When considering CNA training I had a friend recommend DRM and was not disappointed. The class was very informative and gave a lot of hands on experience. Due to the practice in class I was prepared for the in person experience towards the end of the program at the long term care facilities. They provided a two week long program that prepared me very well for the state test which I passed first try! Candy was the best teacher and provided a lot of helpful resources. 10/10 recommend for people who need a CNA certification. read more

Went through the combined CNA and phlebotomy program a while ago but was going through my old voicemails and was reminded of my poor experience. I decided that I would look to see if it was even still around, and it seems like the same thing is still happening so I thought I would relay my experience as well so that people can make a more informed decision. I was supposed to be assigned an internship following the phlebotomy program and never was placed anywhere, despite my reaching out to multiple times. For how much it costs, you would think that they would be more organized. The CNA program was okay, but if phlebotomy is what you would like to do, I would go elsewhere. read more

The reason I took up the CNA+ class at DRM was to chase my dreams. During my time there my peers were very welcoming, loving, & caring. Being able to learn & study with the most intelligent people I know now was a very great lesson for me. The family at drm definitely made sure I stayed on track & within our studies never made it boring. There was much laughter in between & getting to know my instructors were the best. Not only are they like your second family, they also care about your career. Help chase your dreams & plus more. I would recommend this program to anybody whose looking. read more

I attended DRM in 2019 for the combined CNA, MA and phlebotomy course along with EKG. Unfortunately by the time i completed all the courses and met criteria Covid hit. which made it difficult for me to get certified and was unsuccessful. I received an email asking if I would leave a good review for the center and couldn't do anything but laugh. It's crazy how they emailed to leave a good review but didn't call me to ensure that i had the resources needed to take my state exams and internship. During those 6 months the center relocated 3x. The first location had no heat and would use space heaters. The only reason I made it through with all the distractions was because of mrs. Bernadette. There were times where she had to wing it just to make the program make sense. I loved her she was such a big help and she kept on going even with having her own personal issues with the school that I won't say. Mrs. Bernadette informed me that I had been placed on the list for internship but never herd anything else about it from the school. their transitioning stage could use some improvement. I don't know if it's improved since but I was left with not knowing what the next stage was and was left hanging. I called and called. Sometimes the phone would just ring or the receptionist just wasn't knowledgeable enough to help. all that money and time spent. To this day I still am not certified in phlebotomy or MA and will have to redo all over because I still want those certification's, I hope that they have improved. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. It was the worst experience of my life. At orientation, before the class even started, the "enrollment specialist" Kenric called me by the wrong name and was very rude when I corrected him. He looked at me like I was dumb and made me feel stupid. At orientation, it was stressed how important it was that we be on time every single day - not even a minute late. So on the first day of class, I was there promptly when class started at 8:30, afraid I would even be considered late for that. Our class sat there for two hours before the instructor, Miss Hun, finally showed up. During this time, the office gave us little to no explanation as to what was going on, and all of the 14 class members sat in the room instructorless for two hours. When Miss Hun finally showed up, her teaching was incompetent. She was a very nice lady and tried very hard, but her heavy accent, quite voice, and lack of skills for the lab portion of the class quickly angered every single person in the class. Also at orientation, those who smoked were singled out in a very rude and unprofessional manner, making them uncomfortable. Several people demanded refunds and were not given them. We begged the office to buy us pizza for two days and they agreed to make up for it.. but they bought us 3 pizzas, with no plates, and no cups to drink out of. Talk about cheap. Also, 3 pizzas is not enough for 14 people, half of whom are men. I was told before class even started that I needed a TB test done. I waited four hours at a hospital to get one done, and another 2 when I went back to get it read. Other people in my class were never told this, and the office arranged to have them go get them during class. Had I know I would have been able to do this, I wouldn't have had to take 6 hours off of work the week before to sit around for mine. I literally was wasting money sitting in the class room while my classmates got to go get their TB test in our class time. I am not mad at the classmates for this, for they were not even told they needed one like I was. I am angered by the miscommunication and the waste of my money during this time. I did not pay over 1000 dollars to sit in a room while people went to get TB tests. Several students in the class had already worked as CNA's and were trying to help the rest of us learn. The administration seemed to think that this was "rude" even though all these people were trying to help. Kenric told a girl in my class he wanted to meet with her about being rude, but went so far as to text her the following day and say that the meeting was being "moved to lunch time.. if I feel like it" (This is not a joke, talk about unprofessional x 100). He also told her to "be nice in class today." She never gave him permission to text her. I do not care who it is, you should never be rude to your customers or tell them what to do in any type of business. Also, you never text your customers. I do not care what the circumstances are. Finally, the administration was able to get a new nurse in to teach us, Named Miss Sue. Miss Charity was also brought in to help us with the lab portion of the class. Miss Sue and Miss Charity were the only good part about the place. They quickly caught us up on everything we needed to learn, and did an amazing job of it. They were very nice, helpful, and fun. Its a shame that the administration was so rude, that even the amazing capabilities of the wonderful teachers can't change my view on how horrible of a place this was. Miss Sue will not be continuing at this place, so unless you figure out they have a new amazing instructor for their classes, I wouldn't suggest going here. People from the administration were rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful every time they spoke with somebody. Everyone in my class hated it and threatened to take their money across the street to career quest. I was originally going to go to career quest, but had heard DRM was better. Boy do I regret not going to career quest. read more

I just finished my Medical Assistant program and I couldn't be happier. They have a great combination of hands on and classwork. The instructors where great and I could see they actually care. This was a big journey for me and I'm glad I did it at DRM. read more

Let me start by saying, if you are considering giving DRM International Learning Center your hard-earned money, please, I beg of you, think again. If you do not read any more of this review, just know that you will regret going into business with this company, as they are exceptionally disorganized and unbelievably inconsiderate to the extent that they will ignore your phone and email correspondence, send you invalid checks, and eventually need to be taken to court. Allow me to elaborate and in doing so share with you my experience with DRM ILC, extending over the past 7-8 months. I am a recent college graduate, with medical-related aspirations. In the spring of this year, I sought opportunities for medical training in the Lansing area to complete over the summer, with hopes of obtaining a relevant certification to use in my gap year. Having worked two jobs throughout undergraduate to cover living expenses and save for post-grad endeavors, I did not take spending money lightly, and hoped that I might find an affordable course option. Hence, my going into business with DRM ILC. At first glance, they seemed a decent company with a great mission. I happily paid them their very reasonable course fee, in full, in March 2019, in order to reserve a spot in their May 2019 phlebotomy training program. No issues. As time progressed, however, I found a new employment opportunity, which seemed all the more fitting of my future goals. So, on May 2, 2019, I requested a refund from DRM ILC. And that, my friends, is where my seven-month-long rollercoaster began. Over that time course, I had numerous weekly phone and email conversations with multiple members of the DRM staff. I was at first told that my refund, as stated in the refund policy, would be available within 30 days, later told it would be available in 90 days, and eventually a time frame was altogether discarded. Staff were consistently clueless as to the status of the refund, and blame was always handed off between them. I was made to feel at multiple times throughout this process that I was annoying and worthless and that, worse yet, I would never see my $1500 again. Finally, however, on September 27, 2019, just five months after I requested my refund, I received a check in the mail from DRM. I took the business check to my local credit union with absolutely no problems. Until, some days later, I was told that the check issued by DRM ILC had, in fact, returned for insufficient funds. I immediately told DRM ILC accounting staff, who promised that this was a fluke and I would be issued a new check in no-time. Just one month later, I received a second check from DRM ILC. Again hopeful to finally see my money, I took the check to a local bank and, what do you know, the second check returned invalid. Better yet, when I tried to contact DRM ILC staff regarding this issue, I received no response. At that point, I had had enough. In November 2019, I took DRM ILC to small claims court, and (shocker) I won. The company was given a 30 day deadline, and on the final day of the 30 days, finally overnighted to me my $1500 refund (plus court fees) in the form of a cashiers check and money order. It took seven months and a court order to finally get my hard-earned money back from this disaster of a company. I can only imagine the experience I may have had if I had actually gone through with the phlebotomy course. Would the class have even taken place? Would I have learned all of the proper skills? Would I have gotten a valid certification or a placement for my clinical training? Honestly? Probably not. And, even if I had, I would likely have had to fight the staff and disastrous organization the whole way. Not what I would have wanted for my gap year, and I hope not what you want for your future - no matter your situation. You worked hard for the money you intend to pay DRM ILC. Please, please reconsider. read more

DRM is the best opportunity that I have seen for education. They have programs that pay for the classes so that I do not have to pay for it. I was able to get 5 certifications at NO COST. The instructors were great!!!! Great Experience!!!!! read more
