As soon as I walked in the receptionist greeted me with a smile and got me all signed in. The office itself is very nicely decorated and there's lots of comofortable chairs and a couch so waiting wasn't too big of a deal. I did have to wait a little bit longer than some of the other people waiting but I was a new patient so I had more paperwork to take care of and they were returning patients. The nurse brought me back and took all my information down. She was very friendly which is wonderful when you're telling a stranger your sensitive personal information. The exam room was decorated very well also so that along with the friendliness of the nurse made me feel really comfortable. The doctor that I had was Janice Reynolds and she was also very friendly. She asked a few more questions about my health history than the nurse did it was still relaxing and I didn't feel uncomfortable about anything. The exam itself was very quick and nothing out of the ordinary. Before she left Janice let me know that they will call me with the results whether they're good or bad which I like because it's nice to know what's going on with your body. read more

Drs. Goodman & Partridge, OB/GYN - Obstetricians & Gynecologists Near Me - Maricopa, Arizona

You walk in to an empty waiting room without the typical window to arrive to. Walk around wondering who you're supposed to talk to. If you're lucky, about 5 minutes (10-15 more likely) a staff member with an iPad approaches you to see if you've been checked in. I get that its supposed to feel more comfortable and less like a doctors office, but they really need someone to stay out there. Wait times are typical of any doctor I've been to (between 10 and 30 minutes). The real reason I am giving this specific office and the specific doctor, Deidre Russell a 1 star review is lack of bedside manner and failure to communicate anything. On more than one occasion she made me make an appointment to get test results that could have easily been given over the phone. Not only that but she didn't even give them to me, she sent someone else in to do it and they had to go ask her what to do next and she STILL didn't bother coming in. read more

I had an appointment scheduled today. I filled out the required paperwork and gave them my insurance information. My insurance plan is through United Healthcare, after explaining to them that they must call the number to obtain the rest of the information they decided to talk amongst one another regarding my ID. My ID is from Hawaii, but what does that have to do with my insurance? I reassured them that my PCP and Lab were able to gather the rest of the information I'm sure they could too. I also told them with my plan that I pay monthly fees cover specialists as well. With that being said I walked out feeling like a burden, I can see why I stopped coming to them years ago and why my mother and sister have as well. read more

Don't ignore the bad reviews for their many locations. Their billing practices are practice-wide, not isolated to Maricopa. I thought, "This is my 3rd baby, I know what to expect and won't need any special question answering in my appointments." Well, their billing practices milk the system and their patients in every way they can. It completely discourages the open doctor-patient relationship and your very quality of care. Because YES, you will be faced with the doctor walking in and asking how you are and knowing you BETTER not list any discomforts or routine pregnancy complaints. The answer they expect from you is "Fine." If you don't answer "Fine," they bill your insurance for an extensive exam and then you get hit for more money too. Why? Because they have to write in your file what you talked about. Me? One time, I mentioned dry skin... Shocking for pregnancy, right? I transferred to a new doctor at 29 weeks because I knew they were doing wrong by my baby as I was afraid to answer their how-are-you's in honesty. You are then told that you have to put in for your records transfer to begin a release of your prepaid delivery amount ($700 in my case) that will be completed within 30 days. Now that the records transfer was done 20 days ago, I call for a status update and am told that they were sitting on the bills for all my routine visits and have only now submitted them all and up to 30 days after they hear back from insurance, then I will get my money. Add that up! 20 days have passed and a minimum of up to 30 days to go... +50 days for a refund of a deposit that I now cannot pay to my new OB. Are they holding you captive or what? Maybe they play the stock market with our money until/if they have to refund? I don't want to leave out their interpersonal skills. Dr Karabinas routinely enters the exam room without knocking. That's with my kids in the room (in the path of the door?), or with my top off for exam, and every other visit. That's not good patient skills. The office staff are dense, condecending, and uninterested in hearing from the patients. This is the Maricopa office, but the billing and refund issues are practice-wide. I am 31 weeks now & drive to a new OB in Ahwatukee for my TWICE WEEKLY VISITS. read more

Terrible experience - made appt to have Mirena iud removed - was asked if I'd like to go ahead and get my annual at the same time - when I came to the appt they stated they didn't have an iud removal in my notes and couldn't do it - when I came back to have an ultra sound guided removal I was told they could not remove it - I was in pain & bleeding - I was told the iud was not in my uterus but probably had penetrated the wall & I would need to be cut in 3 places so they could fish for it - went to another dr who gave me meds to take before & after & was able to get the iud which was right where it should be in my uterus - please do not trust these people with your body!! read more

One star is too much for this place. I walked in to two receptionists sitting on the couch with their iPads, never once looked up to greet me with a "hello", just received a "do you have an appt?" While they looked down. Rude. Then when I was seen by the dr, it was very robotic, no care, no concern just wanted my money. I think their attitude is the worst because they are the only gynecologist in the area and they can get away with it for that reason alone but I assure you I will drive a half hour/hour away to see another Dr/office who cares about me and not just my business. read more

The posh waiting and exam rooms? You pay for that. Goodman and Partridge is a baby factory. I don't know how they are for AHCCS, but if you have private insurance, they will nickel and dime you to death. I overpaid by at least $700 once my insurance kicked in, but they found a way to charge me for every little thing--including sending claims to my insurance company over a year after the service, which of course my insurance would not pay. I saw two different doctors and at least 3 nurse practitioners during my pregnancy. And not only did my doctor not deliver my baby, the doctor who did wasn't even with Goodman and Partridge. I never saw one familiar face from G&P while I was in the hospital. After my baby was born, I had an argument with one of the nurse practitioners over getting treatment for PPD. She wouldn't listen to me or help me but just wanted to lecture me. They had the nerve to charge my insurance company for an "extended visit." I'll drive out of town for my needs from now on. read more

My appointment was at 2:30pm and I took a PTO day for my appointment. I went to the office and was late for 3-5 mins and the doors were locked and lights were closed. They didn't bother calling me to check if u was on the way. Dr's. Goodman and Patridge was great with their patients, but since it switched to MomDoc their patient care became horrible. Think TWICE before considering MomDoc. read more

Love this place. Friendly staff. Efficient service. They are usually quite prompt and give each patient a sufficient amount of time. I only go for gynecology services but I'm sure the obstetrician services exceed expectations as well. read more

My review is not so much of their policies, which I have come to understand are fairly standard across the board, but for their delivery (no pun intended) method and attitude. It was my first pregnancy, and I didn't know that common practice is to pay your $500 or whatnot upfront since they KNOW you will be coming in several times over the course of a successful pregnancy. Fine. What isn't fine is when, with no explanation or warning from the office (which sent me to two different locations because one was under renovations and they were trying to shuffle me in. Again. Whatever.) I get a $500 bill in the mail. As one would generally do, I called and inquired what this was about. I have insurance and had already paid my copay. "Oh, that's your [can't remember what it's called, essentially the doctor's fees upfront rolled into one] fee. Would you like to pay it now?" "No, I'd like to know why I wasn't informed about this. When was I supposed to find out?" Okay, that was a little abrasive, I'll give you that, but in my defense I was pregnant and dealing with bankruptcy at the time. I was a little stressed. Then Miss Ma'am on the other end of the phone said in an incredibly snotty tone, "Well, you know NOW. Are you going to pay?" See, at the time I worked in a customer service call center. You have a question, you're confused about something, something was done wrong, or just doesn't seem quite right? You call me. And I would never, NEVER speak to someone like that. I saw red and told her to cancel my account, that I would be going to another doctor. She sighed and said she'd have to transfer me. The person cancelling my account was no better. I want to make it clear. I neither want nor expect someone to beg me to stay, or to apologize and lick my proverbial boots. But I do expect and require basic courtesy. When you have someone obviously upset and cancelling their account with your business (because let's face it. That's what this is.) you probably shouldn't lead off with, "What's the problem?" And then when I explain WHAT the problem is, it would behoove you not to say, "Well, that's the policy." I admit I wasted my time telling them I didn't appreciate not being informed upfront about the fee, and I especially was offended by their attitudes. I say wasted my time, because the entirety of the person's response to that was, "Uh-huh. Well, I've got your account cancelled. Is there anything else I can do for you?" I'm a nice gal. I was in the hospital, expecting a stay of over a month due to the pregnancy becoming high risk thanks to multiples sharing a placenta and my kidneys deciding to give up the ghost. I was told by several of the nurses that I was their favorite patient because I just rolled with the punches and dealt with being woken up every four hours for temps and such, weigh-ins, two one-hour NST's a day, and didn't get on their cases when they had to do unexpected tests and jab me with countless needles with a smile on my face and a joke for every situation. I want to clarify again. The issue was NOT with the fee. It makes sense. You will be, one would assume, seeing the same doctor from the confirmation to the delivery, and rather than nickel and dime you over the better part of a year, why not just pay up front? Great! Works for me. Heck, that's how I pay my car insurance. Six months up front, and then I don't have to worry about it again. But I WILL have the courtesy (not deference, not groveling, not kowtowing, just COURTESY) that I would give each and every one of my customers at my job. I went in for a simple pap-smear and instead got F$*@ed by the doctor with a speculum. I told the doctor I was deeper then the average girl and needed the longer speculum. She decided she knew better and inserted the "normal" one. She couldn't reach my cervix, so she pushed into me. She started to remove it, i would assume to use the correct sized one but instead pushed it back in. She kept talking about how she could almost reach and would wiggle it, pull it out a bit then push it back in. She did this more then a few times. She finally found my cervix and did the pap. I was so sore after this visit, understandably so! I would never go there again, I can't imagine how they deliver babies if they can't even use a speculum correctly! I drive out of town for my annuals now! read more

I have gone here for the last three years. The doctors have always been good, but I agree with the other poster that their billing procedures are a rip off. This year I was charged almost 800, which my new insurance did not pay. They billed me separately for office visit, pap, breast exam, annual exam and one other thing I can't remember that also seemed redundant to me, and obviously my insurance agreed. When I called, I was told some f the things I discussed, INCLUDING asking for a refill of the same meds I have been on, was not part of the annual visit. I was not there a very long time, and the doctor prob spent less than 10 min talking to me. So if you have great insurance, then go ahead, but I am going back to planned parenthood in Chandler. read more

The only reason I gave them one star is for the staff. I had the same issues as a previous reviewer did. They charged me separately for the pap smear, culture dish, breast exam, paper gown, EACH question & EACH prescription. It was all billed as if I had made seven different appointments. Thankfully when I contacted my insurance company to discuss this they negated everything erroneously billed by that office & said I would not be responsible for the "overcharges.". Then I contacted the doctor's office to talk about it. The girl in the billing office had been dealing with this nightmare for several months & was very apologetic. She told me herself she could not understand how/why they set their billing up that way especially since the office was losing patients. In the end, I was responsible for only $250.00 towards my deductible & the girl in the billing department got fed up & resigned. My insurance company had a good laugh at the ridiculousness of the entire situation. This is one practice I will NEVER return to & I DO NOT RECOMMEND them. read more

As a patient in the Maricopa office today, 03/01/2018. I witnessed such unprofessional behavior from the front office staff and their nurses on duty this morning. A young woman, scheduled to be seen was harassed, and embarrassed because of the insurance she had. These people have no skills and clearly lack of knowledge with the types of insurances our country has. In addition to profiling people. Their rant amongst themselves was so visible for all in the waiting room to see and hear. What an unpleasant moment and embarrassing even for me to witness. I will never come back to this office or any other one of this chain. These Doctors should seriously reconsider their staff and training. read more

I have not been to this location, but I have been to the Chandler locations, and the billing situation is not unique to this location at all!!! I paid a copay three times for one visit. The billing office and the front office do not communicate payments at all!!! I took my teenage daughter there to find out if she had been sexually active so that I could get her on birth control. The nurse who assisted the doctor in the office glared at me the entire time! She was not shy about her feelings on me making my sexually active teenage daughter get a pap test against her wishes. Never mind the fact that I am being proactive so that we do not have any unplanned pregnancies to hinder her future! They flat out lied to me and to this day have not credited my account with any one of the three copays I have paid! I refuse to give any of them my business. I thought that possibly Maricopa, being a smaller town, would be run differently, but thanks to Yelp, I know to stay away! Thank you for your reviews. You saved me time and money. read more

Im a new patient, got a pap done and havent heard anything so since i was in the area, i thought id stop in and check on the results. A lady with a fancy ipod approached me and immediately told me she cant help me, that i need to call their main office. Then i inquired about very simple medication for a thing all of us ladies deal with...again gotta call in. I guess face to face service is non existent. I just switched jobs so i wont have insurance for few months. I called in and i have to make an appointment to get my results? So im going to spend $200 just to hear that they're normal? Not going to happen! And if something is detected on my pap and you ipad fancy people dont contact me, then im sure there are legal ramifications. Oh simple meds (diflucan)...forget it! You need an appointment! Ive never had a cold, unapproachable relationship with any of my doctors. Im driving 45 mins to phoenix going forward to see my awesome ob gyn who i can call and speak to anytime. This was a mistake!!!! read more

Terrible at scheduling! They called me 18 minutes before my scheduled appointment to cancel, after I already left work and used my pto. Then they couldn't schedule me in until 4 hours later. Last time they cancelled on me last minute and the time before that they scheduled my appointment in chandler and I live in maricopa. The doctors are good but I'm going to just have to get a new ob, Goodman and partridge is just not working for me anymore. read more

Awful awful awful practice! I was a new patient going in for my yearly pap test. I waited for half an hour before being placed in a room. When doctor Acuna came in I explained to her that my mother has ovarian cancer and for peace of mind I get an vaginal ultrasound yearly as well as blood work with a CA125. They recomended the BRACH test which is genetic testing for ovarian and breast cancer. I went ahead with the test and waited to go in for my ultrasound. The ultrasound tech refused to do a vaginal ultrasound and did it on the outide of my abdomen instead even after telling her I prefer internal because of the accuracy. When I went back into the exam room Dr. Acuna came in and said she could see a "suspicious shadow" that she was concerned about. It nearly gave me a heart attack to hear that. When I told her it was an external ultra sound and not internal she was surprised and sent me back in for an internal ultrasound. The internal showed no "suspicious shadow" and DR. Acuna chalked it up as being the top of my uterus. So I had to pay for 2 ultrasounds and was a nervous wreck after the false "shadow " scare. A few weeks later I recieved a call about my BRACH test results saying I needed to schedule an appointment to go over my results. I called the office and asked if I could get the results over the phone since I work and after all it is not a diagnostic test but a genetic test that is either positive or negative. The office refused to give my results over the phone creating more anxiety over the results. I finally went in so I could find out the results and after waiting for 45 minutes to see Dr. Acuna she walked in and said that my results are NEGATIVE. That's it, just negative..visit over. $250 charge to hear this. I told her that it was ridiculous that they couldnt have told me this on the phone that I had to pay to hear this. Now my yearly blood test results are in and they want me to come in for those results. In the 22 years I've seen OBgyns and have had 4 children i've always gotten results over the phone no problem. Again they refuse to tell me on the phone that my results are normal. This place is a complete rip off and all they care about is money. I also have lost faith in Dr. Acuna for misreading my ultrasound and scaring me about the "shadow" as well as her incompetant ultrasound tech who refused to do a vaginal ultrasound the first time. I WILL be switching doctors ASAP read more

This practice is an assembly line, money making machine. Its like going to a car wash or a grocery store, You get in line, wait, wait and wait, then Pay, and NEXT ! The appointments were almost never kept. Wrong time, wrong office, wrong doctor. I complained again and again once I got tired of receiving the half hour massage coupons I was able to talk to Dr. Partridge him self self. Finally the hysterectomy was schedule and to my surprise Dr. Partridge was in the hospital taking care of 6 deliveries and two other surgeries and NO help. Can you believe that? How can you schedule surgery knowing that you will be ON-CALL ? You do not need to be a doctor to figure that one out. I went into the OR ready to go and BAMM. Another delivery Dr. Partridge was gone again. I can understand the uncertainties of mothers giving birth anytime. But this doctor did not seek help from anyone else. He kept me in standby I laid there for more than 12 hours between the recovery room and the OR until I did not want to take the risk of having an overworked tired old doctor performing surgery past midnight. That was it. I am gone! I am not going back. read more
