I bought a 2019 Chevy Equinox from Drive Time in Sept. It drove good until about 2 weeks ago and then the engine light and the traction control light came on. The car started running really bad. I got in touch with Silver Rock Warranty. I took it to Firestone and it turns out that it needs a new engine, fuel injectors and some other things. Silver Rock is covering about 13,000 of the repair bill and they are telling me that I need to pay about 2700.00. When the warranty paperwork says that I should only pay the deductible of 100.00. Now I am going to lose my car because I don't have the funds to pay this. read more

On July 8, 3024, hurricane Beryl made landfall. As a result I was unable to work, or make my payment. The representative seemed to be more interested in getting money out of me, instead of helping me. I asked the representative if BridgeCrest offered a hardship program, he replied no. The representative told me to make my payment when I could, and to keep BridgeCrest updated. Come to find out there is a hardship program. I applied on 7/29/2024, my request was denied. I applied again on 7/31/2024, my request was approved. A representative verbally told me my account would be reported to the credit bureau as being current. I also received an email stating my account would be reported as current. On August 9, 2024, my account was reported as being delinquent. I called and spoke with a manager (Kim), who informed me that's BridgeCrests' policy. This is the second vehicle I have purhased from BridgeCrest, my transmission has been replaced twice in a 2017 vehicle, my account was in good standing until the hurricane. None of this was taken into consideration. I will NEVER do business with this company ever again. I DO NOT recommend anyone to do business with BridgeCrest/DriveTime. read more

Purchased a car in April 2023, about day 26 of the 30 days of the warranty about to expire, check engine light comes on. Let me also point out wasnt driving car at all because of no tags. But the day i did get in to drive is when the check engine light comes on. I did find a vendor that was in their network, took it there. And it was all downhill from there. The vendor told me that I needed spark plugs and a coil, it was misfiring. The vendor said he contacted Silverock and they were only willing to pay for ONE spark plug but he recommends changing all out at the same time. So I told the mechanic do all 4 and i will pay out of pocket for the other 3. Long story short he kept my vehicle for 5 days, charged me for the 3 plugs and when i went to start my car next day, engine light came back on. Tried to call mechanic, no answer no call back. Silverock would'nt help, customer relation would'nt assist. Took my car to another mechanic, they told me what was wrong and what i needed. I told them no, I just had that work done. They told me no, this is what my ASE mechanic diagnose your car as needing. So the Silverock mechanic billed Silverock and charged me for work that was'nt done. Again attempted to called Silverock and customer relations, no assistance. This is so wrong in so many ways. How can a company not stand behind their products and how are they still in business. But trust and believe they want that car payment. Never again and neither will I ever, ever refer someone to them. As of today, have been driving my car since it came out of the good shop, no problems, light still off. Fingers crossed. This is really bad taking advantage of consumers in this matter. A vehicle is not a luxury, it's a necessity. And when your vehicle isn't working properly, that puts you in a bad situation. Financially and emotionally. This was a smh expierence! I have been looking online at several places to buy a pre-owned vehicle, after finding drive time online and very happy with the website and it's features I decided to come into this location on 45 North with hopes of buying a car. (Now I did show up at 6:15pm knowing that they closed at 7:00pm but it was the fastest I could get there after getting off of work) With that said it took a while for anyone to come out and help us but when someone finally came out, the employees name was Robert I believe, we were kind of disappointed right from the beginning. He didn't really seem interested in helping us find a car. He was unknowledgeable about the vehicles and used the fact that they had so much turn around in inventory as an excuse. When I told him which cars I was interested in he immediately said the down payment would be $5000.00 much different from what I was quoted on the website. Again I understand it was right before closing but our intentions were to buy one of the vehicles I had already looked at online. (Cash, insurance and everything ready to go) So when we went inside to fill out the application the gentleman was very short with us and to be honest he was rude and snippy. All in all the website was great and informative but this guy lost a customer and as of right now it's looking like Carmax will gain our business. Side note, I did have a freeze on my credit which I forgot I put on there which led to us leaving but I'm kind of glad that it happened that way. I purchased a car from drive time on June 17. Three weeks later my check engine light came on. I called Silver rock, the company that sold me the extended warranty that was recommended By drive time. I took it to the in Netwerk mechanic that miss diagnosed The issue and made repairs that were not covered under the extended warranty. I had to pay $450 out-of-pocket. I took the vehicle to ASE certified mechanic. He determined that the car had sludge in the motor and due to that the timing chain was going out on the car. I took the car to Ammco and silver rock agree to replace the motor. They found a $650 motor that was in a vehicle that was wrecked. They were not willing to spend $350 more to buy a rebuilt motor that is like new. They will not cover any of the seals that need to be changed out when you replace a motor and expected me to pay that money out of pocket, $1700. I have spoke to drive time, Silver rock and Bridgecrest, the finance company. No one is willing to help me. I no longer want this vehicle that I've been paying for to include insurance, because I feel like it's not being fixed properly. Drive time, silver rock and bridge crest are all in this together and are not willing to do anything to make it right. I just want to return the car and not have it affect my credit. Drive time knowingly and willingly sold me a car with a major issue and did not disclose that. Then they sold me an extended warranty that is pretty much worthless. Both repair shops told me stories of other consumers who have purchased vehicles from drive time with major issues and needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs that silver rock would not cover. These people had no choice but to let the car go back as a voluntary repossession because they could not afford the repairs. This is no way to do business. Now I have to make a decision to either be stuck with a junk car that I pay $600 a month for or let it go back and have it negatively affect my credit. In my opinion they are nothing but crooks. After 2 years of ownership I look back on my experience with the guys here. Yes there sales team is great, however after taking ownership of my vehicle I had to purchase floor mats I had to buy a new key because 2 months after owning it the after market key I got stopped working. I did not buy the extended warranty, yet had issues with the check engine light coming on. I thought they fixed the issue only for the same code to come back months down the road. (After the purchase Warrenty expired) it had 4 different tires 3 of witch had 50% tread. This car has left me stranded 3 times now. It was my first used car I have ever purchased. Went to Drivetime North 45, John sold us our car and although he was a great sales guy the situation is frustrating because I bought the car early Saturday afternoon and before the evening was done I couldn't drive the car due to the shift gear not working and had to have it towed back to my house for $125. Now it's Sunday and Drivetime isn't open so have to wait until Monday to resolve the issue. I don't know what the resolution will be but if their not willing pay for the repair in full then I'll be giving the car right back (hopefully the 5 day return policy isn't a hoax). For right now, I can say that this situation is frustrating at best and I will not send family and friends to this place. As for the resolution I'll keep you guys updated on what is done on Monday to resolve this issue. read more

I gave this place one star because the people inside are seemingly helpful and they have some ok cars that they let you get in for about 45 days. But if you have bad credit or no credit at all BEWARE because they will take all your down payment money and payments....and then repo the car because of some bull shot reason. Bridgecrest (inside financing) says that they can simply back out of the loan even if you don't owe them anything because they see fit. They claim it won't affect your credit but you're still stuck with no car and no money because they have plotted to rob you. Then they sit on the phone and tell you they're going to resale the vehicle and you can have a nice life lol. I've been looking for pending lawsuits as I plan to join in. I've seen several reviews about this since it happened to me wish I had done my research before. Anyhow everything done in the dark comes to light and God has the last say so.
