I'd rather drive an hour or two for better service. I had zero issues with Dr. Syers. She was great! But what good does that do me if her staff refuses to schedule me to see her. These people just don't care. I can honestly say I've never experienced anything like this at a doctors office before. Also, I just found out that my mother in law stopped coming here because of the same exact reason.

Anjulie especially gave me the confidence to have my baby according to my birth plan wishes and made me feel excited to enter motherhood, and she continues to educate and empower me to take care of my body so I can take care of my baby. To make matters worse, this does not even include the separate laboratory fee for the Pap smear, which adds another $140 to $250--bringing the billed total to nearly $1,000!! Google this right now: "How much does a women's wellness exam and Pap smear cost in Arizona?" It is not $1,000. But I am a self-pay patient, so they applied a discount YAY! My bill is $353.71, plus $144 directly to the lab--a grand total of $496.71. Again, look up the average cash-pay rate in Arizona; it will not say $500! Why is it so high here? Thanks for asking. Well at this darling practice, a standard pelvic exam is NOT considered part of a women's wellness exam! Unbelievable and unacceptable! How did I get that? Great question, thanks for asking. Well, by going into my patient portal of course (on May 12th 2026) and asking for it. Then be completely ignored and ask again on May 23rd. Then ask twice on June 2nd because they are not directly answering you. June 3rd they give you some BS and don't send you an itemized bill so you ask for a manager. June 8th ask for an itemized bill and manager again. June 15th as for a supervisor and itemized bill again. June 16th they say "Can you your email address." And you ask them to send you your itemized bill through the secure patient portal. June 18th you send them "Because you has repeatedly refused to provide the legally required itemized statement for the $784.09 gross charge and have evaded all requests to speak with a supervisor, I have officially filed a formal consumer complaint against this facility with the Arizona Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division." Then FINALLY on June 24th 2026 you get this breakdown. It was just that easy! So anyway, do not go here. They use deceptive billing practices. It's been difficult to build a relationship with anyone or feel like I'm receiving personalized care. Another frustration has been trying to get help through the patient portal. Whenever I've reached out with concerns or questions, I was often told to go to the ER instead of receiving guidance from the office. It makes me wonder what the purpose of contacting my OB is if the response is almost always to go to the hospital. As a patient, I expected more support and communication from the team. I was also disappointed by the limited use of ultrasounds during my pregnancy. I still don't have an estimate of my baby's weight because each visit mainly consisted of measuring my belly with a tape measure. I understand that fundal height measurements are a standard part of prenatal care, but I expected more information about my baby's growth, especially when many other expecting mothers receive additional ultrasounds when medically appropriate. I often left appointments with more questions than answers. Overall, I never felt like my care was personalized or that the providers took the time to truly get to know me as a patient. Pregnancy is a time when reassurance, communication, and trust are incredibly important, and unfortunately, I didn't feel I received that level of care.

The same cannot be said for Dr. Murray -- someone I never saw but who was the person that reviewed an ultrasound of mine and said it was normal with no follow up needed. Imagine my surprise when my PA comes in during a different visit showing me my entire ovary covered in cysts. It is no secret Dr. Murray is dismissive of young patients, however, to call an ultrasound showing an ovary full of cysts "normal" for a patient you've never met, is close to malpractice. The office will also deny you care. On two occasions appointments I was requested were denied. One for a follow up for an abnormal Pap smear "just get another one in a year" and another where I was told "nobody does that for young patients." As much as I LOVE my PA, the office itself is a mess and I don't want to continuously have to fight to talk to a real person, deal with the rude front office, and basically beg for anyone other than my PA to take me and my pain seriously. We recently moved to the east valley and needed a new OB as I have a high risk pregnancy due to my previous medical history. I explained to them on the phone if this was someone their office could handle and I needed to see an OB not a nurse or a midwife due to the complications of my pregnancy. I was scheduled for an ultrasound and "doctor's " visit. The front desk seemed more concerned about their nails and hair than doing their job. I had to redo the same paperwork 3 times because the girl upfront kept deleting it. The ultrasound tech was rude and just seemed annoyed we were there. She has zero personality. While the medical assistant was extremely nice; she did not seem to know what was going on; her nails were longer than her fingers which don't seem professional in a medical setting or even sanitary & she was chewing gum with her mouth open as she spoke to us twirling her hair and ignoring most of what I was saying. I was seen not by a doctor but a nurse; she 100% ignored my questions and concerns. I was then told thy were not going to do anything but have me come back because " we don't even know if you have a viable pregnancy " I was 6 days earlier than we thought and instead of being professional she was rude and heartless. This causes so much unnecessary stress. We got TWO second options that same week and they BOTH agreed the due date would be moved and baby was healthy and growing and there was NO reason to say what she said especially since I am still nursing and there is zero way to know the exact date of conception. When I told her what she said " no you HAVE to be this far along and you're just not matching that " It causes so much unnecessary stress but the way the entire appointment was handled was unprofessional and has zero human compassion. The only reason that I even stopped to wright this review was because the front desk called me today to verify that I canceled my apt. When I said yes I decided to go with an office with better bedside manner her response was " oh yeah that TOTALLY makes sense " and laughed and hung up.

I went to my appointment at 40 weeks, and we decided to schedule another appointment for the following week to discuss the option of induction if the baby did not come. When the baby didn't arrive, I went for my appointment, but the receptionist informed me that Dr. Brotsky had gone on vacation and wouldn't return for a week. I understand that people have lives, but this information hadn't been communicated to me, and I was 41 weeks pregnant. I felt abandoned. I wanted to speak with a nurse practitioner at least to ensure the baby's safety, but they told me I didn't need to talk to anyone and instructed me to call the hospital in three days to schedule an induction. I experienced a lot of anxiety waiting for the baby and having no backup plan. Three days later, the hospital called me and asked me to come in within 40 minutes because apparently, Dr. Brotsky had scheduled an induction for me, but no one had informed me. We rushed to the hospital. Dr. Brotsky returned for the birth even though I had been told she was gone for a week. After practicing pushing with her a few times, she left me with the nurse. I had an epidural so I was not feeling contractions and the monitor was not working and not reading them. I was pushing but not making progress. When I asked Dr. Brotsky to come back, she responded with, "How can I help you?" when I was so vulnerable and needed guidance and support. Once she arrived, my baby was born in 20 minutes. So she could have helped by simply doing her job!!! I am grateful that both my baby and I are healthy, but I couldn't have the birth I had envisioned because of poor communication and planning. I don't recommend Dr. Brotsky. While she seems to care, it feels insincere, and in reality, she does not seem to prioritize her patients' needs.
