of my vehicle. I was told by Eric that they had been driving my car constantly, yet no miles had been accumulated as per My Hyundai App on my phone. I discussed with both Eric Erickson and Eric Grenesco on a speaker phone call on 11.21.22 to which they both denied. All of a sudden, 11 miles went on to my car the following day. I was then told on this same call that this issue is "common with Sonata's & I could Google it." They had the audacity to tell me there was not much else they could do. They told me they drove a 2021 Sonata that was on your collision lot and "it did the same thing". Unacceptable. At that point, Eric Grenesco then told me he was going to go drive a brand-new Sonata "right away" to see if it has the same issue and call me back which he never did. So, I stopped at my Gettel in SRQ the Wed b4 Thanksgiving and had a sales woman take me for a ride in a brand-new Sonata which I have video tape at different speeds with obviously NO wind sound. So, I once again called yesterday, 12.2 & asked to speak directly with you, the GM of the Collision Center and was told by Eric Erickson "oh, that's not an easy task". He then transferred me to Eric Grenesco, who told me they "are still making adjustments on the door" and stated it's "getting better, but I have not been spending a full day on it." And then stated, "let me get the guy & try to get this thing 100% done". I asked him if he ever went & drove a new Sonata like he stated he was going to a week ago, he told me "he never made it over because traffic was a nightmare." But, they are in the SAME parking lot! Please tell me, if you were in this same situation with a brand new $33,000 vehicle with now only 11,000 miles on it that you would be okay with this situation and constant excuses? I very seriously doubt you would. Along with that, if this was a mechanical issue or a fire hazard and you were told "it's common, Google it" and "there is not much more we can do" would you be satisfied with that answer? I doubt that, as well. If I do not have this issue fixed ASAP, I will be making a call to Hyundai Customer Service and will go up as high on the totem pole as needed. I look forward to your response. Gettel Collision Center repaired my 2017 RAV4 three times, each time I was impressed with the work done on my SUV courteous and more professional than doctors lawyers and law enforcement impersonators. Selling new Mercedes Benz vehicles for 33 years I've seen dirty chop shops and some bad work. Gettel Collision is one of the best run body shops I've seen especially compared to all of the other poorly managed businesses and practices we know now about the problems with incompetent Sheriff's and deputies. read more

Two words: NEVER AGAIN. This facility royally SUCKS. I went to the "Gettel Collision Center" in Bradenton, FL to have my right front fender repaired. They gave me back my car after 5 days (AND after the manager said he didn't like how the original work performed looked) with an obvious paint drip mark on the fender as well as rough edges on the fender that did not properly line up. Just a horrendous job. A High School Auto Body class would do a better job than this debacle. When I confronted the manager (Eric Erickson) he wouldn't admit (even after closely inspecting) the areas in question, that the job was performed not just poorly, but ridiculously BAD. I was not happy and asked for $817.91 which I had paid these knuckleheads to be refunded back to my Credit card. I have received nothing but silence. I advised USAA to never allow this shop to work on another USAA customer's car. I hope this review convinces others outside of USAA customers from even considering these BOZOS and their "Collision Center" to repair your cars's damage. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. SAVE YOURSELF WASTED MONEY AND AGGRAVATION. read more
