0 STAR! Fillings on my toddler's 4 TEETH fell off within a month. We contacted them immediately to have it redone but they gave us a run around. After several phone calls and follow-ups it became obvious that they do not want to repair Dr. Delaney's bad dental works on my 4 years old. Plus he has a bad bedside manner which left her Very traumatized. Wish we listened to the bad reviews they have and those they had in the past years which had been deleted. Pls. RUN! Over the past ten years using Yelp, I've never given a poor review. I wish I could give "Dr." Delaney less than one star. My son (4 at the time, 7 now) was scared, and cried the first time visiting here. This wasn't a problem, in fact I expected it. What I didn't expect was having the "Dr." mock my son for being upset and becoming obviously frustrated for the delay this caused. Rather than reassure my son that everything would be fine, and show patience to my child, he had my son STRAPPED DOWN to the chair, pinning his arms down with a large, blue Velcro straight jacket. I was sitting next to him, and will never forget the terror in his face, or the panic in his little voice. We never went back. Now at age 7, my son still recalls this event with great detail...traumatized. Luckily, we found a great pediatric dentist that is amazing with his patients (see my other reviews for his name, as this review is about something else). Today, my son had his first stress-free visit, and I told him we could write a review for his new Dr. as well as this guy. Please, read the Google reviews of "Dr." Delaney before you choose to trust him with your child. I wish I had. read more

Dr Delaney is a nice dentist but doesn't perform actual cleaning , just checkup. But ROOT on the other hand... is the worst orthodontist of all time! Doesn't know how to get braces glue off of teeth - it will stain your teeth forever if you get braces by that fool. read more

My son was strapped down and his teeth were drilled, I was assured that the numbing was working and this was not the case whatsoever, several people came and strapped him down. It's been years and he still remembers it and as traumatized by it, I was a young mom and listened to the Dr who made fun of the situation and pretended like it was normal - this wasn't normal and I have no idea how this place is allowed to exist after going to a normal and decent dentist where nothing like that ever happened. After reading other people have had the same experience, it's obvious this dentist is straight from hell and going right back there, he's clearly a pervert that enjoys watching your kids suffer and you should keep yourself and your kids very far away from this place. Absolutely disgusting and I feel horrible for my child. Enjoy burning in hell. read more

My 5yo daughter had a few cavities and we tried filling them at our regular dentist who didn't use nitrous oxide and somehow ended up seeing the anesthetic needle and freaked out. Our dentist was amazing but recommended we see a pediatric dentist who uses nitrous. We attempted a pediatric dentist (not Dr. Delaney) and it was a horrible experience. They were aggressive and lied to me about the amount of work my daughter needed. We ended up making an appointment with Dr. Delaney's office after a referral, and my daughter automatically eased up and loved the whole staff and Dr. Delaney. We made a few appointments for her fillings and today was our first filling. My daughter was completely calm and did amazing. The whole staff was kind and patient. The whole experience was amazing, given the circumstances and I'm so thankful we found this office and was able to fill her cavities. read more

I tried this dentist twice, hoping that my first poor experience was simply a rare occurrence and would not happen again in the future. I work in health care administration for a large local area health system, so I am very mindful of quality patient/medical staff interactions and with patients and families. Unfortunately I will be using this dental office as an example of everything NOT to do when health care workers interact with patients and their families/caregivers. I will say, that the visit was not entirely negative. The girls working at the front desk were very professional, polite and effecient. The 2 hygienists we saw were friendly when we interacted with them. But my second visit was equally as disappointing as the first, so we will not be giving them a third opportunity. The dentist himself, came across a bit arrogant and condescending. He gave me the impression that he was far too busy to engage me in meaningful conversation about my child's dental health. In fact I heard him comment to others 2-3 times about the large number of patients they had seen for the day like he was overwhelmed and just trying to get done as soon as possible. I had questions which he sped through, gave me some flippant answers to and made me feel like were rediculous questions. Specifically, I had questions about whether my child's dental issues could be the result of getting too little fluoride. His response was and I quote word-for-word "So you want me to answer whether there is enough fluoride in the world?" He also told me something I have never heard any dentist say before so I don't know if this is true or not, he said my son could just brush with water and toothpaste isn't necessary. Huh??? Now of course any parent is going to have questions when the dentist tells them your child can skip using toothpaste and just brush with water - I've been seeing dentists my entire life and I've never heard of such a thing. But he said this and walked away and started working on another patient, of course because he was just too busy and overwhelmed with the volume of patients to be professional and polite. The main dental office area is just an open area with several patient chairs so the staff spends more time talking across the room with each other than they do engaging the patients. So I was privy to their group discussions about what local area restaurants they wanted to order lunch from, how the previous day of work was absolutley horrible because all of their patients were just awful crying children. Mind you these patient visits are what get them their paychecks and keep their doors open, so it was be in their best interest to speak kindly and with appreciation for their customers/patients, not complain about how irritating they all were. The office felt a bit crowded, old and disorganized. It's was just all around a really poor experience. If you have the option to try another pediatric dentist I would encourage every parent to do so before settling for this location. I scheduled an appointment at another pediatric dentist office and I'm pleased to say I was able to give the new dentist an A+, 5 Star rating. They were clean, professional, polite, engaging. They provided written literature on what I could do as a parent to ensure my child had proper dental hygiene and health. It was such a relief to find that every pediatric dentist does not provide the failing customer service experience that Delaney, Richmond and Root provide. read more

Took my 2 year old daughter here today for her very first dental appointment with Dr. Delaney. The office staff were very friendly and the waiting room is very kid friendly. They have refershments (water and coffee), a play area, and the Disney channel playing while you wait. The hygienists were wonderful and so sweet with my daughter. They have fun decorated rooms where you sit and watch a quick dental movie to prepare your child and then you meet the doctor in these rooms. They explain everything to the parent and the child. My daughter warmed up to everyone immediately and went back with no problems to get her teeth cleaned. When your child is done getting their teeth cleaned/examined, they get to play again in another play area while the hygienist explains what they did and what they found to the parent. She got a bag full of goodies and a balloon for being so good. The only tears she had were when we had to leave, because she had so much fun there. We will be returning for future routine dental exams. read more
