Unlike most people I am just happy to have my drone on the way. I sent it in a bit over a month ago and I called and emailed almost everyday. Never given a date it would be ready but they did tell me I was 4th on the waiting list of repairs. I know how businesses work and their will always be some people who try to mess you over. But for my experience I just think they need more drone nerds or need to work a bit faster and more talking to the people. Mavic 3 had a damaged camera mount. Emailed and they said to send it in. I sent t it in with $40 shipping and insurance. A week later....they reply that that don't repair DJI cameras due to supply shortages, tariffs, DJI delays, etc. etc.....their website highlights that they are the largest DJI repair service in the United States.....and you can't replace a camera on one of the most common drones in the US? And then, wait for it, got charged the full $140 for their 'service' and return shipping. And then, had to take time off work so I could be home waiting for the Fed Ex shipping to arrive because they required a signature. Dude - that was a total TOTAL waste of my time and energy. Oh, and money. Three weeks later, the same broken drone is sitting in front of me, I owe a coworker for covering for me, and I'm $200 poorer. Nice. read more

I took my MAVIC PRO to them to get a new gimbal that I installed synced to the system. after about a week, I received a phone call from them telling me it was ready. the first question I asked is does it now fly? they spoke to the technician, and responded to me with YES it flys. after getting the email bill for $69.00, I once again asked them if the quad was in flying condition, once again they assured me it did. on the following Monday I had my business partner stop by the north Miami store to pick it up, and he once again asked them if the drone was in a flyable condition, they said no. I was extremely disappointed not only because they lied to me, but the trip from West Palm Beach took over 2.5 hours up and back. apparently, it seems that all they are interested in is sell you high end or refurbished drones, not repair. I would be very careful dealing with DRONE NERDS, get estimate and promises in writing. beware! read more

Sales team seemed to be very helpful in buying my drone. Had issues with the remote controller from day 1 and the service department was no help at all unless I paid them. I was 5 days outside their 30 day policy. Find another place to buy your drones and use the manufacturer for service. Worst Mistake I ever made was using Drone Nerds. I sent them my drone for repair in June. After $240 and weeks, I received it back. It didn't fly right right out of the box for repair. The Gimbal wasn't working correctly. Since they say they warranty their work, I sent it back. They never replied to my question about warranty, only another $150 ransom to get my drone back. For the second time, it was returned in a non-working condition. The drone keeps disconnecting from the controller while in flight. All batteries are good, it only connects for about a minute before cutting off. If this company were as reliable as they advertise, I would be having fun flying my drone right now instead of writing complaints about their service. read more

Spoke with young man that put me on hold & came back & informed me I would need to replace camera also. I said then why can you buy just cable, why not in a whole kit. Wish I had seen these reviews before I wasted money shipping my drone two ways. Firstly their website said 7-10 day turnaround but when they received the drone they said 14-18 days. Asked them about it and no response. Then when they finally did get to seeing it (camera replacement on a Mavic Pro) I authorized the repairs. I then got an email a couple of days later saying "While preforming my repairs I noticed that your middle shell had cracked open as well. Sadly I don't feel safe letting this fly in this condition. I can preform the shell replacement for a discounted price of $144." At this point I just told them to send it back. I did the repairs myself and there was NO crack in the shell at all. They do not fix. They are parts changers. Thought they'd be able to install a new micro SD card slot. They wanted over $400 for a new board plus labor. When I sent it to them, the micro SD card slot let the card in all the way to the bottom, so was hoping I could shim it in place. When I received it BACK, the SD card only goes in half way ... and there are tool marks all over the slot like they rooted around in there (messing it up WORSE). I sent them an email, asking them to make it right, and never received reply. If you have a drone, before you fly it, insure it through state farm or DJI care to CYA. Worst mistake EVER sending a drone to these guys! They don't pay any attention to what they're doing. I wrote a long letter to describe what I had and what issues were. They said "send it to us". Insured the package for $70. The opened the box and the boxes that had drone in it and a controller and took pictures of what they received. 1 month later they said they don't work on those and had to pay to get it returned. Horrible customer service after repair. Sent in our Mavic 2 for a broken arm. The communication was good. After a $400+ repair, they sent the drone back. After a few days, we did our flight and noticed the gimbal jumped all over the place. I'll never do business with these guys again. Dishonest. Steal parts. They diagnosed the damage to my drone and sent an email with what needed to be replaced. I authorized the repairs. A few days later, I get an email that they are out of stock on two of the parts but that they have been ordered. A week goes by and I call for an update. I was told the parts are on back order. The last time it took 5 months to get these parts and that they are like gold if they can be found. I find them on the internet and order two sets (just in case there is a problem with one of them). I wrapped the parts in a note asking to have any unused parts returned as well as the damaged parts. Low and behold, when the drone came, none of the parts were returned. I'm sure they have used them on other customers repairs. Very dishonest! I've sent two emails and no replies. All I can say is Buyer Beware if considering doing ANY business with this company! read more

I purchased a drone here and it kind of got stuck in a tree. I went there and they were very helpful in teaching me what i did wrong. They even took the time to teach me how to land properly and account for wind. By the time i left i felt like a wizard of drones, i knew how to land and take off and i plan to not get stuck in trees anymore. The first time I called Drone Nerds was to inquire about refurbished drones. Bernardo told me I should 'check the website'. I said I already did that but was a little hesitant about buying something used and wanted a little more detail on condition. He had no desire to give me any more info. He kept directing me back to the website. The 2nd time I called, i decided against purchasing used since Drone Nerds wouldn't share anything about the condition of the individual drone with me....it was just too much of a hassle for them. I tried to purchase a new Mavic 2 and asked Robert if I could split the payment onto multiple credit cards. He said no. I asked if he could even divide it into two separate charges and he said no. I told him it didnt sound like they wanted my business. He said I could go to their ebay store and try to find out if PayPal would allow me to split the payment up. I asked if he could walk me thru it and he said no. I asked if I could speak to a manager and he said he was the manager. Drone Nerds must be REALLY busy with all the orders flowing in because they have no time or desire to give any customer service. They lost my business, as there are plenty of businesses out there willing to spend the time to check on the quality of a refurb product or to split a payment amongst multiple credit cards to make a sale. Complete waste of money. I should have checked these reviews before I sent my drone. Shipped it out twice to them and still doesn't work. They sent me a long list of things that they would need I paid for to make it work and as suspected the guy Luis was a con man and didn't really need all of those parts. They only wanted to mark up the price. So poor business decision by there techs. Robert also never responded after I complained about the poor service and continues to not respond to this day. I ordered a refurbished drone (on backorder) and had nothing but positive experiences with the people at Drone Nerds. I called before placing my order to ask how long the backorder might take to fill and they explained it's dependent on the number of drones being repaired. I put in my order happy to wait. I called half a month later to check on status and they said there still were not any refurbished drones in but that it might be worth checking out the open box options that were in stock. I checked it out later that day and the open box option of the drone I ordered was only $10 more! I called them back again and they upgraded my order to the open box option and got it shipped out that same day. Every time I've called they've been super helpful for my humble order. I too should have done research on there customer services and products. I ordered the antennas for my mavic pro because I have gone one trips where I keep losing signal from the controller. After sending them photos of my controller and asking for help, they direct me to some Facebook group where I SHOULD find helpful videos, only saw 1 video from the group and it's not even about the controller. My problem with the antennas, the adapter is too thick so the upper part of the chassis needed to be push up. After a 30 mins trying to figure out how to get the side USB port to line up, everything fit in very tight. Next problem was the video/photo buttons will not work because they are being pushed up so tight to the chassis. I recommend going with another company, maxxuav.com read more

Purchased a GoPro Hero 7 on Sunday via the web. It was listed as In Stock and I recieved no information regarding shipping. Contacted via Chat on Monday morning and got no response. Contacted via Chat again yesterday and no immediate response. Called Customer 'support' and spoke to Jeff who advised that it would ship yesterday and apologized for the confusion. Got a response from Rick McInnes to my chat inquiry at 12:49PM yesterday indicating that it was shipping yesterday. Got CHARGED for the item last night and NO SHIPPING info on my online account or via e-mail. Just got off the phone AGAIN...they are not in stock and they cannot get one to me! ive done business with these people a few times and each time was a crappy experience. If I could, I would fly an inspire 2 full speed into their faces. Paid for overnight shipping, but packages didnt arrive till close to a week later. Gave me the run around for weeks when I had my inspire sent in to get fixed. Their processing partner Bolt is a joke of a business. Hands down the worst drone company I've ever delt with. If you work where you don't live, don't bother ordering anything over $400 as it will be flagged for fraud and muck everything up. I bought a drone starter kit for over $500 for a Christmas present from my wife. Got the kit, and the controller never worked. Contacted Drone Nerds, who told me I needed to go through the manufacturer, who is in Hong Kong. Thanks to Covid-19, the helpful manufacturer couldn't get replacement parts to me for months. They did do a fine job on the repair, but their customer service is just plain horrible. My camera/gimbal replacement was $424 on a Mavic Pro Platinum. If I would have known up front how horrible the customer service was, I'd have just bought a new Mavic Pro Platinum on Amazon for $799. The company culture apathy is sad. read more

Totally frustrating experience! Tried 3 times to purchase Mavic Pro drone with fly more setup. The lousy fraud security app they use suspended the cc charge requesting transaction ID to complete. I contacted cc company and explained and get. The cc company used to provide but stopped in 2019. The website doesn't accept Paypal. Contacted support who said I could use PP on eBay store. Cool! This is ridiculous. I ordered a mavic mini battery and I purchased overnight shipping and I just have one question. When will I receive the battery? I have not received ANY emails with a tracking number or an estimated shipping date. I called customer service, and was transferred to "customer service" only to be answered by a retail location. I sent my drone to them for repair, and after 28 business days, they still had not looked at it. When I first inquired about the repair, a guy from the service department stated it would be 10-14 business days. Once, I was emailed and given reasons for the delay, but after that, they did not respond to my inquiries. I finally called them and asked them to ship my drone back (at a cost of $35!). If you need your drone repaired GO ELSEWHERE. My Phantom 4 reached them on June 11. After a week I still had not gotten a confirmation that they had received it. After multiple emails and a week later they finally had "checked it in" This is 3 weeks after it arrived at their "facility". I was told it would be diagnosed within 7 days and they would get in touch. I had diagnosed the drone and even bought the parts needed for repair direct from DJI and sent them with it. Three more weeks went by with multiple emails from me inquiring about it. No responses. Then, after 6 weeks, I receive and email stating "Dear Jeffrey, We will be returning your Phantom 4 to you with UPS/FedEx tracking number". No explanation, no repairs, and a waste of the shipping expense to get it to them safely. If you are a gambler or have money that you are not afraid to lose this is the place for you. If you want an actual repair facility to work on your drone look elsewhere. I have kept and cataloged every communication and correspondences with "drone nerds" over the last 2 months and will be sharing them with whoever is interested. read more

Wish I had checked here first. I found Drone Nerds on the DJI website and contacted them for service on my Phantom 4. I called them first and described my problem as a bent gimbal yaw arm from a crash and ask it they could fix it. Of course they said send it in, we strive to have repairs in 10-14 business days they said. After 21 business days I began calling daily. Finally a technician "diagnosed" it as a bent yaw arm and recommended a full camera replacement. Problem was they didn't have the camera and didn't know when they could get it. I said jut send it back. So, after a $69 fee + $135 shipping both ways I am right where I started. Then I found a yaw arm online for $21 dollars and a youtube video. I had it fixed and fully functional myself in 1 hour. I am not a tech and some of the screws were small but SERIOUSLY. Stay away from these guys for service. I spent a month and over $200 with no repair on something that took me $21 and 1 hour of my time to fix. If you can't do the repair yourself send it to DJI. read more

!!!CROOKS!!! They actually damaged my drone instead of repairing. My Phantom 3 Professional had crashed and as a result the gimbal broke. The rest of the drone was fine, and if I detached the gimbal it flew. I did the online repair request and received an RMA to ship it to the Miami repair center. My drone arrived at the facility on January 28th with a 2 week turn-around. The same day I received an email with photos showing what I had sent in. On February 8th I received an email stating that they hadn't forgotten about me, and that they were going to try to get to my drone within the next 7 days. 10 days later on the 17th, I get an email from a Joshua E. stating that I would need a new center board ($287), a new motor ($87), and possibly a new Gimbal ($418). I asked what troubleshooting he did, considering that they were throwing parts at a problem in the hopes that it fixes something, kind of like a shady mechanic might do. I then received an Email from someone named Rob (No last name) that the drone had damage to the main board and that one of the wires to the motor was crimped not cut or broken, but just bent. Several emails later, and realizing that I wasn't going to get anywhere, I sent a return shipping label to get my drone back. Now here is where it gets interesting. I open the case for my drone and first thing I noticed is that they had pulled the molex pins out of one of the flat cables. I then inspected the center board, and found that one of the "chip resistors" had been removed, it didn't fall off or break off, it was forcefully removed judging by the broken pads that the resistor sat on which went with the resistor, exposing the bare circuit board underneath. I continued to inspect the rest of the boards and found the exact same problem on the OFDM board. Another resistor plucked off of the board. Needless to say the drone doesn't function at all now. So essentially I paid for shipping to and from Miami, paid for them to misdiagnose the problem, paid for them to damage the boards (which of course they deny wholeheartedly), and now have a drone that doesn't do anything. Keep in mind the drone went to them with 1 problem (the gimbal), and flew fine. I am by no means saying that every person at that facility is shady, but Joshua, Chad, Antony, and Rob seem to back each other up no matter the situation. BAD BUSINESS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, BAD TROUBLESHOOTING, BAD EVERYTHING!!! I am currently looking into legal action against this company. read more

A strange company. I sent my drone for repair, had it returned after diagnosis - then later decided to go ahead with the repair (was corresponding with the manager over this). But apparently because I cracked a joke over the cost of the repair, but added I would like to proceed anyway, they have now black listed me, and do not reply to my emails - which are simply wishing to return the drone for repair. I apologised for my joke about the repair cost (where I said they were "driving me towards financial ruin, but would like to proceed anyway"), and have been as polite as possible, simply wishing to get the job done. I have tried emailing the other consultants I was in touch with, but I apparently have been blackballed. As I said, a strange company that does not want to do business, or receive my money as a customer (and apparently with no sense of humour). Perhaps they don't want new customers (?). I feel I am now cancelled, and regarded with loathing and contempt (even after apologising for my "crime") for wanting to do business. read more
